He shook his hand a little, waving off the impact of his hand connecting with the side of the senshi's face. It had sent a jolt straight through his wrist, a small tingling sensation ebbing along his arm, but it lasted only a few seconds before it eased away.

There were those screams again; Wolfeite rolled his head, cracking the bones of his neck and stretching as he surveyed her, lying in a heap on the ground. She was still trying to get up, and to anyone else, it might have been brave, even strong.

To Wolfeite, however, it was merely pathetic.

His tail flicked behind him as he walked, and he crouched in front of the senshi, hands braced on his knees. For a few moments he just stayed there and looked at her, golden eyes tracing the lines of blood, the injuries, the fact that she had tried so hard and still had yet to get what she wanted.

How pitiful.

Wolfeite reached out a hand, blood damped, gloved fingers touching the side of her face and smoothing down. If she did not move her head, they would leave fingerprinted streaks of blood along her cheek before his hand fell away.

"Don't worry," he said lightly, "I won't kill you. Not today. I'll leave you like this so you can come back and find me again."

He straightened, ears flicking up, and Wolfeite smiled coldly down at the senshi.

"I expect you'll want some sort of single-minded foolish revenge, as senshi are so needlessly invested in these days, so when you get all of that in your head, come and get me and I will kill you." The grin was back, wide and sharp, distorting his features as he stepped away.

"Come and get me, and I will rip the starseed from your still beating chest and eat it whole," said Wolfeite, and then he was gone, teleporting away, disappearing into the night to leave the senshi alone with her thoughts and her pain.
