Super Dia
As more and more agents made the leap, the general pace of everyone in the Labyrinth was increasing steadily. Everyone wanted to be the one, everyone wanted to be Metallia's favored.
Dia was no exception.
The turns were growing quicker - right, right, another right. There were others ahead of her, those who had been faster, quicker. Including, none other than Tourmaline herself. Tourmaline, who had gained favor in the eyes of the Great One already, promoted in front of all to see.
No, she couldn't win - not this time.
Without thinking or looking, Dia took a giant leap onto the platform and immediately triggered the first boobytrap. Before she could react, a large metal ball came hurtling down towards her, attached only by a long, swinging chain. She saw it only seconds before it hit, dropping as quickly to the ground as she could.
If only she'd been quicker.
One elongated spike on the ball sliced into the back of her arm, ripping both fabric and skin. She felt the piercing of its point as it stabbed through and let out a bloodcurdling scream. Her other arm instinctively reached to grab the bleeding wound, fingers clasping over the torn flesh.
Curling up into a ball, she hissed between her teeth and glanced up to watch the metal monstrosities as they continued their rhythmic swinging.
So much for trying to steal the lead.

General Serandite
"Swinging traps, fan-freaking-tastic." Her hands grabbed an non-existent throat, swinging wildly in the air out of frustration.
Her eyes widened, ducking to avoid a hazardous swing. If possible, she would have liked to wait for General Alkaid to lead the younger members forward but her previous leap had put her a bit ahead. Ahead enough for metal balls to rush her steps, pink heels swinging with lightning fast reaction. Her back bent backwards, in a limbo manner, to avoid the next set of flying spiked balls. It was probably a good thing she had so much training sessions with giant bunny swinging arms. Getting hit in the face so many times had been highly unappreciated.
She looked back on Super Sailor Dia and winced a little bit, wishing she could just grab the candied scout, and jerk her forward. (ITS OK DIA, THESE TRAPS WERE NOT YOUR EVERYDAY KIND)
"Watch out--"
With a rougher kick than intended, her leg wildly swung out to kick the curled up super forward, perceiving that the adorable super's was about to be smashed or cut further in without the help. She couldn't help the last resort of her kick, unable to move the super in any other way. Not that the super wasn't already quite damaged already from the array of attacks. Before the super could roll into another part of the trap, Serandite plucked her from the ground, threw her into (what she assumed) the end of the traps, balls subsiding. The kick and throw was more damage, however not life threatening, unable to stop the damage from such actions. She leapt on a rampaging ball, swinging herself, landing roughly to temporary freedom.
She was too breathless to rescue any other unfortunate person, praying they would pass through with (hopefully) less damage.
She immediately tore a part of her large back ribbon, with the intention to wrap Dia's wounds and cuts.
(IF THIS ISNT OK, please tell me @ staff but poor dia, I COULDNT HELP IT, GHOULIBOO WTF A 1?!!)

Grendel - Guardian Cat
Dia charged ahead without pause or hesitation, causing the cat to bristle with alarm. She may have grown quickly, but she was still young! And a mistake here could be-- His ears flattened with horror at the sound of her scream, and Grendel could smell the blood far quicker than he could see it. "Dia!" He yowled, but General Serandite reacted more quickly than he and literally kicked the corrupted senshi to safety.
He didn't hesitate for once, leaping and twisting through the swinging traps with all the natural grace of a cat before he worriedly raced to the pair. "What were you thinking?!" He scolded, placing his paws on Dia's leg to try and offer some comfort, kneading with agitation.
"..Thank you, General." He muttered as an afterthought, his ears pinned with guilt.

Lt. Prasiolite
She made it over the jump well enough, but froze, eyes momentarily wide at the swinging, maiming death traps. She was less than enthused about so much as step one foot towards then and very unsure a little bit of favor or helping at all was anything close to worth it.
If it wasn't for the fear should she cop out, what might possibly happen, she'd have turned and took a running leap back over the jump they'd first encountered. "This is some s**t," she mumbled more to herself than anyone around her before rolling her eyes and taking off at a run to make it past the death trap.
She weaved about the floor, narrowly escaping one that swung out right in front of her, but catching one, which tore slashes in the fabric that covered her back. She cried out from the sting and figured grabbed skin as well. The pain was not unfamiliar, but it took more will almost than she had to keep going.
"If that scars, I'm seriously going to kill someone," she ground out. Her vanity kicking in full force. She was so ready to be done with this.
She was determined. Not just to do well for herself (she would win this competition of theirs), but she could not afford to embarrass herself in front of Alkaid, on a task for Metallia no less. Her pride was battered, not broken, but it was still something she could not afford. There were only so many things she could rise from, and without Laurelite in the picture -
- temporarily removed from the picture. She was not dead, that Amphitrite refused to consider as an option.
The jump was one thing. The balls were more challenging, and for all her training using her small size to her advantage, one of them still managed to clip her painfully on the shoulder. Not that she cried out. Amphitrite was, at least, better than that, even if it ached and even if she knew it would bruise terribly later at best.
There were worse things, though. One of the senshi Alkaid had been charged with (Dia) had taken a much worse blow, and there was blood. The senshi of shells made a move as if to go to her, but seeing that she was attended to already (by Tourmaline), there was no need.
Another senshi (Noctua), though, one Amphitrite didn't know, wasn't so lucky. Bleeding and limping, trudging forward on her own. It only stood to reason that the super corrupt trailed towards her, offering a hand and a concerned look. "I know you don't need my help, " assuming this senshi was even half as prideful as Amphitrite herself, "but will you take it?"

What was this, an Indiana Jones flick? Noctua growled as people passed her, clearly more powerful than she was on several levels. Just as hope began to slip from her fingers, she felt the powerful surge of pride pushing her forward. She would lay hands on that box. She had to. For Cinnabar. She would show her general that she wasn't a liability. That she wasn't a hindrance or a problem. That she could and would do whatever it took for Cinnabar. After all, the voice of the shadows had already praised a couple of generals for the doings of their underlings... Noctua would bring Cinnabar pride.
Edited to add reaction to RNG
Or die trying. The first swinging ball knocked Noctua off her feet. The next kept her down. The third swung her up against a wall, and she felt something soft inside of her cracking. Fabulous. Embarrassed tears flooded her eyes and threatened to warm her cheeks, but she swallowed them back. Soldier didn't cry. Not even when another large ball took a swing at her and caught her full in the shoulder. Noctua spun out and cursed, falling farther and farther behind. How was she going to prove herself now? When she finally limped out of the trap, twisted ankle, nasty nose bleed, crushed ribs and badly bruised body, pride gave way to washing hopelessness as the pack surged a head. Maybe she should have stuck with Cinnabar... to was too early to leave the nest. Everyone else seemed to have a team... this was a mistake. But it was too late to stop now.
Noctua ignored the screaming pain in her ankle and chest and pushed forward. The voice in the shadows would not praise attempts... but maybe Cinnabar would... or at least... not push Noctua away when she saw her failure.
Edited to add reaction to character
And then a hand fell into her view. Even with one eye quickly swelling, she could clearly see the nautical soldier before her. She had the same cracks as Noctua did... she was the same as her... Noctua looked from the hand up to the senshi and then back to the hand, considering things carefully before she acted. She needed help, that much was true, but she wasn't about to admit it. And this soldier knew that. There was respect in her voice. Not pity. Embarrassment was pushed aside by something warm and Noctua took the other girl's hand without a word. She would thank her later, when she wasn't spitting out globs of blood.

Tourmaline felt a brief puff of pride at being able to keep up with the two generals who were currently leading the race through the Labyrinth. That pride might have continued with a burst of speed if she hadn't heard Dia scream.
The young Captain reeled back, pausing beside the General (Serandite) and her wounded friend to hold her hand out for the ribbon. "General, go on ahead. You've got a better chance of staying in the lead. I-- I'll look after Sailor Dia." Her last words were spoken grudgingly; not because she held being slow or clumsy against Dia personally this time, but because she was actually being mature enough in this venture to do the right thing.

Captain Quartz
With the first obstacle cleared and the three of them safely past, Quartz let All-One scatter somewhat, a few of its small bodies fanning out over the path ahead. What news it brought back was of a different kind of gauntlet, one they soon saw: weighted bludgeons, some of them spiked, swinging in pendulum arcs from the ceiling like there was an army above them trying to strike at them lazily with a series of long flails.
Dangerous, certainly -- but not impassable, not with the right timing. And some of the agents ahead seemed to be managing just that.
Quartz rushed less. Panic, haste, adrenaline -- these things could master the senses all too easily, lead to anxiety and error, and there was already enough to be anxious about on a battlefield. It would be better to contemplate the quiet calm of a glass of wine, and make his way through one obstacle at a time.
He let patience, not urgency, carry him through.

Corrupted Ceraskia
This did not seem at all what was advertised. Instead if a slow and careful crawl through a trap laden maze, it appeared to be, instead, a race. So much for the call of intellect.
The corrupt frowned, clearly disappointed, and a glance up at her general showed a similar response. Well, if it was to be a race, then she could do no less than very her best to prove herself in the physical as well as the mental. She wasn't unfit. As a dancer she was no stranger to conditioning and sore muscles. That jump, however...
Ceraskia took the invitation from Schröl, and wrapped small hands around Barbery's tail, allowing her mistress and her youma to carry her safely across. From there she would advance on her on, stepping out if the taller woman's shadow to face the coming challenges as they came.
She wouldn't have to wait long. Up ahead she heard the shift of stone and the rattle chains, followed by cries of pain from those that had taken the lead. Ceraskia slowed, just a bit, to observe the obstacle as it came into view. This would be a matter of timing, that was all. She could do this.
It would all be up to pacing. Not yet. Move forward, and don't stop. Not yet. No matter what, do not stop. Go!
The petite senshi moved with the sort of grace one would expect from a dance. Elegant body twisting and moving to narrowly avoid the swinging weights that threatened bodily harm with every heavy pass. She was doing well, or at least started out that way, but a noise, a cry of pain off to one said, caused he to flinch. It was delay enough t throw off her timing completely, and the girl had to bodily dive for safety at the end, not quite avoiding a spiked ball as it swept past, leaving an angry, bleeding slash across the backs of barrow shoulders.
It hurt, yes, but it could have been much worst. Ceraskia rose back to her feet with a small wince, ready to continue onward.

General Schörl
Energy wasted again, running like a high school track team down the center lane of a car wash of death, essentially. Considering that the General Queen is dead, and there may be plenty MORE objects down here beyond this mysterious one, why all the more are we not taking time to disarm the traps and set up regular surveillance and operations down here with the SpecOps and Infos?
Schörl dove and leapt a few more obstacles, keeping pace to Quartz. Ceraskia was doing well for keeping in unit as well. Then stumbled with a wound. Blood smelled strong against the dust and unlife of the Rift, squinching the General's nose. But the Corrupted scrambled herself up and didn't need scooped to her feet to continue.
Barbary huffed, rippling black fur along her shoulders. Trying to dissipate the annoyance through fur and whiskers like a radio tower to others.

Captain Amethyst
That seemed easy enough.
Amethyst was glad that he made it. Never mind the fact that he was trailing behind two Generals, one Captain and even a cat who were in the lead. He stopped for a moment to observe the trap that a few among the group that went ahead had accidentally triggered, making a note to himself of the specific spots he ought to avoid before pressing on with exercised caution.

General Ascendant Alkaid
The first obstacle was cleared, although not with any great amount of skill. As she hit the ground on the other side of the gap, she felt the jar in her plates from toe to head. She grimaced, but she knew she could not stop to reassess.
She was in motion again within moments, keeping herself in sight of those that had surged ahead of her. Ahead of her - right into the next trap. The hard jaw of the Ascendant grit as the first of her group was all but smashed to pieces, in turn picking up her pace. She wasn't sure what she could do for the injured down here but she had given her word to escort them - which meant she was responsible.
Both of her bright eyes narrowed upon the pendulums swinging at the agents, tracing the arc of their destruction as if her life depended upon it. By the time she leaped past the first whistling sphere there was confidence written into her eyes and the way her feet met the ground, in every pause and turn through the jungle of swinging spikes. All it would take was a single wrong move and Alkaid suspected a well-placed smash might break her to pieces.
Would she survive that?
A last, graceful leap found her heels planted firmly against the ground, just past the danger zone, with her cloak fluttering behind her - snagged and released by the smooth curve of the final sphere. She paused only long enough to assess the situation around her and how unfortunate some of the officers had been thus far. Dia seemed worse for wear, but unsurprisingly, Tourmaline had stopped to give aid. That seemed very like anyone within Labyrinthite's team, looking out for one another. There, too, Amphitrite had stopped to aid another corrupt whose name she did not know.
As she slipped past yet another nameless dark senshi rising proudly back up to her feet, she pressed a soft, encouraging hand against her side to keep her going. They were not in the best condition, but they would survive. Not wanting to waste what could be precious time, she surged forward along the path and only spared one last, encouraging yell for Serandite - whose name, at last, she had remembered.
"Sera, they've got it - let's go!"

Whoops, forgot to tag bee. Sorry for the doubles everyone..
Kitalpha had only been quiet for the beginning of this journey because she was waiting for the right opportunity to say something to rile people up. It didn't quite present itself right away, so she kept mum for once in her life. Some part of her tingled with excitement over being sent on a mission by Metallia herself; granted, she barely knew anything about who or what Metallia was, but she was sure that she was a very powerful and very badass force capable of wrecking a lot of people's s**t when she had to.
Reflections aside, the second obstacle gave Kitalpha the setup she was looking for. "Look, everyone! BALLS!" She giggled to herself, knowing how horribly inappropriate her jab was at the situation but not really caring. She cracked her knuckles loudly before uttering some famous last words.
"Let me show you guys how this is DONE."
All she would end up showing everyone was the reason why basic Corrupts didn't get much in the way of commendations for their skills (or at least, basic Corrupts that functioned like Kitalpha did). She utterly botched her jump, and a spiked ball came down nearly on top of her. She hit the ground hard, and aside from the gouges in her back from the spikes, she was now the proud bearer of some nice scrapes along her arms and front. The godawful banshee shriek that escaped her in that moment had to be hard to be on the ears of everyone forced to hear it.
Yeah, she made her way to the other side eventually. Not that it really mattered, given the banging up she got from the spiked balls. I guess that's the last balls joke I ever make, she mused as she pulled herself out of the haze of pain.

General Osumilite
Goddamnit. General Osumilite was meant to be the pretty face of the Negaverse, not a bludgeoned one beaten down by a series of traps. Nonetheless, he maintained his composure and grace as he dodged the swinging pendulums of spiked balls on chains until he safely made it to the other side with nary a scratch on him or his suit - just a small scuff on the shine of his shoe.
Some Agents managed to propel through the obstacle with nothing short of miraculous skills! Alkaid powered through the swinging, spiked weapons; Grendel and Serandite were hot on her trail, Osumilite only a step behind. Amethyst, Schorl, Quartz and Tourmaline came in a wave behind them.
Apatite might have been proud that the agents passed so expertly, but then, she might have been disappointed her traps had so far been ineffective.
But that was going to change; there was little time to recover. If Metallia hadn't programmed a map, the course might have been much more effective; the labyrinth was almost impossible to navigate without the course plotted for them. You could get lost down here—permanently. While the Agents didn't have to worry about travelling down a hundred different paths, they still had to worry about the traps.
Even the ones that weren't on the map.
Unlike the previous two obstacles, this time the map did not beep to warn of an upcoming trap—instead, darts began to shoot from either side of the wall. They seemed unlimited in number and, if they didn't hit their target, hit the wall across from them with an eerie metallic thud.
Use your super speed to dodge what you can and pray that those darts don't have anything too awful in them!
