A small growl left her. Dem was trying to leave the cursed desert! Not spend more time in it! Curling her upper lip back she showed off one of her sharp incisors. Still, the idea of people like this man out there. It was enough to make her hackles rise. "I've a better idea." Leveling her gaze at the woman she gave a slight narrowing of her eyes.

"You will find out and bring me the information." V'demhe didn't expect that the shifter would do such a thing for free. After all she had just more or less said she was a mercenary. "Consider me a client and that is what I want. You will be paid when I have the information." She waited to see if the idea of more profit would spur the woman to agree.

"I've an even better idea."
Dris'rynne snarled, "You calm down and speak politely. If I were opposed to helping you I wouldn't have told you as much as I have, so keep that in mind." She'd been raised to fear and despise alkidikes. That view might have changed over the years, but there was no way she was going to so much as turn her back to a snarling, armed amazon.

"Once you've had time to breath then I'll see about getting your information. I'm not turning you loose on Oba until I know you can get this done quick and clean. You're a mother; you have to go back to those girls, and you won't be able to do that by rushing in somewhere because you're pissed." She may not have been a birth mother, but Dris'rynne had raised her sisters since they were born. The last thing she wanted was for some jacked up alk to get herself killed and leave behind orphans.

Dem slowly drew her hand up to her blade. She'd put it away since she'd not thought this woman as an enemy, but her disrespect in an already tense situation was starting to change the Alkidike's mind. "I'll make it more clear. I want the information. You can get it for me and meet me in Matori. I am getting out of Oba and returning to my daughters." When she spoke she kept her words short and to the point. V'demhe didn't want there to be any misunderstandings about it. "I will more than likely hire someone else to take care of the job since I value the time with my children more than the time it would take to chase down the worthless crooks." So there was no need to worry about unleashing her on the desert sands. Besides, if this woman truly thought she would fall at the hands of someone so low.. well then she had another thing coming.

Dris'rynne clucked her tongue. What point of a mercenary company in Oba did this alkidike not understand? Meet her in Matori? Most of Dris'rynne's jobs were on the northern border, so she knew without a doubt it wouldn't be her that ran the information down south. She'd have to pass this to Tryss and see what she thought. At least the alk would get the information she wanted, and worst case scenario she wouldn't get any information at all.

"I'll have to have a location to drop off the information." She would try her best to help, if only because this woman had helped her today and it was for a good cause. Her attitude wasn't winning any favors with Dris'rynne, though, so she wanted to wrap this up as quickly as possible. "And once I do I'll be on my way."

Now that was more like it. "On the sea side of Sald." V'demhe gave the location of where she would be in order to have the information sent to her. However, it wasn't where her daughters were. Dem apparently didn't feel like putting them in close proximity to anyone that might try to harm them. When she was told that once the information was dropped the woman would be on her way the Alkidike nodded her head. "That would be just fine. All I want is the information." With things back to a more civil air she relaxed and no longer had her hand poised near her blade.

"I apologize for my anger as well. You did nothing to deserve it." Honestly, she felt a bit embarrassed by it. V'demhe usually was very good at keeping her anger in check. So with a polite nod of her head she excused herself from the scene and gave only a whistle to command her Janarim that he was done making a mess.
