Muris sighed. She really didn't want to be having a conversation with the girl right now. She wanted to curl up and mourn her loss. Still, she couldn't just tell her to get out-- she didn't want to give the Fey any more of an excuse to torture her than they had, "A bat, huh?" Well, that would explain her poor vision. Still, Muris was pretty sure bats weren't completely blind...well, maybe this girl had just gotten the raw end of that deal.
"I am the Mouse," she said. Definitely wasn't going to tell them her name. Not with that Aesculus look-alike right there anyways. If the Moon Court knew precisely who they were dealing with...well, if she managed to get out of here (not that she thought that possible at all) she would be in trouble then. Lots of magicks (according to Shiaree) could be performed when one knew the name of the recipient...

"The mouse? You must be all pretty, because I was told once that mice have wriggly noses too." Pteryx shifted closer to the woman, taking up one of her hands after feeling around a bit. She stroked it in a gesture she hoped was seen as comforting, and whispered, "Don't worry, I think he is too busy brushing his hair. Someone told me he thinks he is handsome."
Pteryx never stopped pretending her eyes were totally useless, almost clutching to the Mouse's hand as she shifted back again for 'help'.

Muris shrugged, "He does remind me of a friend of mine. They could be brothers, for all they look alike."
The resemblance really was quite uncanny. At any rate, she was not going to be bothered contemplating how vain this Moon Court man was. "Though, I am not much to judge whether or not he is handsome. I spend most of my time with horses, not men."

"Really?" Pteryx was a bit taken back, was this friend sun court? That was interesting at least, Lupinus being close in looks to a Sun Court fey... or someone friends to a Sun Court fey. But she continued on as if she hadn't noticed, "Really, you spend time with horses? Do you only like horses then? I've never seen a horse... of course... but I always wondered what they were like. Horses, I mean. I don't care about boys, they have germs and stuff."

Muris shook her head, "I do not mind people, really. But I do love horses. I'm..." She blinked. Again, she was giving too much information, "I go riding a lot."
She bit her lip. This was really too much. She didn't want to talk with this little girl. Not with Alcie so recently dead. "Listen. I know you're lonely and bored, but your fellow Fey just killed a person very important to me. I'm not really in the mood for this."
There. Be gentle with the little girl, but the last thing Muri wanted right now was to have girl time with a Moon Court Fey.

"I think I like horses too, from what I used to be told in books about them." Pteryx lied, but she was hardly going to say she loved the wolves more than any other beast from the real tales she'd been told... "And maybe I will have a horse of my own one day."
She stared at 'Mouse' letting the real shock take over her face. She hadn't been told this piece of news! ...No wonder why the woman was acting so strange. "Oh! No one told me that."
Pteryx inside scowled, she hadn't wanted to resort to this. But she wriggled closer, and ... with a lot of self control to not do harm... hugged the woman. "Poor Mouse, I was wondering why they were acting funny. I would be sad too if I lost someone important to me," Pteryx's voice went a bit quieter and hinted at the real loneliness she'd felt during the mirror to make it seem more real, "I will come back then later, maybe."
Standing, Pteryx did her 'blind girl' act till she was out of the cell, and then as soon as she was around the corner and out of sight of 'Mouse', she started to twitch, make faces and shake her limbs as if she was trying to get some invisible dust off herself.

Muris sighed in relief, squirming back so that she could rest against the wall. The girl was cute and all, but she was starting to learn that you couldn't trust Moon Court Fey. Even the ones who seemed unassuming.
Closing her eyes only brought back the wave of sadness. Alcie was gone. Whinny was still trapped here. Hopefully her fellow Fey would come rescue the little girl soon. There was not hope for herself, though. Her people would never find her locked here in the dungeon, and even if they did, they would most likely be caught just as she had been. She would prefer to be allowed to die here in this cell than to put the others in more danger.
Why had she even come here to begin with? Though the smell of horse and leather was starting to fade now that she had been away from work such a long period of time, the mouse still keenly felt her place in the world was back at the stable. She wasn't supposed to be here, not a prisoner. She wasn't a noble they would get ransom for. She was just a stablemouse. A lowly commoner with no business getting mingled in the affairs of the nobles.

Aranea padded back down into the cool of the dungeons, several flask and phials now on her person. Walking past the empty cells she was sure she could hear voices; had her fellow Fey come to view their poor guest? She wondered who had come down here. As she neared Muris's cell she saw Lupinus and smiled. But who was the higher voiced person? She hadnt seen anyone, but she hadnt exactly been paying attention to her surroundings. The cell door was open, and she looked the mouse-fey over. Oh the poor dear had been crying. How utterly delicious. The stupid Fey had believed the lie she had spun. A smirk touched her features. 'All alone in the dark...' she sighed. 'How are you finding our hospitality?' she mocked.

Lupinus stood a little apart as Pteryx spoke with the woman. He tried to appear impatient and uninterested while he listened to their conversation. It seemed to be going well. The woman had thankfully stopped crying all over the place, and Pteryx might be able to get some information out of her if they kept this going. Perhaps another visit or two with Pteryx alone would produce some results. And in between... they'd see what other fun things could be done with the equipment in the dungeons.
So, she'd been told the male who had come with her was dead, and the human child still captured. He'd expected that. It's what he would have said, he thought, smiling slightly. He'd almost laughed to hear he looked like one of her friends. As Pteryx left the cell, he turned to the mouse, his mind working on possibilities. She was vulnerable and knew it, and she seemed hopeless at this point. Building up her hope and then taking it away again... yes. That could be even more effective than physical pain.
"You don't expect to get out of here, do you?" he asked her quietly, as an idea came to him. "I do not have the authority to do that. But if I could get that human girl-child girl away and back to your people, what information could you give me in return?"
Hearing soft footsteps approaching, he backed away as if he did not want to be overheard as Aranea appeared in the doorway and spoke to the mous.

Aranea slowly placed her tools, phials, needles, darts and even a flask of water on a protruding stone ledge that jutted inside the cell. She held each one up in the dim light, not to see what it was herself - but to frighten the mouse-fey. And then, without waiting to hear the woman's reply, she stepped from the cell, moving towards Lupinus. The wait would not weigh easily on the Sun Court Fey, and the thought caused her to smile. 'Well...it has been a while since we last talked.' she looked at him, a hand tucking a strand of hair behind an ear. And it had been. Comparisons with Feles sprang unbidden into her mind; he was stronger looking to be sure, and she could imagine whiling away time with him privately. But could he incite other feelings within her? Well a dank dungeon probably wasnt the time to dwell. Her brows arched as she waited his reply.

Lupinus nodded agreement. "It has." He wondered idly what she'd been up to, and where Feles was. His gaze lowed and he looked at her side where she'd been wounded. "You're looking better. Did you stitch yourself up, or did you have some help?" Even with four arms, he didn't think she could have done it herself.
He looked at the phials with interest, pointing at the nearest one. "What does this one do?" It was almost too bad Pteryx was playing the sad little blind child.... she'd like to watch this, he thought.

She glanced over; 'Poisons..very slowly. Its made from snake venom. I should be working on something else. But this is a fun diversion.' she grinned, showing her white teeth. She touched her wound under the long silken dress she was wearing. 'Its healing. I didnt stitch it no. It wasnt - accessible for even me.' her eyes flickered over him again. 'Feles did it for me.'

Feles... Lupinus thought at the very least he'd be irritated by that, and hadn't been sure why he'd asked, but found he wasn't feeling envy at all. Well, perhaps just a little if he was honest with himself, but nothing like he'd expected. That was interesting. "I hope he did a good job," he said blandly. He glanced back in the direction of the prisoner. "She cries a lot. Do you think she'll last very long?"

'He's good with his hands,' she said simply. Let him read into that what he would! She wasnt searching for his approval in her relationships after all. 'She cries - she'll do a great deal more of that before the end.' She glanced at the female in the cage briefly. Truth was she wasnt sure what would happen after she had gotten what she wanted from her. A swift end; well thats what the Sun Court deserved. But maybe she could be of greater use. If she was sent back to their Castle in a terrible state then maybe it would serve as a warning. Counsel was needed from Majestrix Nox on that.

"Is he?" Lupinus raised an eyebrow and smirked slightly. How interesting. His tail twitched restlessly. He'd have to get out and go for a run soon as he'd planned before the child had shown up. He indicated the mouse fey and grinned. "Would you rather I left while you... work, or do you mind if I watch?" He would like to see how this would go.
