Vesale Zuka duel: LossWhen returning for a duel, is it ICly a week, or is it also OOCly a week? I see mention of a week in the posts up yonder and wanted to check. ((Hopefully this is okay to post!)) As long as the duel RP is completed (aka all rolls and all RP responses edited in) - which yours is - another one can be started straight away. If the RP was unfinished then you would have to wait a RL week before starting a new one. Sorry for the confusion. It's not clear in the information above so we'll make some changes so that it is.

Brief Personality Description: He's the (unknown) son of Tepe, the murderer from a few metaplots ago. He never met his father, but his rogue mother was infatuated with him, and constantly gushed about him to her only cub. He's developed a pretty serious (and flawed) idea of his father as a hero, and has left home to track him down and find him. He's a bit bold and upfront, not afraid to tell anyone he's the son of someone great. He has too much confidence to be insecure, but he does sometimes worry if he'll ever be able to live up to his dad's greatness. If only he knew...

Brief Personality Description: Rough, aggressive, arrogant. Adeyemi generally won't do anything that doesn't suit himself, and is more brawn than brain, but following his experience as a Nergui slave, he has softened a bit. He's a latent seer, having little conscious knowledge of his gift itself-- though he knows it's there.

Brief Personality Description: Clever, critical, temperamental. Adanna has much of the same selfishness as Adeyemi but sees much more value in looking out for others as well, which was nearly her downfall in the Nergui. She's smarter than her brother but has a worse temper. She proved the more stubborn of the two when Adeyemi had to mastermind their escape because she was starting to get too attached to the idea of the Nergui slaves sticking together. She is a seer with some minor command and understanding of her gift.
About both: Hongshan by birth, Adeyemi and Adanna fought in the war against the Nergui (and lost both parents and a sister in the fight) and were among those captured. They were also among the last Hongshan slaves to survive the Nergui, though not last to escape. They both believe in/acknowledge the gods but will be perfectly happy to get away from the belief that they should be given any thought, good or bad. They escaped the Nergui some time ago and have been slowly working their way to the Firekin, knowing that it's where their old pridemates went.
Random info~ Adeyemi stubbornly refused to learn any of the Nergui language during his long stay in the pride. He'd almost certainly recognize the sound of it but that's it. Adanna, however, became fluent.

Brief Personality Description: Initially subdued and quiet, Pele can be quite gentle and kind once she opens up to somebody - Very much the opposite of her initially-gruff mate. She hold a fear-born wariness about a certain bone-marked lion and his offspring, recognizing the family very easily by some of their marks for the relation they hold to the past she hates. While she holds tight to old Hongshan ideals, she's willing to accept the Firekin ways, as they are a stark contrast to what she'd known before. She is open and honest about the fact she struggles with any language not her native tongue.

She's willing to throw a few choice insults at Miah and his offspring as a result. She finds the Firekin ways strange after what she grew up accustomed to, but much easier to swallow.

Brief Personality Description: She was lost in the swamps during the great fire when she was a cub and found by an older brother. She was very close to him and has some attachment issues with her family and others, due to some feelings of abandonment. So when the mountain collapsed and the Jini-msemi disbanded for good... Well, she was a bit lost and wandering and desperate to find a new home. She is aware her father was a god and she has seer powers, but has never had a vision. To her, gods aren't anything mystical, they're just lions who happen to have some special abilities and a long life. If she met one she'd probably just yawn. Applying to be a hunter only felt natural to her.

Brief Personality Description: A large lioness, she's always lived her life around the desert and the rocks, but as her immediate family grew old and weak, and the younger relatives left to find better lands, Juba found herself alone in the desert. She's never been on her own, and finding such an old and large pride like the Firekin seemed like the safest, surest way to make sure she'd never be alone again. With her familiarity with desert terrain, she feels being a guard would be the best way to repay her new pride.
