Jeremiah's fingers slid across the screen, a reply already in mind. endejester i'll have to ask alg about the other book The pen in his hand was set down as he now drumming his fingers across the counter. THAT certainly got Zac's attention, that the princess had been known before he'd read about her. azuredreams How did you learn about the princess before I brought up the book??? - Screw proper quotation he was going full on teen-interest with this one. Jeremiah pressed his lips together, taking a breath before responding. endejester it's a story in heliodora's book. as for the princess, it's a story you hear around here. i'm not exactly fond of the heartbreak hill version of the story. It was also because Finn had talked about it with Algie, mentioned the princess himself, and the professor kept impeccable notes. Zac snorted, the immediate suspicion of Sunny that came to mind for both of them was humorous in a slightly bitter light. azuredreams Not S. So don't worry, and not H either! I don't mean to head to the Other town any time soon if I can help it! I'll ask around and see if we can get -safe- answers first, like HOUSE tours rather than deals ;-P He replied, a rapid string of words and a -somewhat- teasing emote. A slight roll of his eyes, the detective fired off another response. Quote: i've got a few reasons to think we need to shift focus around. some thoughts that i've had lately because of what happens. i have no trips planned at the moment. still on vacation. Jeremiah did not really use emojis but if he did there would have been a string of XP XP XP sent to Zac's phone. endejester i had no doubt that my detective son would be able to come up with a creative way to let me know which person. you'll have to give me the details about what you saw/felt later. If only because he knew that those memories usually came with feelings as well as things you saw.

Zac's nose crinkled at the textsPart of him understood not wanting to do talk things over the phone. But... azuredreams Could you give me a hint on why you think we need to re focus? I am about to head into a house that MIGHT be where Sunny Lives. It's not the beach and there will be -no- deals. But it might help me find something useful!

The first part, he was fine with, yes everything really had gone pear shaped. The second part made him scowl though. Perhaps it was a touch paranoid but he felt like it was a pre-done excuse for Jer to fraternize with Other' creatures and that Zac would be expected to be OK with that. He really ...was not. He was far too anxious about what he perceived as Jerimiah having signed his own death warrant. azuredreams Well, I have found a great deal already, even if we don't find more information on sunny in particular we can...or I WILL get us a better idea of the 'web' that she is if she's really as all encompassing as you think. With everything been quiet, no other shoe dropping, Jeremiah did not have any particular feeling when he heard the familiar sound of Zac's text tone on his phone His stomach dropped however when he read the text. endejester what about you? are you okay?the first text, jeremiah knowing that it had to be related to other ashdown. what happened to her?
he was going to have to get to the hospital.

Zac stared at the phone for a long time, his mouth felt dry and his stomach like a knot. Technically, he was fine, any bruises he might have were his own doing. Technically, he was fine. azuredreams I'm fine. Carried her back - Not sure what happened. Not family. No one has spoken to me. Jeremiah's stomach dropped, reading the text over and over again. His fingers shook a moment but then steadied. Zac was okay but Autumn was not ... endejester not sure what happened?a moment passed, another text appearing almost immediately. did you lose some part of your memory?there was another pause before the next one, a sickening feeling growing in his gut what did it want? did it try to force you to make a deal?

Zac stared blankly at the screen for a long moment. He'd meant 'he didn't know for sure what had happened.... to Autumn. But Jer had jumped right to... 'Did you loose a part of your memory' WHY? azuredreams I meant, I didn't know what it did to Autumn He sent back. He waited though, thinking, frowning, worrying his lip. No...that was, that was silly, he was just stressed, right? He'd gotten out but, his attention had been on Autumn and trying to be sure she wasn't -dead. Right?

Jeremiah's lips pressed together, better he misread and give away something than not know. Then a few moments later there was another text, if only because Jeremiah was having to find things to put together and get out the door.
