Preferences and objections in mind, Porsha smiled across at the taller girl again before dropping her gaze to the menu. It wasn't terribly long; there were soups and salads, sandwiches and wraps. The usual sort of things one would expect to see in a cafe like this one. Lips pursed, the fighter glanced out at the surrounding tables, scoping out what the folks around them were eating and what looked good.

She was placing the menu back where she'd gotten it as a server wandered over to them and introduced herself. Drink choices were requested, and Porsha ordered a water with lemon and a sprite, then waited for Jade to order as well.

Then, before their server could retreat to grab their drinks, she'd stop her with a smile. "We're actually ready to order, if that's alright." It was, so Porsha flashed a pleased grin up at the woman as she pulled out her notepad, pen poised over the page. "Can we get two Rubens with kettle chips?" Simple meals, but the meat was hand sliced, and the bread and chips were both made in house.

With a smile, the serve wandered off to fetch drinks, leaving the girls alone again. Hands folding on the table, Po shifted her foot beneath the table, tucking toes behind one of Jade's ankles to drag it a little closer.

Porsha, managing a look that managed to be both utterly sinful and innocent all at once, merely lowered her chin to rest in her upturned Palm, bright eyes anchored on her companion's lovely face. "Is that so?" Dark lips twitched up in an impish smile. "And why is that?"

And far from relenting, the fight pulled Jade's foot a few inches closer, leg shifting so their knees touched, skin to skin.

"Are you implying you're incapable of controlling yourself in public? Not that I mind, of course, if you wanted to drag me off to some secluded corner to ravish me." She could have been talking about sunshine and kittens for how level she managed to keep her tone. All matter-of-fact. "Would certainly make for an interesting shopping trip."

Porsha snorted softly, the top of her foot dragging up the back of Jade's ankle. "You know me better than that." Had she ever promoted good behavior beyond a certain level in their powered lives? Never.

The waitress was back with their food, and the fighter busied herself with pulling her water closer so she could take a long drink. When they were alone again, silver eyes flicked back up to Jade, almost challenging.

"I'm not likely to behave myself, so you do what you have to do, gorgeous." And if that involved dragging Porsha off to some dark corner, well, she was prepared to accept what she deserved.

Winking, she lifted a chip, crunching it loudly.

Porsha just smiled sweetly across the table as she continued to eat the chips one at a time. Giving no indication that she'd picked up on the causal slip of innuendo, at least not until the end, when silver eyes crinkled just a touch at the corners before lowering to her plate and the sandwich resting there.

"Mm, probably. I mean that is a pretty large meal, and who knows if you'll have room left." She waved a curled kettle chip at her companion sagely, though the soft rub of her toes along the back of Jade's ankle had picked up again.

If the day was going to be peppered with charged innuendo and flirtatious banter, then it was shaping up to be a wonderful afternoon. If there proved to be physical backing behind the sulacious threats, well, all the better. It wasn't as if they hadn't come close before, with as much time as Porsha spent in the other girl's bed, they just hadn't quite crossed that last fraying line.

"Well that is a good thing, because I wouldn't want you to miss out on dessert," Porsha provided reasonably, finally picking up half her sandwich so she could take a bite. It was as good as she'd been expecting, but in the last few minutes the banter between them had left the fighter as equally eager finish quickly.

Another bite, a chip, and a long drink of water before she'd respond to the question. "Agreed, though this rueben is fantastic." It came out as a purr, violet brows arching playfully.

"Are we still going shopping?" It seemed important to ask at this point. If Jade had other things in mind, and wasn't quite the exhibitionist Porsha could be, they could skip the shopping trip and just head back to one of the apartments.
