Caedus watched as she reached for a crystal; he did not draw it away from her, but he seemed to be questioning the action. Her words. Slowly he nodded. "Then, we are friends. I will look after you however I can. But…I hate to ask for help," he said, "But I need it. And I trust you. Opening the Portal took far more energy than I need to get home. I could have just fled. But I thought it would be wisest to make a sacrifice to earn trust. I suppose it did not work as well as I had planned. It would have worked much better if I could have held the portal open," he sighed. "…But you made it out all right. I am glad for that. I am glad the others did. And you took one of her leaders out, and you struck fear into her heart. Any leader would be afraid of an enemy as brave and valiant as you all were."

"We try, but most senshi seem to stick in groups. Knights too." Elpis shrugged, fingertips emaining on the crystal. She wanted to do something, anything - even if a little energy was all, it was more than a plant. And that helped. Besides, she trusted Caedus not to harm her if she took too long to donate and fell asleep, so she wasn't afraid. Instead, she tried to keep optimistic. Especially thinking on the people she kept organizing, it seemed. Different every time, but, somehow.... "And you're right. We did get out. That's positive. The portal closing couldn't be helped. We knew the risks going in. And we knew it was dangerous... Well, most of us. But those who didn't learned quickly, and again. We still got a good blow in. And you helped. That says a lot, Cadus. Believe me." She tapped her chin thoughtfully, closing her eyrs. "I know some senshi who might listen if I talk to them. Possibly knight or two... We'd see. But I'd want to bring them to meet you in person if they were to help." If they even agreed. She'd have to look into that...

Caedus breathed out a slow sigh, as if his worried were slowly easing from him as they spoke. They'd come back, of course, but for now the weigt had been lifted off of his shoulders. Tonight, he wouldn’t worry about what had happened, and who would come for his head, or where he was going to get energy or if he'd ever make it home. Tonight, he was in the company of a friend, and she was trying to help him. His gratitude exceeded words, and he nodded. "Would you like some crystals to take with you?" he asked. "I would trust you with them. I will be around, if there is anyone you would want me to meet. I have to keep moving. I do not wish to be found by those that would wish me harm, but I would keep my eyes open for you. Or anything that you would send. I trust you, and I would trust your allies, I think. I admit," he seemed tired once more, "It has been lonely since you all went through the portal. I fear the taste of companionship is addictive. I knew I missed it while I was in the Rift, but you were all so kind when I arrived. I missed this. Just…talking. It makes me feel… normal."

"You are normal." Elpis smiled, trying to repress a chuckle. "You're very normal, just from a different planet and culture, and that's not bad." The senshi continued to beam warmly, simply happy to be helpful, and nodded. "As for crystals, I can take some. My cousins paw things up at times enough they were helpful last time - I'm sure they won't notice again. I'll see what I can talk my father into as well. He's utterly rediculous but he might help. He's a knight." And she get a sneaking feeling her aura powered exceeded his - plus she could talk to Porrima, Cor Caroli - Hyakutake; whom knew who else? "I'd also be happy to drop in every night or so for company if you like. It's been quiet, and goodness knows why. I mean, it isn't like they took massive blows." Elpis was joking a bit, based on the chuckle, and she nodded happily. "Besides, you're good company. Anyone who disagrees can go eat a... Uh... You know what, I can't think of a tactful answer to that."

Caedus chanced a small, rocky laugh. "Ah, you are kind, but I was never normal. Not on this planet, and not on mine. But I do not think that is always such a bad thing. Not when you are having fun." He still seemed at peace, and like he was even enjoying the company and the conversation. "I will give you crystals," he said, but was not so quick to hand them over. Instead, he made sure he filled a small pouch with them and passed it over. "I do not want them to touch your skin unless you are giving energy. This should help you carry them, though. I must thank you, though. You can come as often as you like. I have been cautious with my company of late, but I have such a desire to talk. Or listen. The sounds of your planet are wonderful, but it is very lonely."

"I have heard normal is a setting on a washing machine. But to me you seem like anyone else! A person." Elpis laughed with him before the crystals emerged, placed into a pouch, and the senshi nodded, accepting them and the pouch carefully before nodding. "I'll be sure to protect them.. And to see what I can do about energy. You know, I dont mind visiting nightly if you like. It's nice having company." Company that wasn't grating. That she relaxed around, besides lower tier senshi or senshi she was directing. The kind of relaxing she did near her people - friends or family.

Another soft, rocky laugh fell from Caedus' mouth; this time it almost sounded like it could have been natural. He nodded and drew his makeshift cloak a little closer around himself. "If you would like to visit, I would like the company. I will try to be easy for you to find. I must keep moving," he said, apologetically, "But I will keep my eyes out for you if I know you are coming. Or any who you would vouch for." Caedus was not inherently against meeting new people, but he had a reputation, now—and it wasn't entirely good. He didn't want to leave himself open to attack should someone attempt such a thing.

Elpis beamed, nodding warmly. "I can try making myself find-able as well." The senshi offered. "So if you feel unsafe, you can find me. I'd be happy to help defend you." He was one of "her people" now after all, a friend and someone she trusted, despite the weird senshi's worry. It was still possible Caedus meant kindness too. Someone had to believe in him and she had no reason not to - especiually as his friend. Thus, her offer of protection was natural, at least to her. "As for people I can vouch for, I can introduce you to them, if you like, in person." Needlessly added mentally was also in case they panicked. She doubted they would, but...

"I would not mind company. It is sometimes easier to meet new people with someone to do the introductions. When I am home," he let himself dream that his world was alive and well, "I hope I can find a way to thank everyone properly. And you would not see me in rags." He seemed amused at the thought; he still seemed self conscious about his appearance, and in saying that tugged at the makeshift cloak he'd been using. It was a blanket, at best, and not anything special or particularly aesthetically pleasing. But it served its purpose. "Bring them, if you like," he encouraged. "If it is something that would interest them. The nights pass quicker when I have company. I will keep you in mind if I am met with trouble, but do not worry for me. I have lasted this long. A short while more, I think I can manage."

Elpis didn't mind his blanket, not really. But looks weren't as critical with her (usually), however, it mattered to him, and she could see that, and she smiled. "I'd like to see you feeling better in that respect as well." Elpis smiled, and rubbed his shoulder. "You don't need to worry so much with me. I like helping. As for introductions," Elpis motioned, and sighed, nodding. "Sometimes you need to find a friend to do that for you." Something she was lacking with others. Most legwork she did herself, but these days? These days it was getting easier, and she would not see Caedus suffer with loneliness as her earliest nights as a basic had been. He would not want for aid... He'd have someone to look out for him, something she still ached to give the basic senshi whom welcomed it, but slowlu seemed to slip through her fingers.

Caedus seemed to tense at her physical contact, and it was only because of the trust she had fostered in him that he didn't pull away. He struggled with it, but he seemed to have an endless supply of willpower. Though his face remained hidden, the shadow of a smile appeared beneath his hood. "I suppose that is good advice. And I think I must have been lucky to find a friend in you. I am unused to the concept, I admit. I am used to repaying my debts. I do not like to ask much from others. I like to carry my own weight, but I understand that I need help now. I hope that one day I will be able to return this favor."

Elpis smiled back with warmth, nodding gently and motioning. "Thet, we'll see." She understood wanting to repay a debt; to carry one's own weight. It was what she did at all times some days - others she could share, and those days settled easy, but not as easily as simply doing. She was learning too. "Guess we can learn from one anotherm then." Elpis smiled, nodding. "Try to learn how to get things to work out, for one, and go from there."

Caedus nodded slightly. "That is something I can agree with. I only hope that I do not run out of useful information before I have found a way to get home. If I outlive my usefulness here, I do not know what will become of me. But I appreciate your company and know I will not be alone for all of it. It is late, though. And probably dangerous to stay around me for too long. I should probably move soon." It was a reluctant truth; he did not like to keep moving, but it was a necessity. Now that he knew there were those out there that were eager to hurt him he couldn't risk anything.
