Sunny was silent. "It's determined by you," she said, finally. "No one is chosen. And Other Ashdown is a cage."
She leaned back into the couch. "You could've found that out on your own," she told Asiya. "I've told others."

Just as she expected: cryptic answers from a cryptic person.
"Fair enough," she responded, knowing fully well that she wouldn't get anything better out of Sunny. Asiya was sure that she could give direct answers if she wanted to, but the otherworldly individual didn't seem the type to do that. She probably left people with more questions than they had when they started, actually.
It was too bad. Now Asiya was out of both a painting that she worked very hard on, and she was out of questions. Oh, well. She could always make another deal next time, she reckoned. "That's all I got for now," she went on to say, glancing down to look at the cigarettes that Sunny liked. "Enjoy your cigs, and perhaps we'll meet up again sometime."

"Next time, just call," Sunny advised. She held up a hand by her face, thumb and pinky extended, and wiggled it back and forth. "I always answer the phone, unless I don't."
She vanished, taking the painting and cigarettes with her.
