"Well they did a shitty job." Wendy was leaning over to get a photo of the papers, still stuck against the damp pavement and some of them bearing squished foot prints of herself and any other pedestrians, "They are still everywhere."
She lined up another photo, this time to get her on-point shoe choice of the day with one of the fluttering flyers that had flipped. It rippled under the edge of the sole of her shoe and she snapped a photo, "#fogpocalypse2016 #yearofterror #itwalks #doesntrun #onlyinashdown #wwmiradio."
The woman glanced back up to cid as her phone dropped and he waggled her hand to be handed her own latte. "Alright I'm good. Let's go."
Wendy took a sip, "So," She nodded at Cid, "Give it. Theories."

"Mm, I may have swept up a few so that I could have some out here for decor and pushed them back into place once the police cleared out." Cid grinned, pale blue eyes glinting with mischief. He leaned briefly, up on his feet, to put his chin on her shoulder and watch as she worked her magic on the phone.
He listened to her, watched the tags flick across the screen before he was falling back onto his feet. "No, no ..." The carrier was jostled, her drink handled out. "Gotta make a few shirts to give out. You are a brilliant woman!" A moment later he was pulling out his keys to unlock the door and head inside. "Just a few, it won't take long, but something to give out."
More publicity, get something out there ... Not that the 4th wall needed it but he liked making the store's presence known. "I actually just updated the site," keepashdownspoopy was his baby, "with the latest thoughts. I mean, really ... I'm personally on board for eldritch horrors. That this is the first sign that HE WALKS AMONG US." Cthulhu was a personal favorite, it really was.
Made even more obvious by the giant Cthulhu statue in one of the shop corners.

"Are you ******** kidding me what are you even doing right now?" She was holding her phone up though, having launched snapchat, filming him going into the store and tagging it with crying laughing faces and commentary before she sent it.
"The screenprint crap takes forever to dry." Wendy sipped her drink but stayed outside the door. If she went in, she'd get lost in comic boxes.
"Besides it better not be Lovecraft stuff.. I'd look terrible as a deformed fish person." The DJ's phone was never really stashed away but she lowered it for the moment, "Besides I heard Borr gave them free breakfast this morning. What if we miss it cause you wanna make tshirts?"

The fog had faded but the weirdness still hung about like the humidity in the air. Enough weirdness that Rylan didn't feel too compelled to go home. In part it was some morbid curiosity about everything that was going on (he assumed it could only be bad news), and in part it was a sense of obligation he'd developed over the years. There were people gathered here, and in such inexplicable circumstances, Rylan wanted to be on hand in case anyone needed help. It was only fair. He noticed the glyph painted on the window around the same time Nasir went to investigate it, watched as he touched the drawing and came away with paint on his hand. Probably the humidity, he thought. Had to have something to do with it. Rylan snatched up one of the pieces of paper to examine the writing on it. "It's probably just a weird prank," he said, looking at Lina. That was the most logical answer.

Leaning into Tom the brunette grumbled a bit at his joke, not in the mood for wise-crackers but there was no way he was going to do anything but. Best friends since childhood they'd toyed with being more in high school which had fizzled out pretty quickly once hormones had gotten out of the way. Agreeing that they were better off friends than anything else they had a strong relationship and she considered him her bae. Rylan earned himself a grim smile for his use of sudden logic. "Considering the heart attack Wil gave me earlier that would be logical. Really nasty prank to play though." Hands rubbed at her forearms, trying to get rid of the goosebumps there. "And hell of a thing to pull off over the whole town in a fog..."

Cid took two steps in, paused as she mentioned Borr's and food. His stomach rumbled and he was biting at his lip a moment, looking honestly conflicted about whether or not he should continue on or just get the ******** out of his shop and on with it.
"Ughhhh, fine but I am making shirts later. #fogpocalypse2016 on the front, IT WALKS on the back. They'll be great." He was always a whirlwind of motion, lights in the shop flicked back off and him coming to lock the door up. Cid's phone was out and he was typing away at his phone (notes for later because there were TOO MANY thoughts in his head).
He side-eyed Wendy as he locked the door back up, taking a sip of his drink. "I'd just assume you'd be a sexy deformed fish person." Completely deadpan. Also shameless but he really did not care. "I mean, you know I blow up the less serious stuff." A hand was flicked through the air before he tilted his head so they could get a move on. "Honestly ... It's mostly about the other place." Totally had that spooky voice when he said it, speaking of the other ashdown that was talked about.

"I dunknow." He replied to Marcoa, forming two words into one as he squinted at the papers. "Weirdness that's what. Do we have a cult here that I don't know about yet? I gotta find them, that would be great to talk about on the radio at night!" A quick look at his phone let him know Wendy was on her way, doubtless with some interesting reason for this all, maybe with Cid in tow. Cid always had a good story and...well Wendy was his sister, she just rocked. He texted back Quote: //Hry up - 'it walks' u run. ;D// He gave a soft chuckle at the heart attack. "My guess is he pulled something like out of that shite movie by King?" He rubbed Lina's shoulder companionably. "Hey... did you meet Marcoa yet?! Marcoa this is Lina, she and I were a thing for a while, she's got the sibling to my cat Mr. President!"

Marcoa squinted as well before actually wandering out behind the other, trying to see his phone or something. What was going on? His head canted and then he blinked when his boyfriend shifted gears so suddenly. The teacher couldn't help but give a fond, exasperated smile and looked over at Lina when he was rather suddenly introduced. "O...Oh?" So he's introducing him to an ex. He looked Lina over and then shrugged. It was weird, but he supposed it was better than meeting the parents. "What's your cat's name then, Lina? Did you get them together?"

Wil, done smoking, mashed out the joint and stashed it somewhere inside of his coat, which of course made him smell a thousand times more pungent than he had previously. He nudged for Nasir to go back inside because it was pretty chilly out still and police seemed to be coming around and picking up the papers.
He certainly didn't like feeling groped when he picked it up.
Everyone's commentary on the events made the slinky young man shrug, "S'just weird the symbols in like... super nice paint. Like artist paint." He yawned, "Not exactly standard graffiti."Borr had turned up the volume on the TV where the news ticker was warning NOT to pick up the papers on the street. Wil was given a look.
"You all should probably be getting home soon-" The large man stretched, several bits of him popping aloud, "-maybe go on a buddy system?"
Dhan got a heavy hand on his shoulder, "Don't worry about the window today. It's been a long night."

endejester text to broomw cid was trying to make tshirts like right now wtf we want breakfast is there breakfast "The sexiest fish person," Wendy looked up from her phone and when Cid was next to her gave him a slap on the a**, "Obviously."
Wendy kicked the papers, even if she wasn't supposed to pick them up, she could still abuse them. They were on the ground after all. "Oooooh the other place. You know me, I believe it when I see it. C'mon.." Cid was given a sharp grin and she hooked a finger in his phone holster to pull him along, "I want brunch." still wandering outside for anyone not in the bar

"I hope it's a prank, anyway," Rylan said with a smile. That was really the only way he could think of to approach the situation. Otherwise, it would involve admitting that something supernatural was going on, and he wasn't inclined to think that way. "Whoever it was sure knows how to mess with us," he mused. "And isn't skimping, if it's fancy paint. Whatever this is must mean something to whoever's behind it."

Cid always jumped every time she would slap his a**, getting this playful affronted look on his face before he would wink. So. Damn. Shameless. "Is this the part where I proclaim you the only sexiest fish person for me?" he snickered, blue eyes glinting with mirth as he watched her kick at the paper.
"I haven't had breakfast yet so I'd take either." He had a habit of getting caught up in things. Especially with having to run coverage on the flyers all around time. keepashdownspoopy.net had blown up with more views than it had seen in months. Feet stumbled somewhat, mostly on purpose, as he was pulled along by his phone holster. "Well ... you know. If we keep going for walks around town we might just see it." Snicker. "That's assuming that whatever IT WALKS is doesn't get to us first. It's kind of interesting, I'll admit, the idea that there's some other place around here."anyone who might be on their way to darlene's! Nasir had no desire to deal with the police. More since one of their number had gone missing. They had been, if anything, even more vigilant in keeping an eye on the populace and he really, really did not want them messing with Wil. The shorter man fell into step next to Wil, looking to Borr when he spoke. "... Wil and I can take a few people home." At least a couple because since they lived together, they did not have to worry about going home alone. "Especially since I drove to work." He glanced over to Dhan. "Do you want a lift?" anyone who might want a ride (giggity)
