Benedict leaned into the scratches, very much one of those Mauvians that adored physical contact. It was all he could do to not crawl up into Caia's lap and allow the senshi to just spoil him with pets. But, sadly, there was a job still to do, and he would not allow himself to be distracted, which a full pet session would invariably do. "Nobody will know it is you, they will only see you as Caia, not your civilian identity," Benedict said with a slow nod of his head. "But it would be best to... leave the area if law enforcement were to arrive. You are faster and stronger than you were before, able to jump to places normal people cannot." At the mention of catfights Benedict gave a dismissive sniff. "None taken. It is important for you to find others like you, who have been fighting longer and might have skills they can impart with you. While in this form you should be able to feel their energy signatures if they are nearby. The same holds true for your enemies, they too have a signature that allows you to detect them while in this form." At the next question though, Benedict reached up and patted his paw lightly against the male's face, before dropping down to rub against him trying to comfort him a bit, before finally trying to climb into his lap. "I will not lie to you, you are now part of a very dangerous world," Benedict said, his tone soft. "I would like to tell you that you would not get hurt, but there is a good chance you could become injured - or killed - in this war." Benedict looked up at Caia for a moment. "But a worse fate than death awaits if you were to fall in the hands of the Negaverse, for they would corrupt you, and you would be forced to fight against those you once called friend." Shaking his head he sighed. "Better to die than be corrupted, if you were to ask me."

Caia listened intently, and though his brows were furrowed with confusion he seemed to be absorbing everything.
"…I gotta be honest, I kinda came from a dangerous world. This whole time, my brother and I were trying to get out. I mean—he definitely got farther than I did, and then dragged me with him, but…"
He contemplated for a moment, and then looked at the cat.
"I don't want to die. And people get shot or worse every day out there in the real world. So if I'm stronger now—if I'm better…if I can stop people from getting hurt, I mean…if I've got that power, I gotta use it? …If you've got power and don't use it…well then, you might as well be helping the bad guys. I mean. My brother says if you can stop something from happening, you should. Well, no. He says he should, but that he's gotta protect me. Big brothers though, you know?"
He scoffed, but it was affectionately.
"…I could do that. I could try to be the good guy. And stop bad things from happening. Even if it sounds scary. If there are people that can help, then…the least I can do is try. How do I find them? —Oh, and you? If I need help?"

Benedict's ears flicked for a moment as the young man spoke and with a nod, the cat hopped down again and moved back in front of Caia proper. Raising a paw, he motioned at the phone, and then to Caia. "With that, you will be able to contact other senshi you meet. Finding them is easy. If you reach out with your mind, feel around you, you should be able to sense the energy signatures of both your allies and your enemies. The Negaverse, and other agents of Chaos, have very distinct auras, as do your fellow senshi and your allies, the knights." Benedict thought for a moment, head tilting to the side. "As far as getting in touch with me, well..." Benedict thought about that for a moment. "I am currently boarding at a nearby theater, they are hosting a ballet troupe there, I am... as you say... something of a mascot." In other words they fed him and didn't run him off because they thought he was cute. "I would be easiest to find there."

Caia's brows were knit but he nodded as understanding slowly washed over him. He was repeating what Benedict said to him, trying to cement it into his brain. "Okay," he said finally, and smiled at the cat. "I'll probably have to hit you up for that, then. After I let all of this, uh, sink in a little bit. I'm gonna trust you, because you seem to know what you're talking about. And…"
He hesitated and shifted positions. "…I'll try my hardest, really. I should…I should be getting on, now. My brother starts to worry if he doesn't hear from me in so long. Uh—but I don't think I can go see him looking like this. Do I need to find a phone booth and find some clothes to change into, or…?" he asked, almost seeming a little helpless as he tugged on the hem of his shirt.

Benedict nodded, quite pleased to hear that Caia would be willing to do his hardest, that was really what he liked to hear. The problem of course would be seeing that in action, but there was time for that later. Instead, the cat simply flicked his tail and sat down in front of the young man again. "Focus on your other form, the other you, and simply release your grip on the power that is inside of you, you should power down then." He said with a small nod. "Then you should be as you were when we first met."

Caia drew in a breath, squeezed his eyes shut, and seemed to slowly relax. Within a moment, he'd shed the guise of Caia and was nice, plain old Myles again. He cracked one eye and glanced down, expecting the worst, but exhaled in relief.
"Jeez, this drains you! I don't know how you manage to do it so well." He couldn't help it; he reached out a hand and gave the cat a quick scratch behind the ears. "Thanks, Benedict. I'm not totally sure what you've gotten me into, but I feel…I don't know."
Maybe the fresh air was just clearing his head after all those chemical smells he'd accidentally ingested earlier, but he felt better. Admittedly, like he was ready to go digest all of this information, but there was a spark of something in him.
He felt alive—and like he had something to be proud of.

Benedict nodded slowly, but not before leaning into the hand that scratched him behind the ears - priorities after all. "You will do well, have faith, torvarishch, and you will go far. Find others like you, and you will be unstoppable!" His tail flicked slowly as he moved to the side of the path sitting down. "Best of luck!" He would wait for the young man to leave, then follow at a safe distance.... to ensure he made it home alright.

Myles smiled once more and once Benedict moved away, he forced himself to stand up. He wasn't sure he wanted to go, but he wasn't going to be much use in a conversation if he was stumbling over his words and just laying there staring up at the sky. He could do that anywhere, and come back to Benedict when he'd sorted through everything.
"Thank you, I'm going to need it! Have a good night!" he said; he offered the cat a wave before he turned to head back in the direction of his home.
And process.
And probably freak out again.
And then have some Lucky Charms and repeat the cycle.
