"Good question." Nadiya smiled up towards the alkidike, "We need something to float on..." That stated the girl darted away to go looking. No, no, no, maybe that one? Nah, what about this one? They were near a logging village so surely....aha. Despite being tiny the girl managed to get a good few kicks into a log that was lying around. It was half-buried by reeds and grass, but eventually she managed to kick it once more. It was huge and she was flushed by the time she managed to roll it, but it was perfect.
A huge log, hollowed out by time and that had been cut in half by something was on its side now in front of her, "Mnyiri?" Nadiya called out after catching her breath, "Can you help move this to the water?" While she waited so took a moment to sit down and rest. Whew.

Something to float on? What in the world did the little water gal have up her sleeves? Mnyiri watched her for a while, curiously bouncing on the balls of her feet to see what Nadiya was up to before reason burrowed it's way into her brain. To float meant they were be getting wet, and Mnyiri wasn't about to ruin a pair of good boots on this!
So, using Mvua as a prop, she started to slip out of them. She set first one boot, then it's sibling next to the radaku, and after a moment she started taking off her jewelry as well. All except for the piercings were tossed down into the safety of her left boot lest they be lost to the water. Mnyiri was just straightening up when Nadiya came huffing and puffing back over to her. "Of course! You should have gotten me sooner." Mnyiri moved closer to her, oddly silent without her bells and accessories.
The alkidike lowered herself into a crouch, dug her fingers under the lower side of the log and lifted until it was half off the ground. Then she started to drag / scuttle backwards, looking over her shoulder to the water. When she was close enough she dipped one end into the water, but held tight to the other.

"Well I wanted to surprise you." Nadiya still flushed from the effort noticed how the alkidike had taken off a lot of her accessories. Smiling faintly Nadiya sat down to the same, but had to take a moment to stare at her friend. "Amazing." The word slipped out as a sigh almost and Nadiya had to quickly go back pulling off her own boots and accessories. Bundling them up in her scarf the girl glanced towards Mvua, "Do you think he could follow us? Just in case it might take a while to walk back here...may be easier to see if we can just have him carry everything with him."
Full of hope the Matori glanced towards Mvua with bright eyes, "I'll get you the best treat for your effort, Mvua."
Her belongings bundled up the girl made to place them in her satchel that she offered towards the radaku. If he could take them then she could use the rope that she had kept out of her belongings for the next part, "We're almost ready~" She was a bundle of excitement. While they couldn't surf on the waves here or float in the tides the rapids were promising. She had done this once with her brother a long time ago by the waterfalls of Matori and had remembered the fun from then. Childish or not the petite girl was definitely eager for this!

Mvua looked around as if he were trying to be anywhere but there. "I'm sure he could. Big lout was probably going to nap, but he could use the exercise." Agitated golden eyes met flat, black, and his was the first to break away. Mnyiri just grinned at her surly boy. He really could be a pain when he wanted to be, but she knew it was just a front.
At the mention of a treat he stepped forward, tail swaying behind him. He slipped his head through the satchel straps, same with his left foreleg so that he practically wore the bag. When it was on him properly he crouched down to snag Mnyiri's boots in his maw.
The alkidike couldn't help laughing at her companion. He looked as if he'd taken a run through some poor girl's room and come out with an entire trunk full of goodies on his back. The radaku passed her a quick, warning glare and she turned her smirk to the water instead.
"Okay, are we all ready to go...wherever it is we're going?"

"Thank you, Mvua!" Nadiya winked towards the beast, "I'll make certain to get you the best when we go back to town~" The sight of him bundled up like this also did make the girl almost giggle, but she raised a hand to cover her mouth. Turning, she glanced back towards the log, "Just one more thing..." Taking the rope in her hands the girl darted around, splashing some water with her bare feet, and looped the rope securely along the log. It wouldn't tie them in but left them with something to hold onto in case of emergency.
"We're going where the river takes us, isn't that part of the excitement?" Nadiya beamed playfully up towards Mnyiri, "We'll try to hit the shore nearby, but I really don't even know much about where the river flows." She gestured to the log, "Now we just need to get in and push off. The waters will carry us after that."
As she slipped past Mnyiri, Nadiya placed a leg outside of the homemade raft into the cool waters. It would work to hold them in place for the brief moment when Mnyiri let go, "I've got us. Just quickly slide in!" She patted the space next to her. She hoped Mnyiri didn't mind being close to her!

"So we're just going with the flow?" Mnyiri laughed, looking none too concerned as she watched Nadiya work. It wouldn't be the first time she'd gone head first into the unknown, and likely not the last!
She looked to Mvua one last time, just to make sure the radaku hadn't wandered off, before turning back to the raft. The alk hiked first one leg up, then the other before sitting fully atop the wood. It dipped further into the water under her weight, and for a moment she thought it wouldn't hold. Thankfully it managed to prove her wrong.
"Well come on then, let's get going." She settled her hips into the confined space, and looked up to Nadiya with a smile.

Nadiya giggled, "I suppose you can say that!" As bad as the pun was it was true - the waters would determine their course. It was exciting to find a new river to follow. Before all the paths led to the ocean, but who knew with these places? Jauhar was definitely not Matori after all! It definitely would make for a good tale~
Wincing as the tide tugged their boat along, Nadiya forced her foot into the soft earth as Mnyiri climbed aboard. "Ready? Then let's go!" Beaming back towards her companion the Matori pulled her leg in and let out a laugh of glee as the waters swirled around their makeshift raft and began to carry them down river. "Just hold on tight and roll with it, okay?" She gave the simple instruction as their raft began to pick up speed. For now it would be fun gliding along the waters, but shortly enough even that would turn into small rapids as the waters began to foam as they started descending downhill with a splash.

Regardless of whether she was actually ready or not, the adventure had begun! Mnyiri held onto the sides of their 'raft' to steady herself, nodding with a wide grin as she was told to hold on. Not like she wouldn't have; with as much speed as this thing was picking up it was either that or fall off!
"Do you do this often?" Mnyiri called, raising her voice was the water underneath them began to get choppy and loud. It crashed up against the rocks, sending some sprays back at the alk. It was a welcome relief to her skin after putting up with the heat all day. When they went further downhill, picking up more and more speed, Mnyiri became excited. She gave out a few sharp cries, then laughed when the raft seemed to hit against something or when they took a sudden dip. "This is awesome!"

Holding on tightly, Nadiya let out a laugh of glee as they spun through the waters. "We used to!" She replied with a yell, "My brother and I back in Matori! The waters there are even more alive than these!" And then they would always find their way back to the ocean...Nadiya smiled at the memories before letting out a little squeak as cold water splashed from the rapids and into their faces.
Glad that her friend was having fun, Nadiya began to lean in with their 'raft' as the rapids bounced them along. It definitely was a memorable day for certain! Laughing Nadiya hung onto both the raft and Mnyiri as they spun and crashed through the rapids.
Later they probably would find themselves exhausted, but at least it had been exciting!

Mnyiri decided right then and there that her next destination would be Matori! She needed to see these waters for herself with a passion that border lined madness. Maybe she could convince Ilyra to go with her? Her sister needed a break after all the strife in her life, and having some sand between her toes would be just the thing!
She barely caught sight of Mvua on the shore line, bounding through shrubs, and racing along side them. No doubt he would be as grumpy as ever once their raft stopped...but Mnyiri found she didn't care. The radaku needed to let loose too. Oh, but if only this day could last forever! She knew that it would end sooner rather than later but for right now, Mnyiri was just content to go with the flow.
