Algie frowned himself (it was contagious) though he rubbed his fingers together as if he were expecting something sticky from Aleksy's reaction. Still nothing.

The explanation didn't harbor much hope right off the bat. Algie wasn't big on self confidence.. but he did want a thing. He wanted to help, badly enough that he'd already broken out of his comfort zone several times more than he'd normally count as acceptable.

"Tell me what to do. Or a suggestion.. to develop this power." Whatever it was. "I have to help."

He stupidly, even with children missing, could only think of Zac and Jeremiah.

"Noted." Algie snorted, as if that was a given, "Though I realized the right offer doesn't cost me too much. I got away with your names with just a set of my own books."

Coffee power? He couldn't mind that for tea. Was a tea power an option?

"This still doesn't help me. Doesn't help... those kids. Or Jeremiah and Zac." Algie rubbed his face and his stubble scratched audibly under his broad hand, "I've got snatches of things, articles, things Sunny said.. But I can't put them together."

He flung out a hand, "Suggestions? With the rate of the disappearances increasing- and the fog- I'm not sure there's a lot of time!" Algie just assumed that most people would want to help.

Algie didn't appreciate being spoken to like he was a slow learner. His expression was deadpan and he finally reached forward to snatch Jeremiah's keys back. They were pocketed.

"I've got a wikipedia page. I'm not concerned about her learning my secrets.." Not when anyone with the internet could just google him back several years to literary magazine or trashy tabloid blurbs. Honestly no one would have cared if they hadn't made that tv series...

"SO that's what you are going to do then? Sit and wait? Like it will just blow over?" Algie shook his head, "I suppose I'll be looking for help elsewhere then."

Not from someone who's rule of action was inaction.

Though the likelihood he get anything done now, he checked his watch before glancing out at the fog, it may be a task better left for tomorrow.
