Mara's frown deepen as listened, the access levels that was something she had quickly skimmed and now regretted it. A flicker of feathers flashed across her field of view as Tri extended his lower wing and gently rested it against the child's back.
She looked up at him and raised a brow when he just looked back at her calmly as if his body language wasn't making a statement with everyone behind her. Shaking her head she crouched down until she was near eye level with Hexxis. " You are a meta. You are not a specimen now, not while you are with me." Lovely, now she had to teach her how to be "human" instead of a machine. She wasn't even quite sure if that was better than what she had been expecting.. which was someone mentally broken. A double edge sword for sure, because who knows if feeling would release her Malice as well? " Now I will be a hypocrite and say we will need to rerun a few of the test that had been done to you in the other place... but in the meanwhile I want you to think on something. Do you want Hexxis to be your name? or do you want to change it? While you are here it will be your name, not a code name. And if you are sure you want to keep that then I want you to think of a last name " Tri only glanced at her quizzically but said nothing, Mara had given him that choice as well instead of letting him take her last name Gold. He remember one of his parent's names... their last name and modified it. Yet giving her the choice now.. he wasn't sure if it bothered her or if she was already taking steps in trying to gain Hexxis's trust.

xHexxis felt Tri's wing against her back once more, a feeling that felt inviting and warm. She kept her attention on Mara as she then crouched down to her level. She wanted to step back in hesitation over the situation, but continued to stand there within her composure, her hand moving to grab onto Tri's coat again. Her eyes were fixated emotionlessly on Mara as she explained the situation with her. Hexxis nodded in understanding that she would just accept the new label for herself. She committed to memory that she was only a Meta, and not a specimen while she was with her. Though, Hexxis still held tight to the idea that she was still an experiment, a means to research more about metas and their powers. Hexxis was about to confirm her compliance with the requested tests, Mara asked her a question. One she'd apparently need to think on. Her name. Was her name not sufficient, or was it too long? She already had processed an answer, but noted that Mara had requested she think on it, so Hexxis elected to withhold her answer for the time being. "Understood." she responded softly, her eye never changing. She seemed to pause then blinked and turned her head to look at Tri, still holding onto him gently.

Mara nodded and stood up. "Good. I feel you later then Hexxis " she said glancing back at the other three researches then Tri, knowing he would want to be briefed but also not wanting him to leave her alone. Not so much for Hexxis protection but for the protection of her employees. "Tri, stay with Hexxis a while long. Help them in what they need" he said motioning to the researcher before turning away and leaving, happy in a way that the detour she had them take at least bore a little fruit. Tri looked after Mara and sigh softly before looking down, this time feeling the child's hands on his coat. "Ready?" he asked quietly and lead her down the hall.

xHexxis nodded at Mara slowly then looked back at Tri again as he was asked to stay with her. The idea that he would stay gave her slight comfort in this strange new setting. He asked if she was ready and Hexxis nodded once more and released her hand from his coat, beginning to follow him closely once more, her eyes fixated on the ground as they walked with the other researchers.
