He slid in and let himself lay on the cave floor, looking up at the dark cave walls with long, dragged claw marks torn at the ceiling.
He wanted to go back. He wanted to go back to before the note. Before Harrison showed up.
It was such a stupid thing to think, to beg for ignorance and to shove off responsibility, and he took it back.
Knowing meant he could help Jan. Knowing more meant he had been given a warning now and could work to fix everything. To find where he would be most useful to Jan. Find out what was needed.
But his insides felt like broken shards of glass, and the cold waters of the islands only made his heart feel like a sack of stones.
He hated this damn place, but the only person he wanted to de-stress with was off with someone else.
STONES: 77

Swimming back: Safe
He dragged himself out of the cave, shouldering the stones. His tank was on empty and he took the last faint breathes before he pushed himself up into the expanse of ocean as he worked his way up. Slowly. Watching light splash over shards of ice from the recent chill.
On the surface, he followed the layers of ice before he went towards the shore and pressed in, pushing back the crust of ice before he pushed through them, falling over and slipping before he feel into the snow and breathed out.
Popping open his helmet and taking off his back, he took deep breathes.
He'd go to the greenhouse if no one responded to his Tweet. Stay there for the night. He hated that empty bed. It had been more a companion to him as of late and it did not hold his interest.
