“I don’t understand it much myself and I’ve been here for many years. We didn’t have such a system back in Sauti either.” Thinking about it now, only the Oban’s had such a thing going, but they’d also been quite persistent in staying away from foreigners, maybe it was to keep their system intact?

“Hein, more like a Yaeli out of place.” Aseara shook her head; she was sure Itotia was willing to learn and was very good at dancing. There was no issue there. The problem was that she hated mainlanders and anything that had to do with them. Aseara sighed softly, she couldn’t really blame her.

“That’s a good system, here you are known to be good at what you do if you bringing the most money and clients.” It was like two different worlds. Aseara would have no trouble being in either worlds, but she knew some had clients who lacked the skill. They were simply picked because they spoke nicely to the client or they liked how they looked.

“Alright well sit down; I’ve got plenty to tell.” And so Sabri went at it, showing works on paper and the things she had learned from living in Oba. Aseara let them be; perfectly content in listening to everything and watching them interact. Sabri even took out her instrument to show Senja techniques and such. It was pretty interesting to watch them interact. After an hour or so though, Aseara had to stop the exchange.

“If you want to meet some dancers we’d have to go now.” She didn’t want to interrupt, but it was Senja’s choice. Afsana wouldn’t’ want her around when the clients started coming in and the sun was starting it’s descent in the skies.

"Different cultures I guess.. Oba likes larger cities more it seems to me." Of course she herself came from the largest Shifter city so not like she could talk!

"Yeal.... I do want to go visit them for their music but the land is too strange and dangerous right now to risk it..." She sighed and patted her stomach... maybe one day a Yealian would come within chatting range.

Senja listened intently and did her best to memorize it.. knowing full well she'd be up all night copying it all down. She did have a notebook where she took some notes on the more difficult stuff; but mostly she relied upon her memory which had been honed from years of memorizing long musical pieces.

She was quite disappointed to leave...

"Hopefully I can sneak in to visit again some time!" She sighed. "So much music to learn! I want it all!" She laughed and thanked Sabri before following Aseara out. "I do so loved professionals." She remarked. "So much easier to work with than emotional youngsters!"

“Yea I’ve noticed that too, back in Sauti we also didn’t have this kind of thing.” Or structure where people lived onto of each other and were compacted so closely together it was a wonder who they even lived.

“We have a Yaeli dancer here, but she doesn’t like mainlanders very much so she probably wouldn’t want to speak or share with you her knowledge.” It also wouldn’t do their relationship any good if she forced her to speak with Senja.

“It was nice seeing you Sabri,” Aseara waved the musician goodbye before heading up one more level. “Yea, discipline reins here, there’s no fooling around.”

As they got to the third floor and Aseara was about to open the door, she paused and put her ear to it. “Uh oh,” she could clearly hear Afsana’s voice booming and yelling at someone. She was not in a good mood. “I hate to rush you out Senja, but Afsana’s here and she’s coming our way and isn’t happy at all.” Aseara began going down the stairs again in a hurried pace. They needed to get bac to the main hall again. Just as they were reaching the ground floor, the upper floor door slammed open and Afsana’s voice was heard yelling once more.

“Quickly,” Aseara hurried into the main entrance of the Red.

made a random street up!

"There's a yealian here?" Senja stopped and eyes twinkled: "Oh please say I can meet her! ... Though if she's un comfortable.. " Senja sighed. "Why would she be here if she's uncomfortable? She's dancing for them right?" So close yet so far! Denied her yealian music!

"Oh dear.." Senja sighed. "Well that will cut this visit off! If you want to visit me, I am staying at the Purple Perzi inn on fifth street"

Senja hopped over to a window and looked out. "Tis not far, I've jumped longer drops from trees!" She giggled and waved goodbye to Aseara, "Hope to see you again soon! I enjoyed meeting you!" She hopped down, paused to settle her clothes and grin cheekily at some startled obans before sauntering down off the street. Today had been a productive day!

“Maybe at another time, but you’re more than welcomed to come back,” Aseara paused. “Come back after the great dance we’re having, things will be different.” She didn’t want to say anymore and wouldn’t answer any questions if asked. “You’ve been wonderful Senja I do hope we can see each other again!” And with that she waved the Shifter off and sighed softly. She wished she could have spent more time with the older girl; they seemed to have gotten along quite well. Hopefully Senja would come back to visit when she was in charge, Aseara definitely planned on going to see her.
