As the sun peeked inward letting warmth into the cave Feena stepped out letting the sand swallow around her tiny hooves. Feeling a twinge of pain she winched knowing this very day if she was dependent to leave this isle she'd be stranded. Her ribs ached heavily from the previous night screaming something had made contact with the lithe flutter. Looking around the area she noticed her mate, the royal blood Iset, her owl, and the mer named Amarintine all conversing around a huge shell they were fixing a thick seaweed to for transport.
"Am I late for the going away party?" she queried with a small laugh and she looked at everyone with thankful eyes. Never in a million years would she believe her mate carried her in from the rain and yet deep down Feena knew the complete truth. Yuuri a soul trapped from another land accepted her as part of his heart. Therefore, in a heartbeat he'd walk on water if it meant keeping her alive.
"Ah you are awake" came a thick voice of desert tongue, "I've heard many a tale about a special mare that became one with her stallion's heart. I see fully his truth and it glimmers in your eyes as one should expect". Iset was intrigued in the size difference of the thick furred Yuuri to her petite size with wings like an insect of beauty. In some aspects Iset nodded in respect to the flutter even resembling a fairy that had leaves for wings. They were indeed fragile yet they could carry a mare along the current as a winged or Angeni could flap their wings to the skies. Noticing the bruised side she frowned, "In all his efforts your mate kept you well and dry but your injury did not do so well. I assume your flying will be halted more so than usual?"
Yuuri stepped over beside Feena his muzzle gently touching her bruised side which caused her to wince more, "Amarintine I think this shell was a perfect idea. I'm forever in your debt for keeping her safe as best you could". His eyes flickered a momentary tear away as he remained strong.
"It's the best I could do on such a rocky situation everyone. This shell has a coating of pumice so it will float nicely upon the waves. I suggest you all go gather some fruits and such for the trip. This cove is protected to the outer island I'll be guiding you to. But you all may need a snack on the way". The mer looked at everyone her tail swaying within the waves and they rocked back and forth.
"I have provided things for you all" returned the thick accent of the owl, "Remember I surveyed the island while you all slept. The mer has fate in her hooves right now leading us to safety. I suggest haste comes with essence for their canines are awake inching closer. Ruffling her feathers she outstretched her wings gliding downward to a tree. Looking from one Soquili to the other she spoke again, "Yuuri. You are the strongest with scars to tell stories. I do not wish Iset any markings before her fate crosses our paths". Closing one eye she looked at him then to Feena as she retrieved a satchel full of fruits and water".
"Where did you find that? the royal desert s mare looked perplexed.
"Only know you will need these provisions especially the medicines for Feena" she nodded dropping the bag in front of Yuuri, "Besides those thieves will not miss what they do not realize is gone".
Yuuri looked at Irisi, "Ah ha yes I'm sure they won't. Well then we should be on our way" he motioned to his mate, "Feena would you mind getting comfortable in the shell please? I'll get the bag. Everyone ready?"
Feena had never floated before only glided over thick bodies of water that would drown her in an instant, "You sure it will float?" she asked with a nervous flick of her ears.
Irisi shook her feathers then flew toward the shell landing smoothly on top with the seaweed in her beak, "Amarintine. Shall we show her there's nothing to fear?" Looking at the mer she almost smiled yet her body seemed tense.
The mer smiled grasping the seaweed in her mouth slowly yanking it out to the ocean. The shell dipped for a moment then sat upright with the golden owl bobbing along the surface of the water. Turning her head nearly backwards she looked at Feena, "Fate carries us to different situations leaving us open to ponder the next day. I assure you this vessel is perfectly safe." Ruffling her feathers she held out a clawed talon opening in as an invitation to the uneasy flutter mare.
Feena stepped forward still watching her mate her face showed a bit of disappointment, "I really wanted this to be a low key adventure. Instead it's hyped up further then I could ever imagine". Taking a step forward she stepped into the surf washing around her hooves. Gently she crawled on the shell feeling the rocking motion, "Here goes nothing" she spoke with a small laugh that rattled a bit. Once her legs were folded beneath her she looked back at Yuuri with a nod.
Yuuri stepped forward looking at Amarintine, "It's all you now. Please keep her safe" he murmured placing the bag on the shell beside his mate. Nuzzling her he spoke one last time, "All three of us will fly around you so no need to be scared love of my life".
Iset nodded to Irisi waiting for the shell to drift off before they headed off into the sky keeping rhythm above the flutter mare within the huge shell. They noted Yuuri had already climbed into the air yet his stride was close to where Feena lied quietly.
Finally, Amarintine watched the other take flight cuing her to grasp the seaweed and begin their next journey. Diving in the water she returned quickly holding a beautiful gem in her mouth which she placed on the shell near Feena, "We'll be there soon. Rest if you'd like we'll watch over you". Flipping her tail she grasped the seaweed rope then swam over the gentle waves with her precious cargo. turning her head to look back she noted Feena was drifting off to sleep again. If only this had been a nightmare rather than reality that had caused someone harm. Focusing she headed out into the deeper blue while the others flew close overhead. What a set of days this had turned into leading her to a grand adventure and trusted souls she could call friends.
Off in the distance the mer picked up sounds of baying hounds as they reached the cliffside. The two-legged foreigners made callous sounds as if they were screaming in defeat losing their prized bloodline to the islands' memories. They were safe now traveling within the ocean of blue protected by the rocks no vessel could ever penetrate through. This is why the mer an adventurer of heart called her place of home within the divide that laid safe from the travelers and thieves with no business to be there.

Traveling endlessly through the secluded divide the mer carried her precious cargo upon the shell she pulled along with her. The sounds of gunshots and baying hounds faded seemingly away as the call of distant gulls carried to her ears. This domain was hidden within the islands a perfect paradise unknown to man himself. The rocks from the outer reaches of paradise island became more jagged and hard to tread through. Occasionally as she moved onward leaving her tail to propel them further out she'd notice the stallion, the mare, and of course the owl never skipping a wing beat in keeping up with her endless swimming as night settled in again. Normally she'd make a day trip between the divides but a sleeping tiny mare kept her senses on track moving idly not to tip the shell into the ocean. Remaining time with her new companions prompted thoughts of lingering days till the flutter mare was able to breathe without sharp pains within her sides or a splitting headache knocking upon her temples on the side of her head.
Amarintine noted how the tiny mare had fallen into a deep sleep only to awaken with an abrupt scream or gasp of breath. This sanctuary they traveled to held many things firstly herbs needed for fast healing of bruised flesh and bone. A paradise indeed the mers called it swimming up into the lagoon that overlooked the entire island secluded from outsiders. From first glance others would merely call it a mountainous rock for no being could see within its walls. From the vantage point of the lagoon traveling beneath the falls one would enter the ecosystem untouched by anyone but the mers and sea dwellers. Occasionally there dwelled many familiars such as dolphins, lobsters, otters, and even gators should they travel this far out. A simple yet complex paradise made for the inhabitants of this set of isles.
Once when Feena had awoken abruptly the mer smiled, "Morning sunshine. Almost sunset but it's still morning for you. I hope that the trip hasn't been too full of wavy dips or unsettling belly grumbles. The water will do that to you".
Feena looked around her eyes heavy with sleep yet curious where they were currently, "How much further?" she asked with a soft voice.
Amarintine smiled, "I'm moving a bit more slowly so you don't get jostled around back there. The tides never reach this point but the water will become a tad choppy in a few hours. By morning rise we will be at the waterfall which enters within the lagoon. The stars are already starting to shine. Feel free to watch them if your nerves become unhinged. I promise you your sleep will much more pleasant".
Feena listened to the mer wondering about this massive beautiful island they'd be safe within. Paradise island had been her favorite leaving them to fight off adversaries escaping into the night. Yuuri seemed to be keeping in sync with the others hovering not too high above her. She smiled softly feeling his protective nature shine through. Now she craned her head upward looking upon the glittering canvas blackening with the soft glow of the moon to illuminate their journey. There high above lingered the brightest star the one her mother taught her about. Inturn her own foals she taught about the shimmering star that watched over everyone. Like a great protector you could feel safe knowing in sight of that star you were never too far from home. Closing her eyes she smiled then rested her head against her forelegs again drifting off into a deep sleep.
"Rest Feena... the star will watch over us" the mer thought to herself as she felt the glow upon her smooth fur. Even though several species that particular star had always been a guardian, a beacon of hope when you felt lost and afraid. Whenever you glimpsed that shining spirit you were always closest to home. Feeling the water grow a little more choppy she moved slower letting the subtle tide pull her along giving her muscles time to rest as she rocked her way toward High Rock Hidden Island.

The journey seemed endless following the spirited mer down through the natural arrangement of rocks. Day settled into night leaving the lithe royal-blooded mare alone with her thoughts.
"Aty what do you see in your future?" came the voice of a child lost to the hands of the unknown.
Though her wings grew tired she's never openly admit it pushing onward as the rocking waves sung her a lullaby. Her companion wide awake glided alongside them with minimal effort. There had been a few instances both Yuuri and herself would perch for a few minutes upon the flatter rocks forming miniature islands catching their breath. Never straying too far from their precious cargo they escorted they would capture more strength and willpower before rejoining the small herd formed out of choice. Now she desired water but interestingly enough she could go on for days without it. Living in the old world derived of heat and sand it was the first measure the foals learned in their ranks or perished within the strong waves of heat consuming them. Much like a camel without the storage hump they taught their growing figures to conserve using only what they needed. Of course Irisi had gathered containers of water she made rounds to the others with letting them drink their best to run off dehydration. Even the mer she brought water to along with feena in a makeshift bowl Yuuri and her brought along for the trip.
"But, if something were to happen to me" she responded standing closer to the young prince, "Would you still carry on with my memories within your solemn thoughts"?
Irisi seemed to be fading in and out of consciousness as she drifted backwards to the days not even written in prophecy. Where she remained a lanky filly destined to be a King's Queen chosen to stand proudly by his side. The stars now glittered heavily above her visualizing a sea of endless stars, The brightest though captured her heart since she noticed it now smiling vividly at her. Momentarily she pondered if Aty looked upward at this brilliant light whom watched over everyone each night. She pondered deeply if he thought of her gazing highward upon that shining beacon.
"You're thinking of him again aren't you" responded the golden owl flying in sync with her.
Without fail Iset responded, "Yes of course. We were but children when we met but our hearts never ceased to beat. Mine never has even when I lost sight of him being sold off to the traders. I wonder how he fares or mentally how he's aged".
Irisi clicked her tongue looking over at the thick stallion escorting his mate, "That stallion there has marveled me beyond words Iset. The things he has done for Feena are simply brain puzzling that I've witnessed. Not personally have I taken a lifemate but, I dream of those days to find love as genuine as that".
Iset watched Yuuri who seemed to doze off at times making him look a tad goofy shaking himself awake. She too had witnessed that stallion hopping on two legs carrying his unconscious mate out of the rain. Aty had never proved himself to that extent even letting her wonder if his words were purely a spoiled Prince staking his claim. "I too dream of a love such as theirs unrequited by any means. I do not know what to expect seeing Aty again but my heart still calls out for him even now".
The owl nodded listening softly to the mare's heart, "Then you must find him Iset. No matter what the sands of time have driven between you there must be a passage to find him. You've traveled miles be it flight or boat but you've never given up. As the spirits speak they whisper tidings good and bad. What will be will be when you complete your journey. For the time being enjoy your adventure leaving questions behind you. Only when you release your worries do you truly fly with your wings spread open".
"I will always wait for you Aty no matter where you have gone" she spoke with a smile as her wise young eyes sparkled with sunlight, "Even if were were to be separated not even the sands of time can keep us apart".
Iset nodded, "You are correct Irisi. Let's just enjoy their adventure. The true test shall come when we finally meet again.

Perhaps a dream shrouded in mystery reality was but a hoofbeat away.
Opening her eyes with a groan the flutter known as Feena was welcomed by the sounds of oceanic waves and the warmth of the sun. Blinking she yawned looking around her noting she was no longer upon the shell that floated for an eternity rocking her fears asleep. Shaded groves lied all around her form keeping the direct heat from baking her tired wings. Upon her side which still gave an ache was a layering of some mud mixture caking nicely into her fur.
"Hello" she called out hoping that this wasn't a cruel sensation lingering over the rocking of the endless waves.
As the feathers of a bird teased her mind she looked upward craning her neck. There sat Irisi poised like a guard in an overhead branch her talons gripping the branch snugly, "Irisi. Have we made it to the secret island or am I dreaming?" she asked with another yawn.
The owl's head swived as her large eyes laid upon the mare, "Dreaming for a week's span I'd say. You've been a sound sleeper for quite awhile once the herb mud took effect. Quite a resilient little mare" she clicked her tongue looking upward toward the island. Feena's mate had been a mess since her endless slumber being forced to hunt down forage and water till she joined the living again.
"I have?" the flutter murmured with a tilt of her head. An entire week her mind spoke uncertainly knowing time had fleeted in her absence. All her memories murmured were the fear and overactive accounts of her stay on that island. Moving to her feet pulling up slowly stretching her wings her inspection noted the mud had taken most of the sting out of the bruise. "Is Yuuri around?" she queried with another yawn.
Irisi blinked her eyes a little out of sync then nodded, "But, of course. He's out foraging as usual with my Iset. Company has been bringing her around socially thanks to you two and the aquatic mare. Her life hasn't been in her favor we'll say..." Letting her voice trail off in a mystic tone she waited for the mare to ask questions about the lost royal on a mission of completion.
Feena flicked an ear blinking her eyes, "I'm sorry I really don't know much about you or Iset. I suppose being here on this island there would be time to relay a little history if you were up to it? I'd surely share my story about Yuuri and I if you would like to hear it as a trade". Smiling she fluttered her wings feeling a slight tinge but nothing more, "Besides I will be ready to fly soon in no time".
The owl blinked again the same way one eye slowly after another, "Since you're awake why not enlighten me of your story and homeland. You see I'm a desert breed I know nothing of lush grasses and free flowing water. I feel for Iset it may be quite a cultural shock when she arrives there".
"Point taken" Feena smiled tossing her emerald locks tied in tribal constraints letting them bounce upon her shoulders, "Alright then I'll start". Clearing her throat she began recollecting the past following up to the future. She noted dutifully how even if the owl seemed distant the avian was listening intently. Speaking of her mother fondly, the interaction of Cynder, and the various adventures she and Yuuri accomplished. When she was finished her tale she noted that Yuuri and Iset were returning with forage and fresh water. Instinctively she wanted to hide behind a tree teasing him like they always did but her vote was against it given the current circumstances.
"Well done Feena" the owl nodded clicking her tongue, "I shall tell you Iset's tale but I think in all hindsight of what has happened your reintroduction with Yuuri is crucial. He's been quite frazzled since the entire incident.

Feeling the rays of the sun produced a sensation of happiness warming over the curious aquatic mare. Occasionally she would swim away from the island returning her shell or capturing treasures along the way. Around five times she revisit the island checking in on Feena bringing salts for healing the owl mixed within the muddy mixture made. A healing treatment the land flyers used to null the effects of injury to a swift recovery. Once she learned feena's bruise was improving she would return to the ocean gathering things again. For some it seemed monotonous but for a mer with an open heart it was something bridled in excitement. Her constant trips back and forth to the island brought her exercise and of course gift ideas. Shells, stones, smaller intrigues were stowed into the fishing net she usually placed over her foreleg or clenched heavily in her muzzle. Within that week's slumber of the flutter Amarintine had prepared quite the array of gifts to bestow to family back home. Once or twice she had visited the island looking for the two-legged thieves but found their vessel had departed after their loss of the "prized mare".
Smiling with a nod she finally packed everything up nicely returning to the island.
The waves were amazingly calm helping her propel herself through the water swimming around the rocky structure till she found the secret opening hidden beneath the falls meeting the ocean. Pushing her muzzle through she swam down the pathway that snaked onward for a few laps. Turning right she swam upward till she reached a lagoon fairly sized for her to wade within while still being covered by the brine of salt and sea water. Her perception of this island never wavered from her thoughts noting how serene it was here. This amazing place she spent most of her time within when days of sadness or disarray seemed stuck in an eternal hiatus. Even the rains were subtle hinting just enough life force to create this immense paradise.
Pulling the bag upon the lagoon's edge she called out, "Feena! How are you feeling?"
Knowing that the injury had put a strain on the flutter mare made the mer happy to see her standing again. Slapping her tail in the water she mused with a deep glimmer in her eyes, "I know time is short here because you have to return to the mainland. But, I wanted you, Yuuri, Iset, and Irisi all to have something to remember me by". The feeling though was bittersweet knowing she'd be with the ocean again swimming outward to be with Nereus when he returned. Friendships are indeed precious as farewells bring sadness. But, with any tale built in remembrance and stories to tell there would always be another to fill that void.

A week seemed like an eternity idly spending your time passing conversation with a stranger. This stranger being a stallion whom did amazing unheard things for his mate frail as a twig combined with a flaring heart of adventure and intrigue. The past week had been a nightmare along with years before it. From her purchase of a consort to the thieves' colony her life had been a mishmash of many things. Still keeping her betrothed deep set in her mind the Egyptian princess never lost hope his whereabouts were forgotten or lost. In fact over those gruelling years she never forgot his bold voice or determination. Thinking back she was merely a filly who now stepped with grace in a mare's body. Lithe with slender strong legs, perfect height, and a regal stance even the thieves couldn't bring themselves to injure her in any discipline. Sure she harbored scars from her first outburst with a whip retaliating but they grew so fine there was no worry of her value depleting. Her unique appearance was that created by a deity gifted unto the mortals to cherish and sometimes worship if they were pleased to do so.
It wasn't until of recent that a stallion had been sanctioned off with qualifications to sire foals. He was dappled of course with a haughty look in his eyes when she first met him. Perhaps an offset in his bloodline she deduced from his body language. Iset also noticed this dappled male though showing approval truly harbored no interest in her snaking his head with a snap of his teeth. Glad for the stallion's reaction Iset was once again set to her paddock awaiting her fate. It seemed of late the Desert Thieves were at a loss finally deciding to sell the Princess to the highest bidder preferably a King to breed her off.
Word had come along the herd that a buyer finally reared its ugly head to her likeness. Shamefully he was more of a brute giving Iset a feeling of dread as he smelled of things she'd sooner forget. Since her first whipping though she remained quiet, an aristocrat compared to the mares that grew conceited and rebellious.
Never once again had she ever received a whip or smack on the flank.
Standing there awaiting her fate the rustle of feathers awakened her senses...
"Are you okay Iset?"
A voice suddenly awoke her from that nightmare, "Yes. Why do you ask?" she looked calmly at the stallion carrying fruits hooked to his cape.
"You are beading sweat upon your chest. Only time that happens is a deep run or something mentally. Again are you alright?" the stallion asked his deep ebony eyes training on her own.
"I'm fine" her tone was shaky but she pushed it back pulling out confidence, "Oh it looks as if Feena has awoken. If she's able to stand I'm sure we'll be able to travel to your homeland.
Yuuri scrunched his muzzle because he could never understand mares when they harbored something ill about themselves. Shaking it off he looked at Feena those deep eyes black as obsidian shimmering like prized gems, "Hey Feena! How's your injury? Almost ready to fly?!" Ginning wildly he took off in a gallop to shower his mate his nuzzles while coaxing her to eat the bitter healing fruits of the island. His mind still engrossed curiously he glanced back at Iset whom seemed deep in thought as he made contact with Feena fully turning his attention on her.
Iset stepped slowly noting the familiarity of love between the pair. Her heart stopped momentarily thinking upon Aty and his adoration for her as a colt.
"If you stand there in a daze time will endlessly stand still" came the wise voice of the owl she called companion, "I see you are haunted by those memories. I do hope you will be well when we arrive at this land. You are covered in sweat as your withers prickle too much. Lead yourself not to cause worriment Iset".
Iset shook her head smiling momentarily for the owl. It was a fake show of confidence she presented, "Things will be well my companion. I shall be well".
The owl nodded, "Indeed. Come a reunion is in order along with a farewell. Bittersweet at best as stories write new anthologies about the sands of time".
The mare shook her head, "Let's just let this story write itself Irisi. Besides the sands of time are endless as our our preordained lives. Even when we reach this land and find Atem I still seek to visit this pair and their children again. I have learned much yet know so little".
"Indeed" the owl clicked her tongue spreading her wings to fy over toward the happy pair. She noted Iset was behind her in a faster gait.
Now the farewell would commence and conclude as most stories do yet even in their entirety they'd never truly end. Much like reincarnation there never truly was or will be an ending.

"Definitely" returned the more optimistic reply from the once ailing flutter mare. Stretching she smiled widely wondering what concoction had healed her so quickly. Leaning in toward Yuuri she sighed, "I miss my babies. Think our vacation should conclude soon?" Such a bittersweet sensation filled her and yet even in the grip of uncertainty her heart pounded with a passion as wonderful as their love.
Chuckling with a hearty nod , "I miss them too. Eager to know which one will have kids calling me grandpa" his reddened feeling silly in front of her.
"Aww Yuuri you know I'd love to be a grandmother. Besides I don't feel old nor will I ever because my heart is young which makes me eternal". Laughing softly she leaned heavier into him feeling the rise and fall of his deep breath. If ever there were a time she wished for the quiet world it was now. Endless summer evenings she lean like this close to his heart watching the sun set in a display of spectacular Oranges and pinks. The same could be said for mornings watching the sun come alive but Yuuri liked sleeping so she snuggled close while watching the great orb rise like clockwork. It's a funny notion for a Soquili like her believing even wintry or rainy days that orb would always be there as it was when the weather allowed visitation rights.
Yuuri loved seeing her serene as her strength reached out to him leaning inward like she did. The soul from within stirring slightly feeling the ecstasy of innocence wrapping around them both like a security blanket. So many adventures they had chased after always ending with the two star crossed lovers in each other's auras. "I would hope so. Of all the mares I know you should be a grandmother. Even a great great grandmother they recognize as the famous adventurer with her mate by her side.
"Great Great?" she laughed, "Yuuri don't stress the kids with wishes that big. Besides someday I hope my sister will appear in this land because I really want you to meet her." Taking a moment she stood silent looking upward as the clouds slowly drifted by, "Leen may of followed a different path but we're two of the same coin."
Yuuri flicked his ears feeling her growing distant. She spoke of another land when they met but the mention of Leen raised his curiosity. If she were alive what stories could she possibly know about Feena and her past life? Ah Yuuri there you go again thinking really off things that aren't possible in this lifetime. "Perhaps" he nodded with a deep grunt, "You can tell me more about your sister when we get to mainland. Then I'll know what to look out for if we do run into her".
"Oh Yuuri you know I will" she laughed, "First off let's see if the others are ready. My wings feel strong as the wind so no worries when I beat you back home". She looked at him with that dazzling smile as her eyes twinkled, " Better keep up with me".
Yuuri couldn't help but laugh so hard his belly ached, "We'll see my dear Feena we'll see". She was a spitfire which is a quality he reserved to be only for him but the stallion know it was her flame that kept her beautiful and strong.

Following not a step too far behind the Desert Princess' heart beat furiously in eagerness to see her beloved. Once again she transported herself back in ages where sand formed around one's hooves. Standing nearly to a mare's shoulders she was both lovely and intimidating. Only within competitions did she break her solid stance beating competitors by sheer grace followed by an internal laughter. Most fillies struggled as enigmas were placed before them opening their minds only to present pure shock of an elite filly whom showed future beauty and the mind of leader. The King her mother belonged began eager searches to find Iset a future husband. Being equine in nature quests such as these confused the other fillies while Iset paid attention in her upbringing. Growing with fortunate luck her large wing span appeased the Pharaoh as he visited the kingdom. Constantly she heard garbled tongue from the elite creature examining her. While she stayed poised her ears flicked trying to decipher a language unknown to her kind. The loud booming gestures in sound and body language spoke of how adored she was. Before the 2nd Moon of the season she was in a caravan with other fillies making way over the desert to the Pharaoh's kingdom. So much chatter boasted from the girls about a Prince that needed a mate and such. Iset flicked her ears yet acted not interested in the slightest. A Prince? These fillies hoped to woo over a Prince she laughed to herself. Most were noble blooded at least with interesting bloodlines while she herself had been the product of King and a noblewoman. Her father Anhur-Raa had claimed her as the Princess of his bloodline. Khepri was her mother shining like the sun itself sold shortly after Iset was weaned into foal hood. Bittersweet youth memories were always the hardest to accept.
"Sands of time wait for no one Iset. Best you be swallowed and left in the abyss if these dreamstates capture you much more. You nearly tripped over a coconut with you mind wandering" came the voice accompanied by a rustle of feathers, "Come back from your past and head out with the mated pair".
Iset nearly tripped splaying hooves momentarily as the Desert faded from her mind leaving the serenity of the island as a flutter, winged, owl, and mer looked at her concerned someone so elite would falter that quickly. Closing her eyes she sighed, "I am fine. There has just been too much within my lifetime recently to dwell upon". Pulling herself together followed by a nod of her head she approached Feena and Yuuri, "You are well yes? then I think as you have stated we should be returning to the mainland." Hoping she wasn't sounding too demanding she looked to the others for the signal. While Paradise was merely an escape you couldn't travel from your life or problems within it too long. Glancing up at Irisi her gaze nodded in approval of the large avian companion.
Irisi nodded back for not a single word needed to be spoken as to what was being referenced to. Even in the short bonding session the two had maintained a kindred understanding of one another through body language and animal speak.
Iset looked toward the mer with a soft yet appreciative smile, "Thank you" she murmured in a deep thick desert tongue. While the others spoke in the lifemates' shadows the Princess regarded the water dweller in recognition of her bravery and quick thinking. If Iset were to truly be caught by the thieves they would of whipped her for sure cursing the marks her golden coat would have suffered. Turning toward the lifemates she spoke once more, "Has everything been gathered we need for this journey to the mainland?" Escence was time and time is essence.
