Edith understood that monstrous side of herself to the point where she no longer regretted it's presence. She simply accepted it as a part of her soul; as if it had never been vacant all. If she could just help Kole to meld the two halves of himself into one, then maybe, just maybe he could be happy.
That's all she really wanted. Kole deserved more than anyone else in the world to be happy. He had suffered so much at the hands of humans and poke'mon alike that it filled her with rage to think about.
She moved so that her hips could straddle his own atop the ground, wings laid limp behind her. For a moment she joined in gazing upon her hands. She could see the destruction they had wrought, but also nicer things. Hand stitched blankets under a summer sun, freshly scrambled eggs in the morning, holding onto the warmth of Kole's hand, touching his skin as they lay entwined by the lake...
"Let me help you find peace." The Alakazam spoke for her. "We can do this together, just don't leave me behind." She leaned forward to place her forehead against his own, little droplets of blood on her forehead meshing against his skin.

Kole looked up as Edith settled onto him, eyes and cheeks damp with tears, jaw clenching tight. The darkness within him was beginning to complain and fight. That side didn't appreciate being emotional, or being tied into the same mind as Kole. It wanted to rage, to throw Edith to the side and tear that enabling little Alakazam apart! He could see it in his mind, sinking his nails into both Edith and the Alakazam. He would show them who was in charge of this body!
However, when he felt the boiling in his belly reaching for his heart, his arms of hair turning to reach for the Starvia's throat, Kole gasped out a little sob and tipped his head to capture Edith's lips for an intense kiss. His human arms shifted to hug around her petite waist, holding her close. Edith loved him... With the things he'd done, she loved him... and he couldn't deny how her smile lit up his world.
Using that, he made his hair shift to lie limply along his back. The boiling anger was reduced to a simmer, and stuck onto a back burner. It wasn't gone, but he was stronger than it. Edith believed in him. He couldn't disappoint Edith any further.
He pulled back just enough to free his lips, arms still hugging her tight. "You're the only thing that keeps me sane," he murmured, finally opening his eyes again to meet Edith's. "I love you. ...I want your help."
