"Not the whole, WHOLE family. Trust me, I wouldn't throw you into that mess so suddenly." All his brothers and sisters and their children and then there was Dameon and Starry and their incredibly large family. They'd fill the whole fae clearing! "Hopefully just 50." Without further stalling, he opened the door and stepped inside. "I'm home!" He called out as he stepped in. The door immediately opened into the living room, which was largely cozy with large chairs surrounding a fire pit. "You're home?" Adora appeared from the hallway, her emerald eyes wide in surprise. "What about your walk-Oh hello~" There was an angel! A black and red angel. HOW did her father just manage to go on a WALK and bring home pae?! Seriously? "Hi...Sorry, the place is a bit messy. Weren't expecting company. I'm Adora." Didn't really matter that she introduced herself. Who knew if she'd see the angel again.

"Oh good" She breathed a sigh of relief. The whole whole family would be insane. Just his immediate family was way more manageable. And then she promptly blushed. He didn't need to know how terrified she was of meeting a huge crowd of people! She'd handled it well enough before the fated trip, it'd just devolved a lot since then. That was all. At least, that's what she kept telling herself.
Etana was blushing still when Adora answered his greeting. And she blushed a bit harder when she introduced herself. "You're Adora?" Etana smiled wide, letting go of the stud beside her and hugging the girl in front of her. "Your dad has told me so much about you!" Releasing the other from what was most certainly an awkward hug, Etana stepped back and resumed blushing.

There was his gorgeous girl! Bright green eyes, soft strawberry hair, a precious kiss mark on her cheek. He was practically bursting with pride to show her off. "Adora, this is Etana. The girl from the marsh?" "Yes?" She managed out at the angels question before being enveloped by a hug. Why was her fathers latest girlfriend hugging her? And of COURSE dad had gushed about her. Guardians she appreciated the love but really this pae was a strang- "Wait. The girl from the Marsh. THIS is THE Etana?!" Her jaw dropped before she stepped forward to quickly hug the angel back. "Oh guardians I'm sorry I didn't realize! Its great to meet you!" Talk about foot in her mouth! She had been so cold.

Etana squeaked. She had a reputation?! Guardians be blessed, what had this man told people about her? There couldn't have been much, she'd been practically immobile the entire time! "It's amazing finally getting to meet you! Putting a face to all the stories, you're ten times more beautiful than he described~"
"Tris, what on this great isle have you been telling pae about me?" She looked to him, only a little shocked. Really, with as much as he gushed about Adora and everyone else in his family, she shouldn't have been surprised to learn that he'd spoken about her too. But why did it still make her stand there and blush like a fool? Oh right, because this was a really sweet man and any attention from him was a gift she wasn't sure she deserved.

There was that warm greeting he was anticipating! He grinned ear to ear at Etana's squeak. "Well to Adora, the whole story. You kept me focused. You let me hoist you up to survey the area which led to us finding the rescue team. But mostly you were company in a very stressful situation." Maybe he helped her more than the other way around, but Etana definitely had helped. And he was grateful for her friendship.
The wilwarin blushed warmly at the compliment. "Oh no no no. I'm really not." Slowly she pulled back from the hug with a huge breath. She nodded to confirm what Tristen had said. "I'm so thrilled that you ran into daddy again. He wondered about you since then. A lot. He worried about how you healed, or how you were doing, if you needed someone to talk to."

"Really Tris, if it weren't for you having a clear head, we'd both be stuck in that marsh, and with one of us having no wings!" She claimed, completely serious. Etana winked at him, amused at having the chance to tell his family he was so very thoughtful so soon. "And I'm glad for it. So few pae ever to get to meet a true hero."
"Really?" Etana asked, a little taken aback. She understood telling Adora the entire thing, but worrying about her after all this time? Just how good of a pae was Tristen? Or was this a creepy stalker type thing? No, this was just Tristen being a super good friend. Anyone would worry about another pae that had injured themselves like that. " Wow Tris, I had no idea." She did her best not to murmur. This revelation had her kind of speechless!

"Adora, you make me sound...creepy almost." He spoke as he rubbed his face with a hand. "I figured you would be alright. But honestly I had the occasional nightmare. I wondered how you were doing, since you had actually gotten hurt. And I just can't bear the thought of such a beautiful lady distraught without a shoulder to comfort.""Hero?" Adora almost snorted in laughter. Her dad?
Well...thinking back on the Venus battle...
Yeah, her dad was pretty epic. But to her, he'd always just be her dad. "You don't need any help from me to make yourself sound creepy." She turned her attention back to Etana. "Please, come in, come in. Sit down. Make yourself comfortable." As she spoke she gestured towards the seat before walking over there herself. "Mommy?" A little voice peeped up. Soft feet glided on the ground next to her blanket, which half dragged from the grip with her right hand. The left rubbed at her dual colored eyes. "Whats with all the noise?" A yawn as she slowed to a stop. Her gaze lazily lifted up to the new pae. "Oh." Suddenly her eyes went large before she darted behind Tristens legs to hide.

Etana grinned, "You're not creepy at all. Just a big heart." He did save her life. It was only natural they cared deeply about one another right? Nothing could really be creepy about that. "Aww, Tris~" She couldn't help herself. The thought of him worrying about her really was sweet.
"Thank you~!' Etana chimed, thrilled to be welcomed so warmly. Of course, this was -his- family. What else would've been expected? As she was starting to step forward, a little voice called out looking for a 'mommy.' This had to be the fabled granddaughter. Lorelei. Bright eyes instantly went looking for the tiny one. Tristen was so proud of her, of her mother. Etana just had to meet the little one.
"Oh no, I scared you!" Etana squeaked, leaning down to peer around Tristen's legs. "I'm sorry! It's very nice to meet you"

"Well thank you!" He brightened up at Etana's reassurance. Decidedly not creepy. His amber eyes shifted at a small voice. "Hey Lei, did we wake you?" Before he finished the sentence the child zoomed behind his legs. "Oh Lei! She's grandpa's good friend! It's alright." He winced apologetically. "Sorry, she's a little shy to strangers."They had just started towards the chairs when her favorite voice pipped up. "Hey sweetie! Oops." And there she went. Adora scrunched her face up. "Now Lei, don't be rude. Introduce yourself to our guest."The angel shook her head when her grandpapa stated the black female was a friend. She didn't know her. How could she be grandpa's friend? SHE was grandpapa's friend! Then her mom started speaking. Oh no. She had to listen to mom. Stupid rules. She puffed out her cheeks for a moment before peering out from behind Tristens legs. Still mostly behind them however, her little hands on his calves. "...Hi...I'm...I'm Lore-eh-lei..." Her eyes flicked down as she scooted back behind her grandpapa's legs. "...Nice to meet you too."

"Guardians Above, Tristen! You really don't exaggerate how beautiful your family is!" Etana smiled, looking up at him she shook her head. "It's perfectly alright. Strangers are scary, right?" The black angel added the last bit with a wink towards Lei. "Hi Lorelei, I'm Etana." She was still leaning down to speak with the shy one. Not making a move to peer around Tristen's legs, the angel outstretched her hand. Trying to shake hands with a shy child. Maybe not the best idea, but it was polite. Right?
