Melody shook awake and felt groggier this time. How long was she asleep for? She looked around to find Lawr sitting exactly as he was. Oh. At the comment she nodded agreeably and .... then realized the tower was back to as it was. At least it would be easier this time... right? She carefully but quickly removed 5 blocks from the tower. She wasn't sure at this point if this was just some strange dream now.
"I'm curious, what is it you usually do for fun? This island is very... restrictive."

Realizing Lawr actually did complete his task already, she pulled more. It felt like this strange dream was slowly turning into a nightmare as the tower tumbled down yet again.
She was down again. If she didn't build an immunity to tranquilizer after this then she really didn't know what.

Once again Lawr sat her up and returned to his seat with a seemingly endless amount of patience. When she woke he simply stated.
"We don't do much for fun. This however, is quite enjoyable."

"En-enjoyable? This? Really?" She was so startled that she didn't get a single piece, her hand simply went right through the tower and she was down again.

Melody came to, frustrated as ever. She tried to calm down, drawing deep slow breaths. "I don't know how much fun it could possibly be watching me sleep the day away." She gave Lawr a weary smile, "your time is important, I feel guilty wasting so much of it."
She refocused on the tower and managed to extract 2 more pieces before failure hit again. "Srryy..," she managed to slur before passing out for an hour again.

Melody awoke refreshed as ever. She must have found that sweet spot of rest somehow. She went to work and cleared the board a lot more slower than before but with a far more careful and delicate touch.

Melody's eyes seemed to focus even even more keenly on the task at hand. Five more pieces found themselves removed from the tower.

He nodded his head at her. "And don't worry about wasting my time either, it has not been wasted at all."

"Thank you for your kind words. I am so ready to celebrate," Melody got to her feet only for her legs to turn to jelly and she grabbed her chair on the way down, barely breaking her fall. "Oh dear! I guess the rest of me stayed asleep so I could focus more."

Lawrence quickly rose to help her, extending his hand in gentlemanly fashion. "Do be careful." he said. "You'll be woozy for a little while I imagine, perhaps take the celebrations at a little more leisurely pace?"
"What did you have in mind?"

Melody took his hand and used it to get back on her feet. Thankfully she was rather light. "You are right, I guess I got a little excited. This was the first time I completed anything since waking up. I was starting to think people were right, that I was useless."
She avoided frowning in the slightest by quickly changing the subject, "As for celebrations, I was thinking perhaps lunch? I may have skipped breakfast on accident." She blushed with embarrassment, "Usually lunch is better anyway."
"Bu-but of course not like... a date or anything..."

"Oh no, you certainly aren't useless and I wouldn't let anyone tell you otherwise. People on this island are just a little negative. You are very capable indeed as you demonstrated here."
He gave her a big smile. "How about I make you lunch?" he said. "I already had a big breakfast myself, but we can see what we can whip you up."

"You are so very kind. I think you give me too much credit, but I will trust your words as an honest gentleman." She lit up at the offer. "Generous too, I would be absolutely honoured." She got more steady on her feet as they walked onward but still held his hand for as long as he allowed.
