The only thing Patches did was stare at the marshmallow of a dog in slight confusion. The cat's tail slowly wagged behind it as he watched the pooch bark at him. 'Really? Is it that necessary to yell in my face?' Hearing his owner he turned around only to see some other woman walk past him followed by Alliecat.
"Huh?" Blinking once, then twice she looked towards the voice as a few other people passed by her. "Oh, hi." She said shyly as her cat teleported onto her head between her antlers. "Yes, he's mine. I hope its ok that he's here..."

"I've been going through a bit of changes going on in my life. For the most part though I've just been a bit not leaving my place to communicate with people." (A fair bit of lurking has been happening and I should probably be more flabbergasted my my ability to lurk about gaia.) Nyx eyed the Pomeranian giving it a pat on the head for it was probably surely spoiled. "To really expand on the fun I've been through I kinda of have to figure out how long it has been that I've ghosted or poofed from the region."

Sciurus gave his host a respectful bow. "Happy birthday, M'lord. I trust you have been well?" The corner's of the surgeon's mouth twitched at the mention of death. "I'll do my best as a medic, should the occasion arise... Although if you find anything under the garden, I had nothing to do with it."

"Oh, so that's where you've been. I'm glad you're doing better and that you're back." As she said the last part, she hugged Nyx. Her attention then returned to the food pile and she giggled. "I do believe you're right. I'll have to ask him what he finds to be the tastiest goodies." A familiar voice then caught her attention mentioning tea, and she looked around to see Unno. "Unno, you're here~" She was about to head over to where he was to see what tea he might have found, when another voice caught her ear. "Prince~" Giving a quick bob to Nyx and Unno, she skittered up to him and threw her arms around his neck in a hug. "Oh course, I wouldn't miss it." Stepping back a little her eyes widened looking at his hair. "Your hair grew out." Tries to fight the urge, but she can't help herself and tentatively runs her fingers through it. "It looks good." Blushing a little now, she nods and looks at the tables of food. "Y-yes, thank you. I'm trying to decide what to try. Just have to stay away from the strawberries, allergies and all."

"Of course it is! Animals are totally welcome, as long as you pick up after them." Not that Prince ever picked up after Butterscotch, he had someone hired to do that. The dog was happily yapping around Nyx's shoes at this point and relishing the attention he was receiving from her. He smiled at the other girl, "I was the same, I've not been here since... well, Halloween I think. Sometimes it's good to take a break but it's always nice to come back."
He let Gigi play with his hair, it was incredibly long now after all, and he probably would get it cut soon. "Yes, well naturally I had to wait while it grew out because I didn't want people to see it in that awkward in-between stage... thus the long absence." A small grin playing across his features at the compliment, "Do you like lemons? Here, some lemon meringue pie, or there's raspberry and white chocolate tart over there. The things with strawberries in them, invariably also have strawberries on them. And everything is labelled." He gestured over to the small neatly written labels with ingredients written down, to avoid allergic reactions. The last thing he wanted was someone going into anaphylactic shock at his party. What a mood-killer.

Prince nodded at the bow and smiled, "I've been very well, and you?" He asked, the smile slightly frozen on his face at the comment about what could be under the garden, "I trust you didn't, Dr. And of course, neither did I." A nervous laugh then, to try and lighten the mood, "Please help yourself, eat as much as you like!"

"This is what you get up to when I go home to visit my family?" The blonde asked, jumping down from the top of the hedges. Getting lost in mazes was for people who follow the rules. "Prince, what have you done with your hair?"

As per usual, the Princes eyes lit up when he saw his betrothed for the first time in what had to be months. Well, he'd started growing out his hair after Halloween so it had to be from then, that had been a long family trip. "Don't you like it?" He asked, curling the ends around his fingertips almost defensively.
Butterscotch, upon noticing the familiar blonde scampered over with all his might, jumping up on her shins for affection and barking away. "I got bored, you were gone, I wanted to see how long it could get."

"You know I love everything about you." She assured him with a peck on the cheek in an uncharacteristic display of public affection, before being tackled by her favorite ball of fluff. Or as tackled as Butterscotch could manage. "Hello too you too, Butterscotch." Minty scooped up the furball to give him proper head scritchies.
"But was I really gone that long?" She tugged gently on a lock of his hair, "I'm sorry. Time and I seem to be only passing strangers these days."

"Silly," she giggled giving his hair a very gentle tug. "You know we aren't going to judge." Okay, time to reign in the playing with the hair. Good thing Prince didn't have fuzzy ears or she might never leave him be. Though Prince with fuzzy ears . . . no no, that might be too fantastic to even imagine. She just nodded as he listed things, only slightly distracted by her thoughts on fuzzy ears. "I do like lemons, and that tart sounds lovely too. I'm glad you have the labels though. Oh, but back to the lemons. Do you have any lemon or lime squares?" Her eyes had taken on a hopeful shine, she did so love those citrus squares.

"It's alright, I was busy too, I was doing more than just growing out my hair for all those months." He said, although didn't delve into what business he might have attended to in such a time, "Although we did miss our two year anniversary. Which we can make up for tonight, I'm sure."He grinned slightly at the tug of his hair and once Gigi had let it go he flicked the ponytail over his shoulder, tightening the red ribbon slightly, "Oh of course you wouldn't judge, my dear. But I am afraid I'm terribly judgemental, especially about myself." He said, furrowing his brow slightly as he tried to remember the exact location of the citrus squares Gigi was speaking about. He was sure he had seen them... "I know they're about somewhere..." There were just so many tables full of food, "Aha!"
A quick point to another table, where a plate sat full of the very things, lemon and lime squares, yellow and green respectively, sitting beside one another. "There we go."

"Aw, why judge yourself so harshly? I'm sure you made it look good through all the stages of growth." Upon seeing Minty, she gave a small wave and bobbed her head in thanks to Prince showing her where the squares were. "Thank you, and hi Minty~ When you have a moment I have a huggle, squeeze, snuggle, cuddle, lovies, and such for you." She ticked each thing off on her fingers as she headed for the table. "I also highly approve of your ribbon, Prince~ " The little blue elf would let the two have some time together seeing as it had been awhile from the sound of it. But later the affections. There's a happy little bounce going on as she puts one of each square on a plate to enjoy.

"Gigi, I've missed you! Let me know when you're done with those squares and I'll give you something delightfully minty."

"Of course I made it look good, but I knew it would look best at the length it currently sits." He protested slightly, "And I always want to look my best for you."
His mind wandered at Minty's comment, and he stood back momentarily while Gigi and Minty reunited, Butterscotch took that time to pad over to a discarded sandwich in the grass and pull out the roast beef inside, eating it quickly and hoping he hadn't been seen - although he had. His little eyes looked over at his master, then he paused like a deer in the headlights, caught with his paw in the figurative cookie jar as Prince raised his eyebrow. Butterscotch gave a tentative wag of his tail and the royal couldn't help but crack a small smile. He couldn't ever stay angry at his little fluffball, even when he was taking what he shouldn't.
"Sorry what are we talking about? I got distracted. What do you think of the squares Gigi? And Minty you must try some of the tea."

A certain teen wolf creeps into the party area, doing her best to be a sneaky 5'9" gangly teenager. Sneaking was certainly not her specialty and her companion trotting along beside her certainly didn't help her attempts. She creeps along on all fours, almost in an army crawl, and approaches her first victim, rearing up to full height behind them and setting her hands on their shoulders. "Sup~"
