Drakon rolled his eyes at his sister "I get cold, I can't help it." He grumped, I mean surely he wasn't the only stallion with that problem right? of course not - at least that is the excuse he was going to stick to about it. "But don't worry I won't forget it" He told his sister a sly look in his eye before he continued "We can use it to wrap up your little reed doll pony, wouldn't want to leave her behind for the foals to find and wreak." He shot back.
Like his sister he couldn't wait to get started "Should we head back and start planning?" He asked, they might as well get to it, the busier they kept the faster time would go by and before long it would be time for them to leave.

She should have seen that coming, but when he brought up her reed roll, well she got a little defensive. "Of course I'm taking him!" She said and slapped her brothers side with her tail, the suction cups on the tentacle clinging to his skin. "Those brats don't deserve to play with him." Cecaelia then pulled her tail from of Drakon, multiple pops sounding as each suction cup was pulled free. She was generally a nice mare, but there were a few things that got her worked up, and the thought of anyone touching her reed doll was one of them. Giving her head a shake, Cecaelia tried to calm herself.
"Anyway," she said, trying to return to normal conversation. "We might as well start planning. I'm sure it will take us a while to gather all the info and things we will need. And I want to make sure we are completely ready to go as soon as the weather is favorable for travel." Of course she would probably make a small detour to check on her reed doll before really focusing on the planning...you know, just in case the foals found him.

Drakon tried to dodge her slapping tail but the speed at which his sister could swing that thing around was quite perplexing..almost as perplexing as the sucking popping noises it made when she yanked it off, taking no small amount of fur with it. The stallion made a face at his sister but shook his head and snorted rather then retaliating. Besides..he was sure he would have plenty of chances to get back at her later on.
"I'm sure the time will pass in no time with all the preparations..besides I heard some in the herd speaking about an early season change this year so we might have even less time to prepare then we thought."
Not that he was going to complain about that, now that this trip had been decided upon for sure then he was rather anxious and excited to get going, imagine all the wonderful things they might see out there?
"come on! Race you back!" He challenged her, spinning about and dashing down the hill before she could reply.

An early season change, now that would be nice. Having a winter drag on, but give hope of a spring every day, was so annoying. "If that's the case, then we better put all our focus on this. The earlier we start the earlier all my questions can finally be answered." Man this was so exciting, meeting a whole new family, who was related to them but had never been seen before. She was so excited, but also a bit nervous. Surely the long walk there would give her plenty of time to think of everything she wanted to ask them, and to get over her nervousness about meeting them.
As Drakon raced off, Cecaelia waited for just a few seconds before chasing after him. "Even with that head start, you will lose!" She taunted him as she raced down the hill, steadily catching up to him.

Drakon huffed back at his sister as she issued such a smug assurance of her win, okay so maybe most of the time she did win..but he was determined this time and he had a head start, this time would be different, this time she wouldn't catch him.
Flattening his ears Drakon used his front claws to dig into the ground and power himself down the hill, stretching his short legs as far as they would go with each stride until he was hurtling down the hill in what he considered a pretty respectable speed...and yet he could still hear his sister close behind, her hoof's inching closer as her lithe form practically flew. Maybe he should cut back on the clover a bit...
Ah well, win or loose there was exciting times ahead for the both of them and Drakon was looking forward to it.
