The conversation between them was easy though as they awaited their food. Gwen played with her chopsticks a bit, knowing she was terrible at utilizing the two sticks, but managed to get herself somewhat comfortable with them by the time the food arrived.
With each dish placed in front of them, Gwen grew a a bit more optimistic that it might actually not be all that bad. She listened to what each dish was and tried not to react too badly to their names, especially the black fungus one. "Right. Well...here goes nothing."
Decided to go with something that looked the most familiar, Gwen opted for the chicken and black fungus. She fumbled a bit with the food as the chopsticks gave her some trouble but she eventually got some chicken and mushroom and popped it into her mouth. She chewed it carefully before swallowing and smiling at Jayce. "You may have actually found something I like. Assuming my stomach doesn't revolt later." She chuckled. "But I don't think it will."
With hope for the other two dishes, Gwen opted to try the other two, the smile on her face never leaving. "These are amazing. They're not greasy at all."
