By the way, insanity isn't a medical term either. It's associated entirely with the law. It means that, legally, you can't be held responsible for your actions. I thought I'd through that in to make it look like I knew stuff. smile

There are other words for it but 'insane' is only associated with the law and is an umbrella term for the severity of psychological disorders or temporary illness.
