Two of the members of the escort were lucky that Arthur had hopped up onto her shoulders. Otherwise Mercy would have probably pitched a very vocal tantrum just then. Instead, she gently placed her hand on Arthur to steady him as she rose, slowly and in complete silence, till she was standing again. She continued to stroke the cat's fur. Her face was completely devoid of any color save her cheeks - which if they were any redder would have matched the color of her fuku quite nicely. She did not speak, just stood there, watching Phact and petting Arthur. She had been entirely earnest in her feelings - while Phact may not view their dynamic as changed, Sabine always knew that her friend was her better. She had more knowledge and skill and experience than Sabine could ever hope to acquire shy of spending three years slogging through the trenches of Destiny City. To finally be able to put those feelings into words, had in a way been liberating to Sabine. But Havasu and Sidouer had made a mockery of it, and that cut deep. Her heart had sunken so low that she wasn't sure where she would find it. Again, if it had not been for arthur the burning she felt in her eyes might actually have blossomed into tears. She would have turned and run away just to... get away from the embarrassment of it all. For all her puff and bluster about being on the same level as all the other adults in the group, she was still a child. She knew this fact to be true. She had seen it throughout the whole meeting. She was probably the youngest out of all the assembled and... It was only because Phact backed her up in some ways that her views were given any ounce of credence. Nobody resepcted her, or saw her as an equal. She was a child - why should they? She knew nothing. She continued to stroke Arthur in silence, as the storm brewed within her, her face hardening and freezing to keep the swirling tempest of emotions from overflowing and spilling out. It all threatened to erupt at any moment, but she did not want to upset Arthur. She did not want to bring Phact any further embarrassment for being associated with a... child. "Sorry," she managed to say, voice low and quiet. "I won't do it again." Then she resumed her silence, hand stroking Arthur to keep herself rooted and fighting the urge to run. Prove once and for all that she did not belong. She was such a fool.

“Hmm?” Sidouer glanced over at the youngest member of their group then quickly sobered up after noticing Sabine’s thin pursed lips. It was clear as day that the girl was upset, almost as if she had been reprimanded, and was barely holding it together. “Hey, none of that now.” The Senshi of Static skirted around Havasu so she could place a reassuring hand on the girl's shoulder. “Nobody is angry or upset. Phact is just self conscious about having all this attention dumped in her lap. You should know by now how much she adores you.” Which was a fact since the Senshi of Doves tended to stay near her little fledgling like a protective mother. Not to mention the brief conversations they had since Delilah’s birthday. “I was just giving her a hard time because she’s been so uptight lately.”

Arthur only turned his head away from Phact to rub against Sabine, who he could feel her shoulder's tensing under his stomach. "Make it a latte and we'll talk." He said back with narrowing eyes. "I don't need thanks for doing what you need. It's the least a old cat like me can do."
As for Sabine, he turned to her and purred in hopes it would lift her spirits and, if anything, to thank her for the petting. If it was one thing he could pick up on, it was someone petting him over and over, which usually was someone wanting comfort.
"You are being very respectufl, but Phact can't walk on her own as it is. Having a big head won't help her." He spoke softly, but continued. "..But it is your praise and strength that has made her starseed change. You are a team, right?" And Sabine had patrolled with Phact before and helped pull her out of dangerous situations - even if that was caused by him.
Now he needed to be comforted, but Sabine was doing a good job with the petting.
He hadn't expected to see Cetus so soon, and puffed a little at the sight of him. It was probably one of the first times he spoke back to someone he awakened after he was done changing them to a senshi. It was - actually rather strange, but not in a bad way.
"Cetus makes good coffee, but Phact might need to use your bed if she goes there." Which actually didn't come off as a bad or weird idea. "Would your room be big enough for all of us?"

Hav smiled at Sidouer as the senshi of static bowed dramatically. The levity of the moment helped relieve some of his stress and anger that the crystal stunt had created. He still wanted to have a long talk with Phact privately but rather than rant and rave, like he was feeling just a short while ago, Hav believed he could keep his emotions controlled to the point where he could rationally explain his worries. The squire frowned slightly at the pressure Phact was inflicting on his hand before pulling herself upright. Well... he would try to keep his cool at least. "Mr predictable. Thats me." His smile wasn't quite as bright as it normally would as he returned Phact's gentle ribbing. He was pulled from his thoughts as one of the senshi from the meeting caught up to the group. Havasu remembered him from the meeting the night prior, the guy came with Sidouer and was her cousin, but real introductions weren't made... not as far as Hav remembered at least. "Coffee? Arthur likes coffee?" Like Cetus, Hav didn't really know more then the cat's name but the idea of even a guardian liking coffee seemed strange to him. Havasu kept by Phact's side and didn't really pick up the tension coming from Sabine but apparently Sidouer did since she went over to the younger senshi. He was so confused. What was Sidouer mad about? or could she have been worried? Not fully understanding the issue Hav tossed his two cents in, "Yeah kiddo. It's no big deal. You know I like poking fun at everything. I give everyone a hard time. Didn't mean anything by it, promise." He didn't really know what else to say... he didn't even know fully what was going on anymore. All he knew was apparently Arthur likes coffee, Phact was now a super, and something crawled up Sabine's butt. Again a frown crossed Hav's face, "And no. I'm taking Phact home to her place where she can rest in familiar surroundings." Something about the cat's suggestion, coupled with Cetus' earlier comment about making Phact coffee, rubbed the squire the wrong way. "If she want's company there, that's up to her. But home is where she is currently heading to." He glared at the cat for even suggesting some place else before glancing at the senshi in question. "It's always better to be where you feel comfortable and safe when your system is trying to get back up to speed." He spoke from experience.... a lot of experience.

Phact could hear the worry and concern in Sabine's voice. It was a clear reminder this girl was indeed only 14. While it was not that big of a gap in age, it was in mentality at this point in her life. Others around did not know Sabine they way Phact did. They didn't know how hard she tried.
Phact knew she would have to fix that.
She was glad to see Sidouer try. But the tears forming in Sabine's eyes. Oh lord she wanted to wince. If only she was not so dead on her feet...
Through all of it, Phact finally felt herself lean over onto Havasu's shoulder. He was right. Home is where she needed to be. Not even coffee and friends, though good for the soul, would help this time.
"I'll have to take a rain check on the coffee Cetus. I don't think I'm going to be allowed to stay out much longer." She said, giving Havasu a side glance. "But thank you. I believe we will be seeing more of each other."
Her eyes flickered closed as she gave a long breath. "Sidouer, I'll be fine with Sabine and Havasu. Why don't you get your cousin home and we will catch up tomorrow?" She added, opening her eyes to look at the young woman and the cat. "Besides, I think it's time we all get home. Everyone's tired and cold. Sabine, you and Arthur are welcome at my place. I'm sure this on here won't mind company." She added pinching Havasu's arm.

"How about we just drop it..." Sabine said, a bit sharper than intended, a gloved hand moving to quickly scrub at her eyes to catch what few tears had managed to well up and escape. "I mess up. I learned. Let's move on." No, just because you apologized, doesn't mean you got a free pass. Her mind hissed, as she started putting up barriers, some physical, in her suddenly straight posture and stony face. Others emotional, hardening her heart against such mockery again. No, Phact would not have to worry about that kind of attention - ever again. "I'll walk with you and Arthur there, but after we get you home and tucked in I gotta go." She said, voice flat but with a sharp edge. "I have homework and stuff I gotta finish before it gets much later." A lie, because she never left homework unfinished before going out, but a believable one. "Sorry." "I'm sure Havasu and Arthur can keep you plenty of company tho." She said with a small nod. "Won't even notice I'm not there, promise!" With that, she eyed Havasu. "Probably be easier to princess carry her... unless you need my help." She said, with a bit of waspishness in her tone.

Oh, he could feel the tension in the air as well as plenty of other not so good things. Laying a hand on his cousins shoulder he looked down at her. "We should let them get home while we do the same." And let whatever was going on air and cool, hopefully, and perhaps in a day or a few days, things would be calmer. He could only hope because the young, Sabine, seemed very upset and not at all happy with a certain Squire and she seemed to be turning on Phact who seemed to have a relationship of some sort with her, perhaps like an elder sister would? Either way it seemed the girl was not pleased if her tone of voice, and her words, were any indication.
"We should talk as well Mei, perhaps over tea and food?" He questioned gently. "If you want Sabine could join us." He added in, thinking his cousin might want to continue with the younger senshi and maybe Mei could help. He just didn't want to push things nor did he want things to explore and it seemed like it might be close to doing so. One wrong word or the wrong tone of voice could push someone and cause them to snap - he didn't like it. Mei had to have picked up on as well.
"I am sure we will speak sometime soon Phact. Until then have a good sleep." his golden eyes then moved to her obvious boyfriend. "Do not worry or become jealous, you've no reason. I only offered coffee to be nice. No other reason." In case the other had indeed been thinking there had been more to the offer or felt some threat from him, there was none and he wanted to clear the air as much as he could.

Phact caught the tone in Sabine's voice and that did not make her happy. It made her worry and with a long sigh, she nodded. "Cetus, it was a pleasure. I know I will see you both again." She said with a smile before again looking at her fledgling.
"You are coming home with me. I need someone to help me change that I don't have to worry about suddenly wanting to keep me up longer."

Sabine opened her mouth to argue, to say that Havasu wouldn't do that... But then she thought of the meeting... No, Havasu couldn't be trusted to not try to cuddle up to Phact and maybe more... Phact was right, Sabine needed to be there if only to help keep Havasu at bay for awhile. "Alright," She said with a small sigh and a bow of her head. "But only until you're changed and settled in... Unless you think Havasu will attempt to cop a feel during the night?" She was being mean - perhaps unreasonably so - but she was in a mood and she dared ANYONE to call her out on it.

"Of course, it was indeed Phact." He had a feeling she'd be seeking a meeting with him sooner rather than later. He wasn't upset by this but rather he had other things to do, and there was this battle looming over them all now. There was a lot there suddenly where there had been little to nothing and now a meeting. He couldn't be sure what about, or why, but he'd go whenever she asked him to meet her just to find out...and because she was a close friend of his cousins.
A quick look to his cousin and then he jerked his head. "I'm going to start heading home, catch up when you're ready." Giving her time to say whatever she wished, see to it that people weren't sooo...upset as it seemed one of the senshi was. it was private time for his cousin and her friends, as he didn't know them that well or at all really though he was sure that would change in time.(Ok, exiting for Cetus.)

Arthur laid on Sabine's shoulders and, this close, he could hear her tone loud and clear. His ears did perk at the phrase 'cop a feel' and he narrowed his eyes in Havasu's direction.
"Phact's place it is then. If everyone could text me when you get home so I know you all made it safetly, I would appreciate it. That or I'm going to call." He humped before calling to Cetus. "You too! Be safe!"
He then curled his tail about Sabine. "Let's go. Best not to stay out like this with youma about and the cold isn't good for these old joints."
