"Me too! I always had a dream and a passion for music so I cannot understand it to be honest." She sighed. But wasn't that always the issue? She'd certainly felt at times her parents didn't understand her!
"And of course you can come tonight to see some shows! Or any night to be honest! We have a schedule of each week made and put into fliers for people. Its not expensive at all... and if you need the funds I can give you some. Youngsters get in cheaper." Her family had considered making it a high class place.. with prices to match but her father had put an end to that. He wanted all to be able to enjoy music, plays, and dancing at any time: not just the rich! They even had a free day each middle of the week where their newest and youngest members could perform.. without the stress of a paying crowd.
"Hmmm... not fight? Well at first it was a bit nervous but frankly; all who moved here wanted to live here.. and came knowing that there'd be other clans. So most of the new citizens were willing to at least give the other clans a chance. We did, of course, have fights here and there. But the guard kept it under control and spending a night in a cold cell does cool off ones tempers! You still get the usual old fools complaining about how it was better before other clans moved in, hatred between obans and matorians, shifters distrust of alkidikes.. and hybrid hate." She sighed. "But for the most part its people just trying to coexist. And if people try to have an open mind most of the time they can at least be polite towards those their clan would traditionally hate!"
They arrived at the edge of a groove of tall trees and Senja grinned. "The Crystal Rain Theater is up there! We expanded and took over this entire groove to make sure we had enough space for everything we wanted!" Above them, half hidden in the jungle foliage, lay large rounded buildings, nestled into the crooks of the huge branches with covered walkways winding between each building. It was well lit; even in day time, as the naturally growing crystals that grew everywhere in Jauhur had been carefully grown along the walkways and about the base of the buildings. Each pole was carved with vineing flowers, each window was surrounded by carvings of the various animals of Juahur. Leading up to it were winding staircases affixed to the trunks of the trees. You could hear the sounds of music and singing floating down from the open windows.
