Terry gave Seung a side eyed look when he said he didn't have a license but didn't say anything about it. Sometimes you had to do what you had to. Like the other man he ignored any looks they might have gotten for how they were walking. He was more concerned about making sure the other didn't have any difficulties walking. "Sure, there are a few different shops along the way to the car I brought, would that work?" He asked as he lead Seung towards where he parked his parents car.

"Mmm, that's fine. Want a drink." Shrugging his shoulders as he let go of the other when they were coming up on one of the convince stores. This one was fairly big, it had make up products and other things. Going to the back for the drink he wanted he decided on a pit stop for a spare case for his contacts and solution, a small bottle, since he would be over Terry's for a while. He didn't need his contacts to dry out while in his eyes and if he took them out before he napped, as he was likely to do, they would need to be in solution in a case.
Shuffling about, he did feel a bit better but not where he wanted to be, he grabbed a magazine written in Korea and went to pay for things. "Want anything? I will pay for something, if you want try anything." Leaving the door open for the other to try a drink or a food or something. He was willing to pay for it and let him try something new. The old woman at the counter was friendly and smiling as they greeted each other and he let her ring him up.

Terry followed closely behind Seung as he picked out the items he wanted and continued to keep an eye on him, though he did occasionally look around at the different items for sale. He briefly thought of his earlier idea of buying something for Seung but decided he could always get something for him later when said man wasn't with him. "Thank you but I'm good." He said with a small smile as he shut the door. "I'll try something next time." Maybe he could work it around that next time they each would try something from each others countries, but for now he was content to get Seung back to his house and resting.

Nodding his head as he paid he took the bag and let it hang from one hand while the other fished out his drink and the little straw it came with. Once the straw was inside the little drink he used one hand to latch back onto the others sleeve, his other hand holding his drink as he sipped at it.
"Ok, we can go now." He'd let the other take him home and rest and eat. He had told the other, that night he'd spent the evening over, that till than he'd only had two american meals. One had been that breakfast of hashbrowns and the other- thanksgiving. Otherwise it was home cooked food, by himself or his mother, or he ate out here in Korea town. He spent a lot of his time here either eating, shopping, or working. It looked like tonight he'd get another taste of American food.
Laying his head back onto the others shoulder he let Terry lead the way. Pointing out what certain places were, if it wasn't obvious. The signs were mostly in Korean here with some smaller things in English. Pointing out the large building at the corner, an unusually large building. "Hagwon...after school school..." He said hoping that explained it. It was a school for after normal school. "Back home...open till midnight some. My cousin...she went to one."

Terry gave a nod and lead Seung back out and towards the car. He listened and looked where the other pointed out, making mental notes in case he ended up coming back, which to be fair was pretty likely. When the school was pointed out he winced a bit. If a school after school was normal then it was no wonder the other male had overworking habits. "Why would you have a school for after school? At that point it would make more sense to just have longer school." He didn't mention at that point of time that he thought that having a school open til midnight if you were expected to be their the entire time was beyond ridiculous to him. He honestly hoped it was more like how collage was set up where you might have one or two classes that you attend sometime with in the time frame it was open but even then it was pushing it.

"Very competitive back home for university and work. Hagwon is more school....puts you ahead in normal school. Thousands in Korea and parents pay, send their children to the best - entrance exams to only let best in." His cousin had gotten into a very good Hagwon, she had been proud of that as had her parents. He could remember when his aunt and uncle had told his parents. His own hadn't forced him to go, but they made sure he studied hard enough that he might as well have been in one at times.
"We do...longer than here. Eight in the morning...till four, maybe another hour if a club is running and I was in it. For others they would than go home for dinner than go to Hagwon....till eleven or midnight....Study and work all day, no class room changes just different teachers." He explained. It wasn't like here where his classrooms changed, he would go from one room to another to another. That had been anew thing which he'd had to get used to. It was not like that back home, very different. You grew up with these people and spent a large amount of time with them, many hours. So they became good friends, close, with many shared experiences. It meant they also saw when you failed at something...or when something embarrassing happened or anything else. As many things happened there as you spent so long in school learning.
"I did not go to Hagwon, I went to library to study. I had to keep up with them, I did not want to sit in another school." So he'd sat in a library. But he could see something other than some of the same faces. There was more around him and he had preferred it. Plus it was a break which was needed, he could rest his eyes when he needed to, not that it helped as he still needed glasses. His sight wasn't as bad as some friends he had though, and he blamed that on how much longer they studied as opposed to how long he studied,
"We brought pillows to school, cushions...made it comfortable." As it was like a second home to them really, and it made sense that it would be as such. Students falling asleep was a somewhat normal thing...and they'd be woken up and continue on with lessons.
"Only Hagwon here..." Indicating the one he'd already pointed out. "Cousin didn't want to go...sister wants to. My parents might let her. She wants to be better than classmates...better in English language."

"I see..." It sounded like a nightmare in Terry's opinion. With that much school in a day, when would you have time for anything else? He knew already that video games were restricted from what Seung had told him before so that was one hobby that was very limited, but add in an after school school that went on til midnight? He was very glad he lived in the US. "A library sound much better to go to for studying." He nodded, glad the other hadn't gone to one of the Hagwon's. "Well, I hope she does well in it and hope this one isn't open as long as the ones in Korea."
It wasn't long for them to reach the car and he unlocked it then opened the passenger side door for Seung.

"I did work hard anyway, had to. I fell asleep there at times. They would wake me...I would study more than and go home late. I did spend much time there...I had to - I got into top university. One of three, so I could get good job." And be unhappy as he would have done what his father had wanted him to, even if it wasn't what he'd wanted. He had been prepared for it.
"Was all set. Would have gotten a job where he wanted me to. I would have had to fix this." Indicating his hair, as that would not have been acceptable. here he could keep his hair as he pleased, his job didn't mind even if it was a Korean couple who owned the place. They were ok with it, things weren't the same here and so it had been accepted. "These come out." The piercings were motioned to. He'd have had to change many things about himself. The make up would have stayed but not the eye liner he used.
"Eyes might have held me back from job....maybe not - have good looks." He said while buckling himself into the passenger seat of the others car. Snuggling into the seat and doing his best to curl into the seat as he finished the last of his drink. The empty container going into his bag.

Terry got into the driver side and buckled up as he listened. "At least at the library you were able to nap at times then." He said. Once Seung was settled in he started up the car and started to head home. He split his attention between his friend and the road, though made sure to keep his eyes in front of him unless he had to check a mirror. "I know you mentioned what you want to do before and what your dad wants for you." He still would support the other if he decided to follow his own dream instead of his dad's, that wouldn't change. "Have you looked into DCU's degrees for Writers?"

"No, I have not yet...not familiar with system here. Not sure if it's the same." Or if it was different. He also didn't understand words, and terms so language might be an issue. Though he supposed he could ask for help if need be. He knew his father would still push for him to do something else, something better, with his life and what he chose to do for a career. Did he want to break the mold and do what he wanted? He did but...duty and family...he had grown up with that...with fitting the mild and doing what was expected of him as far as schooling had gone. He had done well, very well, and had made them all happy...would he fail them now? Should he? He could certainly do it here and now.
"Maybe will." He answered then as he settled in and smiled at the other, watching him drive. Maybe he'd eventually get a license here to drive too.

"I could help you search if you like, maybe after you rest." Terry offered up. He still didn't want to push Seung into something that would cause friction with his family but at the same time, he wanted to see the other happy with his lot in life. "I could help explain things no matter which degree you end up going for."
It wasn't terribly long before they arrived at his house and he parked the car in the driveway. "Any preference for food? Anything you prefer to avoid?" He asked as he got out of the car.

"That would be good. Would like to see what I can do and how." That would help him, he was nervous about figuring the system out here and what he had to do as far as paper work went and how to figure what classes he needed, when he could take them. It was easier back home. "have to see what will transfer." If anything at all, which he doubted anything would. "Need English language also."
He knew the other was working to help him do as he wanted to, not his father, and he appreciated it. it was a push he needed, a backbone he didn't have against his father normally - adult or not.
"No nuts." He had been wearing a sweater and only the arm he needed exposed had the sleeve rolled up earlier. So shifting about he had freed his other arm of his coat sleeve and rolled the sweater sleeve up. A braided band of black leather encircled his wrist. breaking up the black leather was a strip of metal with a medical symbol and korean writing. As he rolled it so the other side of the metal showed it was in English...the words Nuts. He had a nut allergy, and bad enough it warranted a bracelet for it.

"English wont be a problem, there are classes that are aimed at helping people to learn it." Terry said and almost gave Seung a smile but stopped himself from turning to him at the last moment. "We can look through all of the different option you have, maybe see about what options you have for scholarships as well." If the other did indeed go against his fathers wishes, he would make sure he would have the means to follow through.
"Alright, that's easy to avoid." He said with a nod as he made a mental note to avoid nuts around Seung. "Any thing else?" He asked as he lead Seung into his house.

"Good, will need." Meanwhile if he had to learn a language, other than English, and they offered Korean...well he could take that for the ease...although that would be wrong. He could do Japanese though that too would be easy, but at least he hadn't been born in that country? No, maybe Chinese. It was one he wouldn't mind learning and had pondered a few times on and off in the past. He would find out though if he needed to take something other than English and what choices he had if that were the case.
"Scholarships would help....anything to lessen the burden for parents. Have my cousin now to care for." He said nodding his head. It would be good if he could lessen the cost of things for his family, having another child to put through school and university would not be easy for the pockets of his family, not that they didn't do well. It was still alot though.
Nuts hadn't been an issue, at least not really, back home so he didn't think about it really here. He didn't eat American food so no thoughts were typically given. But when asked he did think about it, did remember, and thus Terry had been told and could keep his mind on what Seung was likely to forget about. Following the other, once more holding onto his coat. He held onto the back as he pressed his forehead to the others shoulder blade and followed him inside. As he slipped his shoes off, not moving from where he stood against the others back, he let his free arm wrap about the other as he hugged him from behind. Comfortable and warm he didn't want to move away and take his coat off, though he should really. His shoes were at least off.

"Understandable. I'm sure there will be a few that you would qualify for." He had delved into scholarships himself to help for much the said reason so he had some experience with them. Once inside he slipped off his shoes and scooted them into the nook so they would be out of the way. Like Seung he didn't take off his jacket yet and he steered him into the living room and looked at the clock on the wall with a thoughtful look.
Since it was only in the afternoon, it was no where near the time for dinner. He turned from leading Seung to a couch to leading him into the kitchen and having him sit on one of the seats kept in there. "Wait here and I'll fix something for you."
