I am in just so happy right now. Did I die? Is this my afterlife? Citali still could not believe that she was somewhere like this and interacting with someone that had access to these kinds of books and knowledge. "This is just...it's so magical." The first sentence in this whole interaction that she didn't stutter or freak out. Books were really the key and secret to getting her to open up. Always has been even when she was living Above.
When he handed her the book, she was afraid to touch it for fear of potentially harming it with it being as old as it was. Looking at the Fallen wide-eyed she couldn't help but double check and make sure it was really alright. "I...I see that now. I am well, um, just in awe. Are you really sure that um, well, um you want to um, let me handle something so uh, precious to you?" Oh how she wanted to just grab the book and start reading through its pages, and having her different senses affected by the book. It was centuries old and she realized that she was starting to hold her breath with the book so near her, sub-consciously afraid that even just breathing on it would cause it to turn into dust. They barely know each other and yet he trusted her like this? She wasn't quite entirely sure how to feel, aside from still being in awe with his collection.

The winged boy saw her hesitation with the book and every worry he had in his mind vanished at that point. The fact that he was offering it to her and she still wasn't taking it, obviously she was really concerned about books. The realization was nice, it lifted a hefty worry off his shoulders. "It's fine, really. I know that you'll love and treasure this book as much as I do, I'm not worried at all anymore. Please, look through it, I know you want to." Esrael chuckled lightly before nudging the book in her direction again.
It was weird really. There was someone else in his space, yet he almost felt like he was alone? Not that he was feeling like she wasn't there with him, but he didn't by any means feel like she was an intruder in his space. "Citali...as weird as this sounds...please come by when ever you want to if you want to borrow a book..." What was he saying? This was ludicrous! Inviting someone to come borrow a book whenever?! Ugh foot in mouth syndrome. Still...he didn't really worry that much about it. She didn't seem like a person to abuse the right to stop by and borrow a book and she wasn't loud or obnoxious.
Maybe this was the beginning of a friendship? Who knew. Rae hadn't mad a new friend since he was a freshling, so this was really all new to him.

Oh my god ohmygodohmygodohmygodohmygod Her thoughts were just going nuts as he insisted on letting her look through the book. He was right, she wanted to look through it so badly but it was just centuries old and the last thing she wanted was to break it. The second it made contact with her fingers she couldn't help but let out a small squeak of excitement. Here she was, touching something that had been created so many years ago, touching the same pages that it's creators touched. Gently she held the book and took in just how special this was before she slowly started to go through the pages, each paged turned as if it were a delicate leaf.
Her trance broken momentarily at the mention of his permission to come borrow books, and she looked up at him, surprised. "Th...thank you. Thank you so much f..for this opportunity." She thought about it a moment, and then smiled. "Perhaps, you, could um...well...um...come over to uh, my place sometime, and uh see my collection. I um, well, uh, don't have any that are uh as old as uh this though." Her mind then exploded in a "What in the world did you just offer?! moment, and she hid her embarrassment back in the pages of the book.

Esrael stood there, admiring the love that the goblin girl had for books. Maybe this really was the beginning of a beautiful friendship. It was really odd for him to think about friends, he really hadn't let anyone into his circle since Burvia and Joseth and that was probably only because they were all childhood friends. "It's no problem really, you don't have to thank me. I know now that you cherish literature...same as me. Consider my books, your books."
He flopped onto his bed, grabbing a different book and flipping it open. Content to just sit there with her in silence and read. He perked up and looked at her with his blue eyes when she offered her space to him, "T-Thank you, I know how hard it is to invite people into your space...I really appreciate it. We'll definitely have to get together again to talk about our recent reads!" Esrael smiled, a very genuine smile before going back to his book.
