She finally found some fruit and started to fill up her backpack, handing a few to her mother as she did so. They would fill up their backpacks and then go down to the floor to fill Izsha's pack before returning to the trees for some more. These were red and juicy and just thinking about the kinds of desserts that could be made with them made her mouth start to water. When her pack had a layer of the red fruit and her mother's did as well she moved on, hoping to find at least two more types of fruits before they left.
After some time passed she asked one of her questions again, elaborating on it. "Okay, so you were born from her but we weren't? I know that it's possible due to you being half Earthling, but why then? If your parents went and asked for you although your dad was an Earthling why didn't you and dad do that? Then we would've been allowed to go and see her right? To follow that path if we wanted to?"

She took the fruit from her daughter, placing them in the bag so they wouldn't crush each other or bruise. She enjoyed the silence and was about to think of something to say when her daughter asked another question, or rather elaborated on the question she had asked before. They climbed and climbed as Lasarra tried to find the right words to say.
"Yes you weren't born from her, that I know you know. However since I chose an Earthling path I was not admitted to ask for a child from Aisha. If I would have married an Alkidike things would have been different, but since I chose a Earthling path and I married an Earthling I was not allowed to ask for a child and it would be very unlikely that Aisha would have given me a child in that manner anyways. Your sister and you can still follow the path of an Alkidike, become a warrior, but no you would not be given the same title. You would not even be able to go see Aisha unless you married a full blooded Alkidike one day."
It wasn't something she liked to admit to herself, let alone admit to her daughter, but it was a fact and she didn't want her daughters to grow up in a world where things weren't what they thought they were.

Okay that made some sort of sense. It was messed up and unfair, but it made sense. In a way she knew that her mother had chosen not to walk the path of a Alkidike, but she had never realized that doing so would make it so she couldn't have children the Alkidike way. She wondered if that bothered her mother. She also wondered what her and her sister would've looked like if they had been born from lotus instead of their mother. Would they still be themselves, or would other girls have been born? Or maybe just one of them? There were so many questions, but those she was pretty sure her mother didn't have any answers for. No one really did.
"Okay. Last question, I promise. How are we meant to believe in her if we can't see her?"
She found some yellow fruit and filled her bag, and when she was sure that her mother's bag was full as well she started to make the decent to Izsha so they could unload.

She followed her daughter down to the floor knowing Izsha would be at the base of the tree they were climbing down. She was well trained like that.
Once they reached the floor Lasarra decided how she was going to answer her daughters question. "Answer me this little wise one. Can you see Earthling Gods and Goddess? You can see what the represent sure, but can you see them? If you want to see a manifest of Aisha then you are looking at it by looking at me and all of my sisters. Although seeing is believing in some cases when it comes to any God or Goddess that isn't really the case. Although it's true that Alkidike's can see our Goddess that is rare and you don't have that luxury."
The landed on the floor and she took all the fruit from her and her daughter's backpack and loaded it into the bag she created for Izsha. They would be able to get some more to fill their backpacks before heading home.
"Does that answer all your questions? Although this wasn't the conversation I was planning on having I think this is enough lecturing for one day, how about you tell me about your new friend? The shifter girl?"

Her mother was right. Although she hadn't decided to take the Earthling Gods or Goddesses and as her own or the Alkidike Goddess Aisha it was nice to know more about each of them. Although she was partial to the Earthling Gods and Goddesses, they didn't forsake her like she felt Aisha did, she did have more proof that Aisha was really a Goddess. It was a hard choice, but one she was sure she wouldn't have to make for a long time. Or maybe she could combine the two of them? She had never thought about that, but maybe she could believe in both Aisha and Serin. Yes that was something she had to think about.
She had finished unloading the fruits and was starting to climb up the tree when her mother asked if she was done and about her newest friend. Lasseyn rolled her eyes, a smile on her face. "Yeah I'm down for now, how about instead of talking we just climb for a while, you've given me a lot to think about."
Lasseyn looked back just in time to see her mother nod and the rest of their trip was filled with comfortable silence.
