"Ah yes, silver lining." Yukiko smiled to the mare. "I was rather angry with the stallion too. I through such a fit! I thought he was going to just let me go to shut me up." She laughed some. Her tail swishing behind her as she looked up to the other mare. "But thankfully it's over. I'm really not into the ocean, I couldn't get the salt out of my tail and mane for a day!" She glanced back and at her tail. "But anyways... You're an Angeni, if it is okay to ask, what are you doing here on Earth? Don't your breed usually live in the heavens, or so I've heard. I've actually never met an Angeni before." The smaller mare twitched her ear.

Calamity tilted her head some as she listened to the rest of the story. Her face still placid and not really showing any emotion. But then came the question of why she was here on Earth. She was knowledgable enough to be able to answer with more confidence.
"Well you see, myself I had a bit of a mishap that landed me here on Earth injured. I met a stallion who cared for my wounds. Without him I probably would have died..." She trailed off. "But as for the others of my breed, they come and go from Earth for various reasons. And some choose to stay, we certainly don't need to remain in the heavens." She nodded some... That was probably a rather vague answer but it wasn't like Angeni had to stay up there. It was more common these days for the breed to come and visit and a lot of them choose to stay.

Yukiko felt as if she was getting some kind of Angeni secret but it probably wasn't with how casually the other mare named Calamity was talking about it. It was interesting to hear that the Angeni came and left as they wanted. She had seen more of them around these days. Clearly Earth offered something to them that they desired. Earth was a rather great place Yukiko thought to herself.
"That is interesting. I'm happy that you were able to share that information with me. I have been seeing more around but I've always been too shy to ask..." She laughed a bit. "But you mentioned that you were injured? Are you all better now? And tell me about this stallion!" She grinned hoping for a bit of juicy girl talk.

The larger mare nodded lightly at the Usdia. "Oh yes... I'm all better now. The stallion Pachu'a was very tentative in my care. Though he didn't talk too much, and well still doesn't like too. " She ruffled her wings a bit. "We're now mates and are hoping to start a family together." She shrugged a bit. I guess in its own way as much as it hurt... It lead to my happiness." She glanced down at Yukiko. "Speaking of though... I do need to get back. I don't mean to rush off. It was wonderful to meet you. And I do hope to see you again soon." She lowered her head before she carefully lifted herself into the sky.

"Oh I'm so happy to hear you're all better. I'm sorry that you had to go through that. It might have been scary... And good thing that Stallion found you, rather than something a little meaner..." An injured horse wouldn't have been able to fend off a skinwalker. And had that happened they wouldn't be meeting today. But that darker thought didn't last long when she heard that the stallion was now her mate! "No way! Really? That like a story right from a bard's tale." She looked at Calamity in awe. "I never thought it could happen like that..." She pondered her own love life. "Oh really? That's to bad... I would have liked to hat more. But I understand. I certainly hope we can see each other again soon. You know where I live!" She grinned and waved as Calamity left.

Tranquility peered out over at the Shrine. A lot of snow had fallen and the smaller mare did the best to keep the Shrine as clear as possible it was still there. She would spend the rest of the after noon removing it. Maramu was nestled and sleeping in their den near the fire. She was elated that the stallion had wanted to become her mate. They had raised a phone together after all... He was a wonderful farther. She couldn't wait for the day that they started a family of their own. Whisper was off living her life and had her own family now.
But as she looked out something blue caught her eye. She looked over and noticed Yukiko. The mare lived on the same mountain and the path she travelled was close enough that Tranquility would see her traveling.
"Wasn't it a little late for gathering my dear Yukiko?" The Maiden called out.

Yukiko was enjoying her afternoon after that meeting with the Angeni. She started her way back up the hill to her cave thinking about all the berries she had. She couldn't wait to get home and out of the cold though. Looking over she was able to see the field where the two met and chatted. Then she heard a familiar voice calling over to her.
The Shrine Maiden. She was a pleasant enough mare that Yukiko did not mind chatting with her. There was a foal that had been there that the Maiden and a stallion had raised but it would see that that pony had moved on and would only come by for a visit.
"Indeed it is! It was a rather funny but inconvenient circumstance that lead to this venture. But I met an Angeni in the field that helped! How fortuitous." She smiled as she came to the bend in the path.

The bell entwined in her tail jingled as she took a few steps forward to converse with the other mare. "Oh goodness I'm that you had to have an ordeal. But, the above has graced you, so maybe it was meant to be?" She smiled. She did not like to preach to other horses, that wasn't her job or what she believed in. Her faith was in the Shrine and on their own others came to have faith as well. There was no reason to force anything.
But she was happy to see that Yukiko was able to gather her food regardless of the other events. "I don't want to keep you though, it is rather cold out. But as always, many blessings!"

Yukiko smiled at the Shrine Maiden and tilted her head some. "That's a very good possibility." Something Yukiko liked about Tranquility was that she was always optimistic and she was very kind. The mare laughed at the idea that some higher power was testing her. But who knows, maybe the Shrine Maiden was right. "Oh thank you Tranquility and many blessings to both you and Maramu as well! And tell Whisper I said hello when she visits again please?" She nodded before she was heading off back to the other side of the mountain. It was indeed cold.
