Nyiim smiled. It meant a lot to hear those words from Niadra's lips. Their life until now had been passing a few days together here or there before the dancer had to head off again with her clan. He had been ready to follow when she ran for the hills. Now she was ready to stay. He could have nothing better.
When they met, Nyiim reached out and took Niadra's hand, leading her out and away. Bosede perked when he saw them go, but Nyiim told him to stay and the raptrix was happy to. After all, he had a new friend now too.
They reached the clearing in a short while and Nyiim laid down the fur in prime real-estate to watch the stars. He laid down his sack and held his arms open for Niadra to give her a hug and a kiss on the head.

Niadra blew a kiss at Bosede as they went. She was so happy that Jania had someone to be with when she was gone. It made her feel not as bad about leaving the raptrix.
As they walked Niadra admired Nyiim. He was so handsome, she was so lucky to have him. She remembered coming to his town when she was younger and hearing the girls talk about him. She had always been jealous, assuming he would end up with one of them and just be her friend forever, but now he was all hers and she couldn't be happier.
She looked around while he laid down the fur, taking in all of the beauty around them. When he held his arms out she rushed into them, maybe a little more forcefully then necessary, planting a kiss on his chest. "You picked a perfect spot."

Predictably, Nyiim had been entirely unaware of the girls that chittered about him when they were younger. Most of them had their own men by now anyway, as he'd been blind to their advances, if in fact any had been made.
Then there was Niadra, rushing into his arms like he'd dreamed she might some day. The kiss to his chest made a grin split his face. Niadra had always been allowed to hug and touch more than any other, but now he was getting kisses. it was still so new to him that it brought him great joy.
"I'm glad you think so," he replied, glancing up at the stars. His stomach protested this inaction with the scent of delicious dinner wafting from Niadra's general direction and smirked over at her. "Shall we?"

She laughed at him, "Yes on to the yummy stuff." She took all of the things she had cooked for him, placing them out on the fur. "I hope you like them, I made a little bit of everything." She was excited to see what his special dessert was but she was proud of her cooking and eager to have that as well.
She looked over at him, hoping that he would like it all as much as she did. Although at one point she would have worried that she had the stronger feelings, much stronger, he proved to her every day that he cared about her just as much as he cared about him. It was a dream come true.

Nyiim grinned as the meal was set out. Oh, it looked delicious. Of course everything did compared to what he used to live on. Niadra was a good cook, though. Her local dishes brought him back to a happy childhood he had long since forgotten.
Before he began to eat he leaned over and kissed Niadra's cheek and stroked her hair. "I love you." It wasn't the first time he'd said it, but it always meant just as much as the first time, and he hoped his love knew it. He still wore the bracelet she had given to him what seemed like eons ago, and he noticed it as he reached for the first dish.
As they began to eat, Nyiim peered up at the stars. They were bright tonight. There weren't many clouds. He pointed up. "Look, you can see the Huntsman. There's his belt, and then from there his arms..."

"And I love you. More then there are stars in the sky." She said as she planted a kiss on his chest. Every time he said it, or even every time she did, she was filled with a joy that was indescribable. She couldn't even describe it in dance, which was a first for her. She wondered if everyone felt this way when they were in love, though she doubted it. Their love was stronger. More real. Built over a lifetime.
Eating little things from every dish she looked up when he pointed out the Huntsman. She didn't know much about the stars. Sure she found them beautiful, but she didn't know much more then that. "I see it, what are some of the other ones? That one there kind of looks like a sailscale." She said as she tilted her head slightly. She wasn't sure if he knew because he was a hunter, maybe they needed to know those those things, or maybe he liked the stars. Either way she was happy he could share his knowledge with her.

Niadra leaned down and so did he, kissing the top of her head as her lips met his chest. He still had trouble believing that they had come to this, the way their lives had been until now. He was amazed that she was staying; amazed, but happy beyond belief.
"What one, where?" Nyiim asked. He took a bite of food and got close to Niadra's face to look up at what she saw. Huh. He supposed it did. "Actually, that... wing tip? Or is that the head?" He tilted his own head and chuckled. "The brighter star up there, that's the horn of a capramel. And then right up there is the sorceress. She's... less discernible." Nyiim chuckled again and continued eating. Niadra was one heck of a cook. Either that, or he'd eaten so much crud his whole life that he thought she was. Not that it mattered either way!
"This is very good, love. Thank you."

As his face was close to hers she pressed her face against him, eager as always to feel the heat of his skin and the lovely scent that it seemed to give off. It was unique to him and honestly she couldn't get enough. It was a smell that she could travel the world and be sure to never find anywhere else but lingering on his skin.
"I think I can see her." She said as she looked up at what she assumed was the sorceress he was talking about. "Fitting that she be so hidden, so elusive. Being a sorceress it must be one of her many tricks."
"I'm glad you think so hunny. That was one of the benefits of traveling so much. I got to try food from all kinds of places and even learn a few dishes. I think if I wasn't a dancer I'd like something to do with food... Like a cook at a inn or something?"

Nyiim chuckled at Niadra's comment and shook his head slightly, then leaned over to kiss her cheek. To him the stars were anything but elusive, but to someone whose profession didn't involve cardinal directions he was sure they just looked like scattered stars. Niadra was more... stage directions. Soon enough she'd be making her own for her students! They were so far from their giggling childhood now, and it felt like they had known each other forever.
"Then the world would be lacking a beautiful dancer," Nyiim said again, releasing his head from Niadra's. He leaned down to reach into his bag and brought out a few exotic fruits and a wrapped square of... something. Squishy little white things he was told were very sweet, something about "mellows," and chewy caramel he had sampled at the shop.
