"Really? Huh! Well, there's a lot I don't know, I'll admit," Lana said. "Oh, thank you! Oh, where were we... I was so young..." She girl trailed off and nibbled a lip. "Well my family had come to a city for trade, I do remember that. my mother had a large commission. Wynna was pupating outside of the inn and out a ways, and I guess we bonded." She reached up and tickled the nondwa under her 'chin.' "Where did you find your radaku? Is he bred or tamed?"

"Tamed I guess you could say, I found him in the bush the first time when he was a pup but I only glanced him from a distance and thought he would be mine. Then family came and I got rather distracted, but by some twist of fate I caught my youngling daughter playing with him and another radaku. Why they didn't eat her I still can't figure out. He stuck around after that, and I was almost too concerned to be happy about it." He shuffled his feet almost ashamedly.

"Oh my," Lana said softly, her brows raising. At least the story had a happy ending. Radaku, as far as she knew, weren't necessarily the gentlest of animals when it came to soft and chewy Earthlings. Undoubtedly the calmness Sauron showed now had no bearing on his reaction at the time. She smiled at the beast again and then turned back to the Shifter. "Was it your youngest?" Or 'one of the youngest' considering the frequency babies came in pairs, although he had said he had 5 all together. Maybe there was a lone baby.

"No actually it was my eldest but she was just a youngling at the time, born not long before her brother. Very cute back then, course she still is now but a little more managable. Got her adventurousness from her mama I'm sure." He gave a sage nod but grinned, making him think that she might see the double dose his daughter had gotten from both parents, thankfully his son was much more level headed. "I'll have to ask her what she knows about nondwa, I'm curious now since she doesn't specialize in them."

"Ah," Lana said with a little nod. So he had been with the radaku a long time. It showed between them. There was a mutual trust and respect. After all, the radaku hadn't even regarded her unkindly when she'd first approached as a stranger.
"Well I'd be glad to stop by on my next trip through if she wants to see one." If one wanted to see pretty nondwa, Wynna was definitely the one to go after, even after one recognized Lana's intense bias, in her opinion! "Does she have a radaku as well, then?" The other one she had been playing with, perhaps?

Sauron blushed, "She has three, but two are puppies, and a janarim. She seems to specialize in large predators, the bigger the teeth the better." He rolled his eyes, "Thorvin, her first familiar had a litter with a wild radaku and Seze chose three, one to give to her friend, boy, thing and two to raise for herself." That was his Seze, in for all the things, he was just grateful she hadn't adopted ALL of the puppies. Their house was a disaster area enough already. "The pups haven't quite learned their manners yet unfortunately."

"Oh, wow! I don't think I could handle that many critters myself," Lana said. Wynna was quite enough, but she liked her quiet time. She was biased toward quiet familiars. The bag on her back was growing heavy, though, so she gave Sauron a bit of a broader smile.
"Well, it was nice to meet you! Maybe we'll cross paths again some time." That was always nice, to see a familiar face... when it was a friendly one, anyway!

"Of course! It was my pleasure, safe travels home!" He waved cheerfully, and whistled at Skava to make sure his radaku came home with the right person, he had liked Lana and sometimes had an odd sense of humor. Sauron patted his head and trekked on home to pester his children.

"To you as well!" Lana called, and then turned and started toward home, which was undoubtedly a bit further of a distance for the hybrid than for the Shifter man.
