With his hello kitty headphones on full blast, Brandon the black clad badass decided to take things on the hard way. With a small totebag, one rolling suitcase and shoulder bag coated in buttons and stickers, he ascended the winding hill and streets to reach the mansion where he had been told he would work. The one eye'd male sipped away at his Blueberry Kat Knip energy drink with ease and walked with worker's ease.
He had no money for the bus and his parents didn't have a car, Brandon got by with walking everywhere and often ended up late. He was technically late to arrive to the mansion but he found it pretty easy to care less. Just a few hours ago his mother and father were waking him and prepping him on the procedures. First job, respect, taking his tongue ring out, etcetera. It was a drag but he planned to do as they say and make the most of it. He was gonna kick some serious A$$ here after all. His current outfit consisted of a once hidden tongue ring and an assortment of accessories to go with his overall outfit. Black skinny jeans tightly fitting his rather shapely body and a silver undershirt to go with his solid black top. 'Can you photoshop your life with better decisions?' was the chosen quote adorning the shirt, a delightful tribute to one of his mother's favorite shows. As for accessories, Brandon wore fishnet gloves, fingerless, and a small wallet chain out of his right pocket that led to a small mouth less kitty icon. Finally, his beanie and belt, both a matching black with his belt buckle being two handcuffs shackled together. Delicious right?
Inside his shoulder bag was some essential stuff, his tarot cards, his Mp3 player, his phone, his invitation, as well as some postcards and art projects given to him as congratulations for his first job. Brandon was wildly hated but his true friends were always there for him, as well as a certain college student he's known since sophomore year...
As Brandon hopped his way up the stairs he noticed an obviously angry butler. It looked a lot like he wanted to take his things. "Alright Jeeves, make sure to dust my bags and spray them for bed bugs." He laughed, almost leaning forward and then backwards in the severity of his obviously fake laugh. Then he shot forward, standing tall and serious. "I'm serious about those bed bugs, I'm talking vampires..."He nodded, handing the man his things before walking on passed him and sauntering forward into the mansion.
He still had his shoulder bag and his headphones were blaring a certain song he loved, with his song performing as his beat he walked with pride and eventually found the room where all of his future co-workers stood in bliss. He was silent but he looked around indiscriminately, taking stock of everyone here. Add a dash of prude wallflower, a pinch of generic blonde guy and stir until a plot thickens. Then add your wet ingredients, an airhead blonde and girly boy whose into video games until your cast is rich enough for baking. Finally sprinkle just a dash of boring brunette guy and nosey nerd until the final product is just under anime trope level and, just because life sucks, let's add a babbling princess. "I guess I'm not surprised." He said with a wicked smile before reaching into his bag and switching his song. This group couldn't really be his co-workers? This getaway just got painful. He didn't know most of them, except for Amelia and Leon but; Brandon loved jumping to conclusion and making fun of people, even if it was just in his head.
Once he picked his song he slipped to an uninhabited emo corner like most of the room and sifted through his bag, looking for his tarot card case.

**[Denim Baxter]**
Location: The Mansion
Feeling: Embarrassed
With: Random People, Connor
Conner was completely right, how would Denim know who is bad without knowing what the game was. Truly a question that deserved an answer. "Elementary my dear Watson" Looking at the phone then back at him and fixing an imaginary tie and pushing up his glasses which were sliding off because of his sweat. "You seem to be struggling...then again it could be that it's hard" Denim would say. So he ended up correcting himself which was usually what happen. Denim always seem to have conversation with himself, in his mind of course if it was out loud people would think he was crazy.
So his name was Conner and the game was Cafeteria Nipponica made by a company he knew a bit about. Not too much cause he didn't read too much about fairly new companies. He was always interested on old one that had failed a long time ago. There was usually a lot of drama with the gamers and creators. And boy was it fun to read all of it.
When asked for his own name. "Well you know my name is....." Denim suddenly stopped talking. Almost if a cat caught his tongue or he was dehydrated which was the most likely reason. But no none of them were why he stopped talking, something about the way Conner talked. It was...very feminine. Denim would check out Conner's face and body structure and then slowly start to back away. His face going red. What was going in his mind was he realized that Conner was a female. At least genetically. Maybe she was a person who believed she was a male, the thought that she was messing with him didn't cross his mind at all.
After being far away enough Denim would make sure no one was near him, it seemed like a good majority of them didn't want people near. Even the two guys who had just came inside. While it was tempting to talk to the first one who came in the second one he wasn't doing it. It looked like the guy was so edgy that he might get cut just being near him. Then again this could spark an interesting conversation maybe even one of those infamous flame wars he had read about.
So probably in the second worst decision of his life he walked over to the emo guy. "Hey Shadow the Hedgehog you cutting yourself there?" Which saying this was probably worst decision of his life. Besides being completely nervous around females he is the complete opposite towards males or people he is comfortable with. Not knowing what you should and or shouldn't say to someone not just because he might hurt someone's feeling but that said person can take violent measures against him.

Leon turned from the girls as other people walked in. He got the boy's name, it was Connor, he liked the name. Were they all workers here? What work did they need to be doing anyway? The invitation didn't tell them anything about the job or how they had even applied. Leon saw Brandon walk in with his usual emo-swag and smiled. While they didn't exactly make the best of friends, they were put together on school projects occasionally so he knew him well enough. One of the people he did not know however walked over and spoke to Brandon asking him a question. Leon's mouth fell open as he quickly moved over to Brandon and Denim draping his arm over Denim.
"Whoa there big guy, maybe not your smartest decision there. Brandon go easy on him will you?" Leon winked at Brandon flashing his usual goofy smile. "Besides you owe me for that...what was it? A B+ on that project in Government?" He grinned again staring at Brandon keeping himself draped over Denim to give him some protection. Looking over at Connor he shook his head. "Forgive me for not responding sooner. I'm Leon, Leon Knight, nice to meet you." "You think that, you'll break me. You're gonna find in time..."
❛✿≻ ⋮█ crowded mansion entrance lobbyxxxx❛✿≻ ⋮█ her coworkers!xxxx ❛✿≻ ⋮█ excited and being a social bee
The sight of the rather beautiful girl greeting her back made Amelia's smile spread even more. In a rush to hit a good mood off the back, she walked closer up to the woman eyeing her gear on her back as well as her long blonde hair that was so straight and beautiful, Amelia would have to ask what she does with it. In comparison, her hair normally could not be tamed so easily. Eyes lavishing up at the the girl, she politely started small talk. "I'm happy to see a familiar face," she sweetly announced. She knew that Gwen was fairly sought out among the boys, a cool beauty that would kick your a**. And in a way, she was admired by a lot of the girls. Sadly, she couldn't really bring up too much with her. Amelia weakly looked away almost as if shying away from the challenge, it wasn't like Amelia was grabbing at wild straws to talk to her, she really admired her, but she reminded her of a wonderous and tall statue you could just sit with and drink tea in it's shadow. "I wonder what we will be doing." She pondered tapping her chin with traveling eyes about the mansion. Cleaning would be the first guess.
Amelia suddenly felt eyes on her. Perhaps not the creepy butler. Though he was back, it wasn't him. Someone had slipped in as she was talking with Gwen, and when she did notice she almost took the person to be a boy. Leaning back, Amelia blinked her large eyes at the small individual that appeared to want to stick to their self and play on their phone. Placing a hand over her mouth, she refocused her eyes somewhere else. She was for sure she had seen this boy before, but why couldn't she recall it? Ah, that was it! Swim class, she asked her for some sunscreen while in the girl's locker room. With a swing of her finger, she was about to announce it, but lucky for her, a rather friendly and well known face paraded through the front door. They should honestly keep it open now! People were flooding in.
The sight of Leon's bright face could blind anyone who would pass by his good looks. Amelia was no different as she balled up like a nervous willy and couldn't help but place attention on him, though he was fairly accustomed to it. The flush couldn't help but bomb over her face. Now way! La - La - Leon - !? Girls hide your hearts. How lucky was this?
His comment to her - much like a question - made her smile quickly vanish to a flustered and slightly unamused pout on her face as her eyes went to her feet. "Hey, I can also work, you know. I'll show you for sure." Slightly hurt she folded her arms behind her back and spun back to face Gwen, though if she fairly liked her company or not Amelia couldn't muster. His question didn't upset her too much, because it was as it was. Everyone was probably thinking it, how odd for her to want to work when everything back home was peachy keen for her. She really hated that everyone called her that, though at first she thought it was cute, a quiet joke between her and the class, but when she found out from her friend that the whole school had deemed her that exquisite title, that was all too flattering and that kind of attention had at first crushed the girl into running away from every whispering crowd.
Next to join their growing group was someone she had heard not so much about. From her pink hair and boss bringing attitude, Amelia knew this girl only from a certain try out gone wrong, but she wasn't sure if the woman would remember her. Amelia certainly only knew her name from slightly bad run in stories. Cassidy. She was quite known, an unapproachable beauty and one of the best archers that put the archery team back at school on top charts to joining a high ranking tournament. Though she never talked to her except where one time Amelia had tried out for archery and almost took someone's eye out. Safe to say her skills were more down to earth. Why she had her equipment with her, perhaps it was much like a habit.
Listening in on Leon talking with someone she knew as female, it of course had her attention, but she literally went stone face when he called her a man - and she was going along with it! How funny! Giggling into her hand, she tried her best to keep this joke to herself as well.
She was beginning to get even more excited as people were joining in. It was certainly going to be an eventful summer. The sound of gasping breathes made everyone turn their eyes on the boy with glasses, looking almost like a pack mule with his bags. Amelia's brows shot up in alarm. What did he have in there!? Her hands threw themselves out towards him on reflex, not anywhere near him of course, but still the action of the falling pile of defeat finally loss to the surface of the floor. With honor, the boy had finally reached his destination. "Did you walk here?!" Concerned, she wished she had noticed someone walking on the side of the road. Consequently, not knowing it, she had certainly passed him, though she was looking in the other direction blissfully unaware.
Amelia looked to and fro among their band of students, she hoped she could really make some new friends, especially learn more about the girls, but where was their host? Looking up the long corridor of stairs that both went right and left, she decided to step up a few steps and peer up more, curious on the inside of the house. Two others slipped in, the first had got by her radar well and got himself a nice corner of the wall, the other however, took the cake on presenting himself. It was Black Cat. Amelia felt a shiver of dread race up her back seeing his get up from feet to head, this was - . It even made her sway quickly to hide her face not sure how he was here right now. She gripped hard at the stair's thick mahogany beam, but she couldn't hide from him, that would be rude. So ever so slowly she turned around and faced her fears. "A - haha - it's nice to see ... you again... ," She started with a sweet start, but it squeaked out in a frightened mumble, seeing the hate seethe through this lovely man's eyes, Amelia descended rather fast down the stairs and prompted to put herself behind Gwen. They had a previous history, one she couldn't dare to bring up, though she swore it wasn't her fault for his hate for her. Now that Brandon was here, she truly believed all was good until she was cursed. Luckily Leon and the boy who had fallen earlier were taking up his time.
Coming back from her fright, she clapped her hands to dispel any hard downsides to having him here within their group, she looked about. "I wonder who is suppose to greet us? We have the butler at least." Looking for him once again, she was shocked when she didn't see him once again. Gone again! Mysterious scary butler once again excelled at the vanishing act.
[OOC: Could you people please stop making your text so small. My eyes aren't that great and it makes it difficult to read your posts. I'm not trying to be mean, honestly.]
Gwen had placed her bag on the floor next to her, unwilling to let anyone touch it, not even the butler. She didn't trust anyone to handle her things properly. She took notice of everyone who came in, including the sarcastic jerk. Why was he here? He seemed better off in a boot camp than here, now they all had to deal with all the stuff that came out of his mouth. Sighing, she shook her head.
She looked at the girl who approached her, "I guess so..." was all she said. Gwen didn't have too many friends, she was more focused on her studies and hobbies to have much of a social life. The only reason she knew the popular kids is because of the constant talking of them and everyone would just stare at them as they walked past. It made her sick.

Connor raised a brow as the man just did a 'Sherlock Holmes' impression, and yes...Connor knew some old stuff as well. She can probably talk about John Wayne for a bit. Then the man said 'he' seemed to be struggling...or it could be that it's hard. "Well duuuuh." She responded to him as he was about to say his name until he stopped and stared. She was about to respond on what the hell was wrong with him but as soon as he checked her out, well... she wanted to punch him in the face out of reflex. But since she had the phone on her hand, all she could do was tightly hold onto it to the point she was shaking. He must have realized she was a female and now backed away from her. Did he see her shaking her hand? That might've been it. As he backed away, she came forward, only because of one thing:
"Yo dude, your name? You were about to finish." She had her hands in her pocket as she was trying hard to keep herself calm and by getting near two guys; one of them looked like he could handle a punch and wouldn't mind doing the same to her. She was not a feminist to the point she had double standards "I'll punch but god forbid a man defends himself against me" kind of feminist she will never be. "Shadow the hedgehog does not technically cut himself. He is actually an honest, aggressive, and serious character who doesn't talk unless necessary. I don't know who came up with him cutting himself and being emo, but it's dead frickin' wrong and probably created by jocks who expect everyone to be like them." She reacted as now the guy who also asked for her name said his name was Leon Knight.....Connor had to say this: "Does that make you one of the knights at the Excalibur or some s**t?" She raised a brow, well..she always had to have some remark on what is going on. Of course, she is teaching herself how to stop it since sometimes it's not necessary.

Ashton walked beside the old man he had been told to escort as part of his job for the summer, his grandfather had ordered it and he knew to follow along with it. "So sir may i ask what it is you expect of me?" he asked slowly as they started up the drive to the mansion nodding as he was informed. He opened the door taking note of the others positions as he shifted into a more professional attitude following the man to the top of the stairs standing behind and to the right of him waiting for what would happen next

Brandon
~ Couldn't care less
A delightful song sprung it's way forward to Brandon's ears via his headphones and he couldn't help but be delighted. He loved certain songs in other languages, one of his biggest dreams was to be an interpreter, and a certain song recommended to him by an old friend came on quickly. It was a Japanese rap song sung by a thirteen year old girl, it was cute but beautiful. While he searched for his tarot card case he paid little attention to the male walking towards him. Even as the shade was thrown, Brandon just kept digging, only really noticing once Luke made his way onto the scene. He slipped his headphones down just in time to hear Luke speak. 'Go easy on him?' Had this little kid tried to throw some shade? That was hilarious! Why? Had Brandon done something to him? Maybe made fun of his mother or something? Either way, Brandon just scoffed, his teeth flaring lightly almost wickedly. Leon was always the hero type, always had been, and sometimes it really got on Brandon's nerves. The guy was always so nice though, even Black Cat couldn't really hate him, that and the guy did actually come in handy when they were paired in government. Screw government..."It's fine Leon, I don't speak prepubescent brat anyway."He laughed again, this kid was obviously socially inept, how dare he treat his senior this way?
Eventually the girly boy walked on over and educated them on Shadow the hedgehog. This made Brandon crack up! "You gotta be kidding me, girls, you all pretty! Let's get along?" He offered, obviously joking. This girly boy was nothing to watch but he was certainly entertaining. Brandon heard a gentle voice that cut through their conversation. It was Amerlia herself.
Brandon didn't have much of a reason to hate her, his reasons were his own. He just hated how pretentious she seemed and how sheltered she was. She had no idea what it was like to work hard for money and then scrimp and save to keep it. Life growing up for Brandon was an endless struggle, while she no doubt enjoyed weekends on Daddy's yacht. What was she even doing here? Shouldn't she have some summer house to go to in Bora Bora? What was her deal anyway? He barely heard her but he didn't see a smile on her face so it must not have been kind. Whatever she wanted to say was a wasted effort but to flee so quickly was just rude. He expected her to come back and finish what she wanted to say but she didn't. Whatever.
He turned back to Conner, Brandon didn't know this girly boy's name but he seemed pretty hardcore. "Hey, what's your name vicious? Is it Rex or Blade or something, you seem hella ride or die."
In a world that abandoned me years ago! ~
((OOC: @Rynn01, of course boo. This is meant to be fun, not taxing. I'll at least make my text a bit bigger.))
Leon looked at Amelia and saw that he had hurt her a little with his comment. Shaking his head he flashed her another grin only to be stunned with she hid behind Gwen because of Brandon. He sighed a little and turned his attention back to Denim and Brandon, when Connor came over and gave Denim the old one-two on the facts about Shadow the Hedgehog. Leon couldn't help, but laugh a little then Connor turned his attention on him. He laughed a little bit harder when she asked if he was one of the knights of the round table. "No, but wouldn't that be something? I'd like to wield Excalibur. That would be something to go down in the history books wouldn't it." Leon laughed again before turning as the door opened again and a rather well dressed man helped an old man up the stairs. The old man must have been the owner of the mansion and the man behind him...more help?
The old man stared at all the kids below him and cleared his throat loudly getting everyone's attention. "I'm going to assume that you have had your invitations taken by one of the butlers." The old man had a hard stare and was leaning on a cane. He wore a suit and seemed like he just came from a business meeting. "You are all going to work here this summer as my help. Now I bet you're all wondering help for what? It's all over the news, I need your help with the city that rose from the depths of the sea." Walking down the steps slowly he looked at each and everyone of them. "Your government thinks they discovered Atlantis, but they are wrong." He walked around them all slowly. "The city is called Amaranthine and you will find no record of it anywhere. It is a city out of time, thousands of years ago it was the crown jewel of the world. Till murder and horror over took the city. The gods locked away the city." Clearing his throat he looked at all of them and cleared his throat again. "Ashton, come here. I'm going to need you help taking on these youngsters."
Leon chuckled and let go of Denim and walked over to the old man. "Take us on? You mean in like a fight? I'm sorry to say old man, but th-" His voice was cut short as the old man sent rapid fire blows into his stomach and then a swift kick sent him to the ground in a heap coughing as he slowly stood back up. "What was that?" He coughed again and looked at the old man then at the man he called Ashton. "No one said fighting was going to be involved at this job." Leon seemed angry, probably because he just got his butt handed to him in front of a lot of people.

Cas remained silently against the wall with her archery equipment slung over her shoulder as more people trickled in. She had a rather perturbed expression on her face that said "I will punch the first person that tries to talk to me". She glared around the room as the spunky students chatted and bantered with one another. She had to admit she felt rather left out, but she couldn't bring herself to care enough to jump in. There was nothing to say. So she stayed put, half paying attention to what was unfolding in the room before her as a few others decided to take various places against other walls or join the "happy-go-lucky" group of friends. Cassidy only recognized one person, and that was Amelia. A rich-kid who had tried out for Archery Club and nearly taken out an eye -- Cassidy's eye, to be precise. She didn't know how anyone could have such terrible aim that they actually shot the arrow behind them, but it had happened. Somehow, she had managed to slip it out of the notch and push it backwards instead of forwards. Cas had promptly dismissed her from tryouts, and told her to go try stitching or something instead. On second thought, better stay away from the needles too. She remembered snapping as Amelia had exited the room. It had been rather mean of her, but Cassidy had been so flustered over the experience that she had no desire to deal with it any further.
Her thoughts were interrupted as another boy came in, choosing his own corner of the room and picking on the butler a bit. Cas thought she recognized him from her own grade, but she didn't really know who he was other than that quite a few people were afraid of him. She, however, thought he might be the one person in this room that actually had some real personality. She raised an eyebrow as as another boy who had come in with all of his bags over his shoulder approached him, and the blonde boy quickly tried to dispel any hard feelings -- Cassidy hadn't really retained anyone's names as they had introduced themselves, as she hadn't cared to pay that much attention. She was sure she could get by with a few "Hey, you!"s, for the duration of this riveting job.
While all of that was taking place, the door suddenly opened again, revealing an old man and another, younger man helping him inside. Everyone went quiet as the man spoke, and the blonde boy confronted the man, resulting in receiving a few blows to the stomach as the man announced that they were going to be helping him with the city that had rose from the sea. Cassidy couldn't help but let out a scoff at the old man easily taking on the high school boy -- the first noise that had come out of her since she had insisted to the butler that her bow and quiver stay with her. Then she mumbled to herself, "That's more like it." She had expected to be cooking and cleaning or something like that, but it seemed like this job was going to be far more interesting than she had expected... Unless they were supposed to clean the entire city of "Amaranthine", as the old man had called it.
With: Random People, Connor, Ashton, Leon, Brandon
Denim looked at Leon as he walked over and put his arm over him. Who was this guy? And did he not know about personal space? Well he didn't mind too much. Because two could play at that game, Denim would then put his arm over Leon as if they were good friends. "I always make smart decision why do you think I have these glasses?" Denim pushed up his glasses even though there was no reason to. With a pretend cough he quickly muttered. "Not because my eyesight is bad" Coughing a few more times as he realized his really thirsty after running maybe he shouldn't be so chatty. So hearing one of the females had asked if he walked here he had stayed quiet, mainly cause she was a female.
The response he got from the emo looking guy, who was called Brandon. "Oh s**t! This guy has a silver tongue probably from many piercings he has" Denim would put his hand over his mouth as if a speaker and saying. "Oooooo" Then suddenly stopped when Connor came over. Looking away from her as she 'corrected' him. He hadn't been saying Shadow cut himself, he had been saying Brandon did. Also jocks wouldn't really bother with video games in the first place. However Denim wouldn't be saying any of this and would just be slowly walking away from them, specifically Connor.
Luckily enough for him, Leon was distracted so he was able to simply slide out of his arm. Maybe he should have looked for water or any refreshment. It seemed too late for that as an old man was giving them instructions and explains to them why they were here. Which was pretty obvious that they were going to the city that was the whole point...at least for him. He could write down about the place and make some history himself that would be exciting.
Though apparently they were going to have to fight the man called Ashton. Seeing how Leon got his but whooped by the old man he was unsure if he wanted to fight. As old as the man was the punches were fast he was barely able to see them. "Uh I am a lover not a fighter....also part time juggler" Denim would say to Ashton and the old man and started to juggle 5 small balls that he pulled out of his pockets. He even started to make the sterotypical carnival music with his mouth.

Ashton nodded to the man as he cracked his neck walking calmly down the stairs putting himself in a place wher he could watch everyone but paying more attention to the pink-haired girl with the archery gear leaning against the wall. Hearing the boy.... Leon? spoke to him he turned with a small smirk on his lips as he answered "Indeed nobody said it was but it also wasn't explicitly said that it wouldn't be a possibility be prepared for anything you can something you will learn before this job is done" he said as he offered a hand to the boy

Ryan came out of his thought gaze and shook his head. He had just remembered something that gave him chills and he often tried not to think about. He watched as people were conversing with each other and laughing. Ugh why couldn't he have at least worked on his people skills growing up. Smartest kid he knows yet clueless when it comes to people yet alone romance. He asked his uncle once about love after hearing his parents say it to each other and his uncle just gave a slight laugh and told him love was for the weak. Doesn't mean Ryan didn't want someone he could come to for this love but he knew best not go further into something that his uncle didn't approve of. He looked at the rest of the people around the room, they all seemed older than him but of course he did look young.
He noticed some others had entered as well while he was in a daze, but of course he didn't want to talk to them. He sighed as an older man came in from a door up the stairs. Finally they were going to do something, so he stood up straight and listened in to what the man had to say. Work for him, but what would they... oh nevermind. He had heard of this city and had study it some, but that was just to figure out what kind of technology could do such a thing like make city's just randomly rise out of the sea. He didn't think it was Atlantis though considering it seemed way better than anything Atlantis could possible achieve being under the sea. The man walked by Ryan and he paused thought to make it seem as though he was listening intently. He was listening just he couldn't ever stop his brain from trying to process things. He walked past and he began to think again. This city Amaranthine seemed almost great, but just like ancient Rome it fell. Gods now that seemed a little far fetched. He never believed in Gods just people who got extremely lucky with the powers they received.
Take us on... wait what does he mean by that? He watched as Leon tried to question him, but was quickly put down. He gasped and moved back a bit in shock. He began to look around but it seemed as though they were trapped in here. Front door was probably locked now and any other door was for sure locked. He decided he wanted some answers, so he spoke aloud, "You say you want us to help you, but why were we chosen. I mean a bunch of young kids why not go with more emotionally stable adults who have better control of any powers or anything else they have?" Connor laughed (that was rare for her) when the man asked for her name, guessing if it was Rex or Blade. "Dude! I wish. I might change my name to Rex or Blade now. But no, it's Connor. Nice to meet ya. And you do seem like the guy that has seen a lot...maybe a lot more than me." She snickered a bit but suddenly she heard a voice ring through the room which made her turn her head. "I'm going to assume that you have had your invitations taken by one of the butlers. You are all going to work here this summer as my help."
I think we're ******** aware She thought with her eyes narrowing at the man.
"Now I bet you're all wondering help for what? It's all over the news, I need your help with the city that rose from the depths of the sea." The man walked down the stairs which prompted her to get closer with her hands in her pockets. "Your government thinks they discovered Atlantis, but they are wrong." He walked around them all slowly. "The city is called Amaranthine and you will find no record of it anywhere. It is a city out of time, thousands of years ago it was the crown jewel of the world. Till murder and horror over took the city. The gods locked away the city."
Never knew I was here for a history lesson....
Then suddenly this sentence threw her off: "Ashton, come here. I'm going to need your help taking on these youngsters." Wait what? Leon had the same question as he was asking if he meant a fight, but before he could say anymore the old man in all restrospective kicked his a**! HIS a**! "HOLY s**t! What the ******** is your problem?!" She then heard Denim was trying to say he was more of a lover [and juggler] than a fighter and proceeded to juggle. Connor stared at him that pretty much said 'what in the ******** are you doing' as she facepalmed her face, groaning in frustration. She was able to get herself to calm down when one of the guys; a brown hair boy asked on what help he needed, and why they were chosen. He had a good point.
"Yeah, get like the FBI or someone who has been trained for this kind of crap. Why us kids? We already got struggles as it is, let's not add a fight to our lives. What is this? The Hunger games?!" She had her hands turn to fist, although it was just to get her anger in check than being aggressive. Just the old man hitting a young boy like that, was almost an excuse to go loco...but she was not loco....not one bit. She was not going loco ever again.
The old man smiled at Leon's reaction, he seemed to be quite pleased with himself about bringing the blonde down and scowled when Denim started his juggling act. Snapping his fingers he pointed at Ashton then back at Denim. Hoping the young man understood what he meant then smiled at Ryan and Connor. "Why don't I just use someone else? Well because I've already selected you for this job. No one else could even get close to pulling this off." Leon took Ashton's hand and charged the old man.
"I'm not gonna hold back now!" He roared stopping the old man from saying anymore. The old man started blocking hits left and right not really leaving an opening for Leon to strike. Leon was angry and paying more attention now, occasionally the old man got a hit in, but it was no where near the level from the beginning. Leon's fighting style was changing constantly keeping the old man on his toes. "If he wants to see our strength let's show him." The old man smiled and started changing his fighting style just as rapidly as Leon catching the young man off guard. Using the cane, the old man tripped Leon then with another well placed kick to the stomach he sent him rolling away from him.
"No as I was saying before, you are the only one's that can do this." Setting the cane on the ground he looked at the others and waited. "Now if the rest of you will kindly come here so I may hand you your rear-ends on a silver platter we could get onto dinner. It's going to be steak and potatoes tonight." The old man seemed to be hardly interested in the fight clearly mocking all the children.
