He didn't return her sentiment vocally. Archer rarely actually liked people, after all. Some were more interesting than others, some were amusing, some were entertaining; but Archer cared little for anyone's well being outside of his own.
There was no point, after all.
His eyes flickered down to where Marce's fingers touched his, Archer remaining quite still, a impassive expression on his face. But something flickered in his dark eyes at the sight of what was in her hand, his chin lifting, Archer's gaze narrowing at her.
He had questions. But they were too numerous, and Marce was already getting up to leave. Archer leaned back in his chair, lifting his glass to his lips, a little smirk on his face.
"Thank you," he said lightly. "This conversation has been...quite illuminating."

"Oh, just wait. It's about to get a bit more...enlightening," she purred like a pleased cat. Her own experience with a general had been thrilling, engaging, and had left her craving more, more, more. From what she'd seen of Archer, he was like her hungry and deserving. It was just a matter of reaching out to Xenotime, or another general--- perhaps Labyrinthite whom she'd encountered recently --to take a look at him.
All and all, Marcasite was pleased with herself and while she could have continued to chatter at Archer, she decided it would be best to leave him with just a taste.
Perhaps she'd even convince the general she picked to hold out for a while, let the interest and speculation fester inside of him. There were many possibilities for him.
"Ciao Archer," she hummed, spinning on her heel and disappearing into the crowd of moving bodies seamlessly.
