Fear immediately sprang up again before she could stop herself -- share memories -- could she? Were they safe to spare? Mira might understand better if she saw things from her perspective - she could tell Mira was upset that she had been lied to but... It was protection. Aiden had been protecting herself, that was all. She swallowed, trying to force the fear aside. "I... see... yes, I think I remember..." She nodded, and then hesitantly placed her hands in Mirabelle's.
Clearing her mind was no easy task. She closed her eyes, as instructed, and then sighed softly. She could do this... she could share them -- but which ones? "...What is it you want to see, specifically...?" Maybe if she could just narrow it down... she could keep the memories she didn't want to share to herself...

Mirabelle didn't have to feel Aiden's fear, she could hear it in her voice as Mira felt Aiden's hands slide into hers.
"It's okay. Don't be afraid. If we think about the same thing, that is all Mira will see. You do not have to show her anything else." she instructed calmly.
"Mira will show you something first." she offered. Mira closed her eyes, concentrating, she shifted through her memories, collecting only a few of the ones that would show the place she had been, a few of the people she had helped, she had been alone as well, but contributed to the sciences with her abilities. She pushed those memories forward, offering them to Aiden, she tried to keep her thoughts tranquil, showing Aiden that it was okay to show her what she wanted. "Now, show Mira what you look like. Focus on only that." she instructed, as she focused her mind to grasp only what Aiden offered. She could easily take the memory, but that would require sifting through her twin's mind, risking seeing something Aiden might not want her to. She wanted Aiden to feel comfortable.

She sighed internally, thankful that Mira wasn't going to be rooting through her memories as she pleased. There were things she wanted to keep private. Things she didn't feel comfortable talking about. "Alright..." She nodded softly, and focused on the images... It seemed Mira had been very productive in their time apart... Alone, but not at the same time... This was a relief - she'd hated being separated at first... She worried that Mira had ended up dead over the years with how terribly some humans reacted to Metas in general.
Now it was her turn. She bit her lip a little, mentally putting together a picture of herself... Once it was complete, she attempted to push it towards Mira. "This... is what I look like, now..."

Mirabelle beamed a smile. "So pretty..." she commented lightly. She was so colorful and so similar to Mirabelle, she could also see how this form had made Aiden happy. In turn, that made her happy too. A door opened into the building as a tall man stepped inside calmly. His red eyes shifted to scan the area. "Mirabelle?" he called out. He was slightly worried as he hadn't been able to locate her and she was nowhere to be found. He reached into his pocket and pulled out his cellphone. He hesitated lightly remembered that he had made a call earlier he almost might have regretted. Mirabelle perked up as she heard her name, she instinctively whipped her head around as though she could see, a habit she still couldn't break. She moved her hands out of Aiden and sat straight in the chair. "Rhun?" she called back, hoping she had matched the voice correctly.

Pretty... that made her smile. A warm feeling blossomed in her heart - it was nice to hear that Mirabelle approved of her proper form - they way she'd always wanted to look and feel. "I'm glad that you approve." She nodded, despite Mira not being able to see it... She was about to ask what else she wanted to see, when a voice - a male voice - called her name out.
She blinked, retracting her hands and then leaned to the side to see who it was... A tall man, wearing a suit and a mask... Mirabelle seemed to know him, so she pushed herself up to her feet. "Over here. We were having a conversation..." She nodded, folding her hands in front of her neatly as she waited for the man to come join them - which was inevitable. This only brought more questions - who was this man? Was he the one who sent out the flyers? How did he know Mirabelle? Was he one of them or just an outsider that had taken an interest in their plight?
So many questions, and hopefully enough time to answer them all. For now, she simply worked on not letting her curiosity (and apprehension) overpower the link between herself and Mirabelle.

Rhun heard his name and then another voice. There were two people here? He put his phone away and looked over to see Mirabelle and Aiden sitting down as he walked over. He smiled invitingly as he approached. "There you are. I had been worried about you. And who is this lovely lady?" he focused his gaze on Aiden, smiling as he bowed slightly. Mirabelle smiled and carefully came to a stand. "It took you long enough!" she huffed slightly, still irked from earlier. "This is.. Mira's sister, Aiden." she responded, still trying to adjust to the change, having to consciously make the effort to correct her words before she spoke them.He blinked, putting together the situation. "I see. So this is your long lost sister you were looking for. It's a pleasure to meet you. I am Headmaster Rhun, I am the owner of this Sanctuary." he explained. Mirabelle was happy that things were going so well, and that Rhun hadn't made a fuss about the difference. She looked at his aura, it showed he was calm but she noticed something else, another color at the center, barely visible. She remembered she should explain how she knew him to Aiden. "Aiden, Mira worked with Rhun at the facility. Her research helped the humans to see we were no danger. Mira helped Rhun get the approval to open the academy again and in return Rhun obtained special orders for her to come work at the academy." she clarified, hoping that it made sense to her. 'Something's wrong.'"What's wrong?" she spoke aloud by accident.'Rhun is troubled.'"...that's none of your business..." she whispered, then realized she was talking aloud. She shook her head and smiled. "Forgive Mira, she's still recovering from the car ride." she offered as an explanation.

He seemed polite enough, this 'Rhun' person. She bowed her head in return, eyes sliding over to Mirabelle to watch her reaction... She couldn't help but quirk a brow as she stood, Mira's reaction surprised her a little. They must be close for her to speak in that manner - then again it had been a long... long time since she'd seen Mirabelle interact with anyone at all - including herself. Maybe this was just another change... It wasn't unwelcome, that was certain. Ah, introductions, she braced herself to be given the wrong title but-- This is... Mira's sister, Aiden -- Relief. She couldn't help but smile a little - it had been a while since she felt such happiness from having her gender confirmed, but that was mostly because everyone else she knew these days had only known her as a girl.
"It is a pleasure to meet you as well, Mister Rhun." Aiden nodded again, and was about to speak, but Mira's question caught her attention. She looked over to her, and then to Rhun... So she still spoke to herself... That was concerning. "Are you sick, Mira? She frowned, brows furrowing with worry as she reached out to gently touch her shoulder.
"Perhaps we should continue sitting, then. It's a little more grounding... I hope I haven't interrupted anything with my arrival..." She glanced back to Rhun, then returned her focus to Mira.

'Suit yourself.' the voice was annoyed at being ignored, but accepted it none the less.
Mirballe tensed slightly as her shoulder was touched but relaxed immediately when she realized it was Aiden. She shook her head with a smile, "Mira is fine." she responded then looked to Rhun then back to Aiden. "Not at all. Rhun had promised to receive Mira when she arrived so she could get around. But... this is better." she spoke softly.
Rhun had also seemed a bit concerned for Mirabelle and was about to reach out the her but Aiden had beat him to it. He listened to what Mirabelle had to say then nodded, accepting her comment. This had been what she had wanted, that much was true. "There is open housing if you would both like to live together. Or you can stay in the dorms, it's smaller, but more familiar." he offered, being as accomodating as possible to Mirabelle's condition.
The offer was nice but this was the first time she had seen Aiden since they were kids and it all seemed so sudden. "That would be.. up to Aiden." she replied, thinking about the offer. "Mirabelle can live on her own just fine, so don't feel obligated to look after her..." she tried to convince the two of them that she'd have no problems at all being by herself. She figured she'd eventually adjust to it if she had to, but she didn't want Aiden to accept only out of guilt that Mirabelle had always needed someone to care for her in the past.

"Alright, if you say so." She nodded, though her worries were not put to rest. She watched Rhun, noting that he was about to do the same thing she had just done - just how familiar with one another were they? She would probably find out in due time. "Ah...." She hesitated - live together? She'd grown to accustomed to being alone that she wasn't sure she could jump into living with another person... even if that person was her own twin.
Mirabelle seemed... hesitant to go through with it - even if Aiden doubted she could manage completely alone without some sort of aid whether it be a person or an animal, she wasn't sure if she could be that aid. Not right now... "I think it best that we take it slow. It has been... some time since I've lived around others and I will need... time, to adjust." She spoke carefully, measuring her words to make sure they weren't horribly offensive. "But I thank you for the offer. I think I may be a little old to live in dormitories, now." That is, if they were going to implement a school here eventually.
Being an adult among children would be alienating - and Aiden had had her fill of alienation for the rest of her life as far as she was concerned.

Rhun took note of the uncomfortable nature of the two girls. "My apologies, I didn't mean to make anything awkward. There is plenty of housing here and I can set you both us with separate homes. There's plenty of time to catch up." he spoke, closing his red eyes to show he was truly apologetic for bringing it up. "Would you like me to give you two some time to familiarize yourself with the grounds while I get the paperwork set up?" he smiled softly.
Mirabelle nodded in reassurance to Aiden, that this was what she wanted too. "Mira would rather be around less people than in the dormitories." she added to her side of things. This was for the best. It had been so long that it would take time to adapt to each other again. As long as they were relatively in the same location, they could still feel each other and that was all the closeness that was necessary for now. Just to know they were there if needed. "Just ignore Rhun, he's really dull sometimes." she giggled lightly, trying to get at him a little in retaliation from earlier.

Aiden shook her head, "it's fine, you haven't made anything awkward." She was lying, but sometimes a white lie or two was for the better. Especially since this person was managing the grounds. She realized just then that she still didn't know what he was - red eyes were not a trait humans had, but Metas weren't the only non-humans in the world. "Thank you, I appreciate your kindness." Aiden smiles a little, and then glanced to Mira.
Well, clearly they were close enough for Mira to make friendly jabs at him. She covered her mouth with a hand to stifle a small giggle of amusement. This was good - she was happy that her sister had made at least one friend while she was away with the scientists. "Oh, that's up to you, Mira. Whatever you are comfortable with. I haven't anything else to do." She nodded a little. "The place seems not to have changed that much since I was here last.... perhaps a little worse for wear outside, but taking care of such a large campus cannot be easy."
Yard work reminded her of Edmund - of the garden they used to have under the window of their dorm. She felt a little... sad? Or perhaps nostalgia for something that could never be again. Though... maybe the garden was still there- with her glass watering tubes. It was a curiosity she would have to satisfy later.

Rhun nodded lightly at Aiden then shot a glance at Mirabelle as he let out a chuckle. It was cute that she thought that would insult him. He knew it was friendly, however, as he smiled.
Mirabelle heard Aiden speak, "Oh, Mira would not mind walking around. It has been a while since she was able to move around so freely. " she responded, taking the offer to walk around if Aiden was willing.
Rhun nodded again, "The outside wasn't able to be tended since the person who kept up with the campus isn't exactly the best gardener." she left it at that, it was more of the fast she'd kill any plant life she touched, but it's best not to divulge that much information. A vibration came from his pocket as her reached in and pulled out his cellphone. He seemed to read a text message then put it back into his pocket. "Let me go get the paperwork started so I can assign you both your homes once you return." he smiled politely then bow slightly and took his leave toward the main office.

"Then I suppose we should walk around." She nodded, then carefully took Mira's hand in her own. Strange how it still felt like second nature even though it had been so long. "Thank you, Mister Rhun. We'll return shortly, then." She nodded a little bow, then carefully pulled Mira away from the chairs.
Well, then the question was where the wanted to go... "Do you want to see what became of our old dormitories?" She looked to Mira. This would be a good opportunity to see what became of the garden that she and Edmund had made - not to mention see if any of the things she'd left behind were still there.

Mirabelle felt safe holding Aiden's hand, a feeling she had missed from such a long time ago. "Yes, Mira would like that!" she answered with a cheerful smile. She had pondered what happened to her room when she left the academy so long ago. She wondered home long Andy had stayed after that, and if her stuff was still there too. She then realized that Aiden had roomed with Edmund. Her heart panged, something that didn't happen often since she did not have a heartbeat. She wondered what had happened to Edmund. Surely he had moved on but was he okay. Was he even still alive? She shook the thought from her mind as the smile returned to her face.
"Lead the way." she would follow wherever Aiden took her, she questioned where Aiden would take her first. Probably to the dorm that Aiden and Edmund stayed. Could she handle keeping her emotions in check? Mirabelle didn't want to let on that she might have still had lingering feeling for him even though he was long gone by now.

Well, with that, she began to lead Mira out one of the other exist, towards the old dorm building. It seemed to be in good shape, at least from the outside. "Do you want to go to your room or mine first?" She asked once they were halfway there. The surrounding plant life could use some tending... she could probably assist with that. Plants weren't her specialty, but she'd learned a lot from working with Edmund and still remembered some basic landscaping information from the days she spent buried in books in the library.
Oh, the library... Hopefully the books were still alright. Though if the place had a caretaker, she imagined they probably were. "Ah, this brings back so many memories..."
