"So? How is that a problem? You didn't technically lie, I'm a hippy, happy?" He grinned and scrambled up behind her, somewhat less gracefully then he would have liked. "That stuff just doesn't matter to me, have you noticed...that I'm blue?" He waggled his eyebrows at her. "Differences that you can get along with are just perks." Besides it would take a lot more then nobility to stop him from chasing her cute butt all around Oba so he could dance with it of course ahem. He took her hand again and kissed the top. "Lets go?"

Ichil's surprise showed, and then a half-smile grew across her face. Okay, well, that went better than she'd thought it would. Most of Oba would have ignored her hand and gone back to get her father's searching party for fear of repercussions. Of course there was more to it than just that. If her father caught her, she wouldn't be allowed to go out any more. That didn't mean she wouldn't do it anyway, but it'd only serve to get her into more trouble, and the fact that she was out with an Ice tribesman? He'd lock her up for days. If she pushed too hard, she might even gain herself some personal guards for a time. That was especially miserable.
She dropped down the other side of the wall and took a hard turn left toward the suburbs rather than continuing through the city and toward the nearest settlement. She had to keep it fresh or she'd be caught, after all. They reached a familiar shack; an elderly woman lived there, a healer Ichil's family often used. She'd hid out there more than once before. She was half the reason Ichil found herself so fond of hippies, as Kiyelt had said. The woman did not appear to be home, though, so she hopped the fence into her back yard. The black perzi that lived there gave a curious trill and came to say hello.
"Shhhh," Ichil said, but bent to pet him anyway.
"I know the woman who lives here," she told Kiyelt, "She's a good person. She helps me be me when nobody else wants me to."

Kiyelt offered his hand to the perzi as well. It was a gorgeous cat, he wished they liked him more in the wild. But no it was janarim and xaraan for him. "I'm glad you had this place, I was never stuffed into a box by my parents they were the ones who took me out of it and set me upon the world." Stomping feet rushed by and Kiyelt was quiet until they were gone. He felt like they had needed to run for longer but it seemed to be blowing over now. She had been a noble and had eaten his beef jerky and tea without a blink..then offered to cook for him, some noble. He shook his head. "I um forgot to mention before we started dancing but I found your janarim again, I thought maybe we could um, go out and try to tame her? Like together?"

The perzi arched its back up against Ichil's hand and then happily bashed its head into the underside of Kiyelt's. He was a friendly old thing and wholly domesticated.
Ichil froze and dropped to a crouch when what she assumed were her father's minions ran by. How had they known she had come here?! She'd have to mix it up more. Maybe she should start running for the desert, but there weren't all too any places to hide out there. She smiled at Kiyelt as he gave his offer then and straightened.
"I need you to understand, if you find me outside of the palace among the commoners, they're looking for me. If they find me with an Ice man, it could be trouble. Any time I visit you is a mark against me in my father's great big book of Ichil-based disappointments. We can't be together... I mean spend time together, or at least that's what my father says, what the court says, and what the king says. I don't want you to get involved in something without knowing what you're getting into. I had to run away in the early morning to meet up last time, and I had to take a long route around the city. I just need you to know."

"I like being around you, goons or no, I can take care of myself in anycase. I don't have so many friends that when I find someone I genuinely get along with that I just abandon them the moment things get complicated." He stood slowly. "I'm willing to risk it if you are." He offered her a hand. He wanted to see what their new friendship could be, he felt like if he gave this up then he would regret not knowing for the rest of his life, even if they never went further than friends.

Ichil smiled. Good. She was rather fond of Kiyelt herself. Running off was always worth it, that was why she kept on disobeying even as the punishments escalated. She took Kiyelt's hand and gave it a squeeze. In his eyes she saw something she never had before. She didn't kn ow what it was, but it made her feel warm.
"Good," she said, her cool confidence returning. "In that case, I'd definitely like to try. How many noble girls can say they have a janarim?"

"Not many that they actually fought." Kiyelt grinned, "its an adrenaline rush all on its own, the glamor, the speed, the danger, its quite addicting I warn you now, but you'll be with an expert so you'll be completely safe." "She was to the southwest of here, and shouldn't have wandered too far I hope, its going to be a hot one out here today." He was so happy she wanted to come. Taming would be more fun with someone else there.

"Ooh, I'm a girl who likes her adrenaline. I live for the danger," Ichil cooed, looking up at Kiyelt through her lashes. She then straightened and hopped the fence once more. She looked off in the direction the footsteps had gone and then back in the way they had come.
"We'll go through the city. Once we get to the desert again, you can take the lead." She smiled again and held her hand out for Kiyelt to take, although seeing it extended surprised her a bit.

He did just that and they raced for freedom, he felt like a prentice again, doing something elicit but very very fun. They burst into the desert free of pursuit, and none would find Kiyelt but the best desert walkers and if they had need there was always perzi canyon between here and tivrod. Stuffed full of wild cats but wtih many convinient bolt holes that they could hide in. He grinned evily he had put up with that place for more then one reason. As long as it didn't flood again it would be hard to find, no external markers and it was a deep crevasse. But first he would find that janarim again.
