It was official. Officially official. Yves watched Zeke sign the papers and shuffle them away, and he knew that it was time to at least attempt to wrap his head around what had just happened.
This morning, he had woken up, alone. Now he was going to go home with a Raevan in tow. Tomorrow morning, he would go to wake Yuri up and they would have breakfast together. Maybe go on a walk, hopefully get to know each other? His stomach twisted in anxious knots, but he knew it was also from excitement, brimming to the top.
Just as they were stepping out the door - well, floating, in Yuri's case - Yves tried to search his brain for any pressing questions. Why hadn't he written any down? Why did he always forget the most important questions when it was time to ask them? He did the same thing at the doctor's office and at the vet. Zeke said he could call, though, and he was sure he would be taking him up on that offer more than once.
"Um," the silence was broken by a quiet but deep voice, and Yves had to pause and turn around to figure out if it was Zeke, or...
"Yuri?" he asked, eyebrows shooting up. Yuri was looking at Zeke, his expression a bit strange.
After a few more awkward beats of silence, Yuri dipped his head a little and mumbled, "Um, thank you."
The white room hadn't been his favorite, but Zeke had been warm and it had made the whole ordeal a lot less scary than it could have been. Yuri's lip curled in the tiniest of smiles and he drifted over to Yves' side, his stuffed animal tucked underneath his arm in a protective hold. Yves beamed from Yuri to Zeke, feeling like he could very well have been glowing like a firefly at that moment.
"Oui, Zeke, thank you. For everything." He gestured to Yuri, still beaming. "You are... you are such a help. Really. I appreciate you. And I will not hesitate to harass you over the phone if something goes wrong."

As they all reached the front doors Zeke was waiting patiently for the questions. Yves had a lot to ask at their prior meetings and he figured now would be no exception. But surprise, surprise it was Yuri who spoke up before the blond Frenchman which caused Zeke to look wholly amused in his curiosity.
"Yes Yuri?" The boy took a few moments but then a thank you was uttered. Zeke's eyes went a little wide but his smile went wider, laughing just a little as Yuri then smiled and went to his Guardian's side. Well now! That was something! "You're very welcome, Yuri. Very, very welcome."
The corners of his eyes crinkled and he turned that smile onto Yves, nodding as the other man spoke of calling him if needed. Zeke stuck out his hand to his blond friend then after to his charge, more than pleased to forge such wonderful friendships.
"Anytime, Yves, and I'll expect your calls!" He winked, but then shook his head. "Nah nothing will go wrong. You'll both be fine! After all, you have each other now, you know?"
He moved past the two then and held the door open for them. They were ready to go now. He shouldn't cause them any more delay.
"Let me know how things are going; we'll definitely have to set something up so you two can meet Anya! But until then...You two take care. I'm sure I'll be seeing you both real soon!"
