Eresin grabbed a medium sized pouch and filled it with seed. "Mom, Dad, I'm going to go for a walk with Talisia." He said as he gestured towards her. "I'll be back later." This is a really good time for him to plan his branching out from the merchant life while finding out more about Talisia. There's still this odd feeling about me knowing her from somewhere. Either way she's really nice, and I should take this chance. Some feeling of determination and excitement filled Eresin. He had been alone with Peco for most of his life, but to be alone possibly on an adventure! He could only dream of this chance. This is also a chance to have someone as a friend... He grabbed his fur coat and seed pouch, put Peco on his shoulder and exited the stall from the back. As he came around to the front of the stall, he waved to his parents goodbye.

Eresin gently grabbed her wrist and pulled her away from the front of the stall. As the stall left their view, he let go and continued to walk alongside her while handing her the seed pouch. "Don't worry about the payment for this one... Consider it a gift." He smiled big, his excitement giving him a glow.

He really was too innocent. Talisia laughed quietly in amusement as she waited on the boy. Was this what a normal family looked like? A flicker of sadness crossed her gaze. Was this the life she had stolen from Dris indirectly? Kaleo should have given her this... Instead Talisia had taken her father away and watched him wither away under her mother's chains in Zena.

Her depressing thoughts had distracted her so much that she nearly jumped at the sudden touch. Frowning ever so faintly the hybrid allowed the boy to lead her through the stalls, "Hey..." She lost her anger as he gave her yet another gift, "At this rate you won't be making any profit. I suppose the trade life really isn't your calling." She commented teasingly as they walked. She didn't want to ruin the peaceful mood or shatter Eresin's excitement, but his earlier comments still left a knot in her chest.

As they cross some corners and were safely away from most eyes the girl turned on him, "You never told me where you were from in Zena." She commented sharply as she took a step back from him, "I want to know who you are and why you would know someone with the same eyes as me. Have you seen him lately, this friend of yours?" She didn't want to give away it was her twin, but the emotion dancing in her gaze demanded answers. Sweet or not, if Eresin held some answers for her then Talisia was determined to get them. Even if she had to wrestle it out of him. Her hand lowered and tightened on the whip hanging by her side.

Eresin's excitement dulled down a bit when he saw her reach for her whip. He raised both of his hands in surrender, careful not to make any sudden moves. Had I been too trusting? For once, he felt fearful that his mistake in trusting someone had possibly led him into danger. "I..." The words choked up in his mouth and he couldn't think clearly to speak.

Just answer her questions and maybe I'll make it out of this... Eresin took a deep breath and exhaled slowly. "I lived in Dulban for most of my life, until I started travelling..." He slowly put his hands down and looked Talisia in the eyes. Right... Tell her about Ciaran now. Wait... Could she be related to Ciaran? Come to think of it, the picture he drew was when Peco got sick, but who was it that really helped cure him? What did Ciaran do again? Oh, yeah, that's right. He took us to see a girl... He took us to see... Eresin's eyes widened. "You... I remember you now!"

It all makes sense now! She thinks I know what happened to her brother. "Okay, I'll explain everything, but please, you have to trust me. I'm a friend of yours." She's not going to hurt me. She really can be trusted, she's just confused.. Eresin held out his hand as a sign of trust. "Please?"

Perhaps she was being too harsh. Talisia gritted her teeth as she kept her stance. If he knows something about my brother then a little bit of fear is worth it. The thought didn't stop the knot that formed in her heart as she stared him down. As he hesitated she took a deep breath of her own, "Look I'm not wanting to hurt you. I just need some answers." Honestly she didn't even know what she was looking for now. Before she had thought her twin possibly dead, but if Eresin knew him....if he had seen him lately then that meant her twin was alive. It was a cruel hope, but she had to try.

Her thoughts stumbled to a halt at Eresin's exclamation and the hybrid found herself dropping to a defensive position. How did he know her? Was her mother sending out searches for her? Talisia had felt certain that she would be safe as long as she stayed away from Zena, but now...a shiver ran down her back. Would she be on the run all over again? It's not the same, this time I can fight.

Talisia's gaze flickered in confusion at the plea of friendship, "Speak quickly..." She glanced about with a small sigh as she noticed the changes in the market, "You have a few moments to convince me to even consider trusting you." She warned. Time had passed far too quickly in the market and she was certain that the rest of her companions would be back at camp soon. The last thing she wanted was to worry them.

"Very well. I knew a boy named Ciaran when I was little. He was very smart and kind. I never got along with the kids my age, but he... was different. I came to know him when I was drawing pictures. He told me I was really good at it and, well, we just became close after that. Now that I've gotten to thinking about the past, I do know you from somewhere."

"You see, you and I have met before, but only once. Peco here owes you his life, and I owe you much for saving my friend..." He pet Peco's head. "Shortly after Peco hatched, he became very ill. I... I didn't know what to do. I told Ciaran, and he said, 'Quickly, I'll take you to my sister, she can help!' So, I followed him and eventually we arrived at a clearing in the woods. That's where I met you... You healed my kinfa from his illness and saved his life..."

Eresin trailed off and looked down. And I never saw you again... "Anyways," Eresin wiped a tear from his eye. "Ciaran and I remained friends for a while, but we only were able to briefly meet because of him having to sneak out all the time. Then something happened and I never got to meet with him again..." He looked at her and gave her a half smile.

"I told you... I'm a friend."

As Eresin talked Talisia just found herself staring at him. So my brother went outside more than I thought? Of course her mother had allowed him more freedom when they were children....it was only after their father's death that the woman had locked them up inside. Or at least in Ciaran's case, by her side. Very few times had she known him to sneak out, mostly then for her own sake to help her build a shelter.

Her gaze faltered at the story involving her. Why can I not remember this well? Talisia bit her lip thoughtfully as she glanced up towards the kinfa. Surely she would have remembered...but then again, "We were just children right?" She clasped her hands together as if thinking in order to hide their sudden shaking. If it had happened before that event then it would explain a lot. Losing her father had traumatized her and left her numb for many moons. If she thought about it longer then perhaps she could see more through the fog, but the years had made certain to cover up most of her memories from that time. Back then Ciaran had brought several people and animals to her...so of course they had to blur. Still, in her heart she did recognize that something was familiar about the boy and the kinfa.

A friend. Talisia smiled sadly, "I'm sorry." She bowed her head ever so slightly, "I just wanted to make sure. My twin and I have dangerous roots and even out here in Oba, I still worry about them. I haven't see him in so long..." Not to mention that she feared he was dead, "That I was hoping you had more recent news." She blinked against her stinging gaze, "As it is. I'm running late, but thank you Eresin."

Taking a step back the girl waved, "Since you'll be around here, I may come back. I'm also around in the city." A faint glimmer of amusement lit her gaze, "After all it won't be hard to spot me in a crowd, I hope. I'll see you!" Not daring to let him see the tears of frustration the hybrid turned and bolted away back towards her own camp. Most likely she would ask Silva if he felt up to a flight should the skies be clear. Hopefully that would clear her head from all of the confusion and memories that this encounter had stirred.

Eresin waved goodbye and smiled at Talisia as she left. He started to make his way towards his family's stall and wondered if he and Talisia would grow closer after this encounter. Well I sure hope so... He chuckled to himself as he approached his parent's stall to see they were wrapping up for the night. I'll see her again. He pet Peco and started to help close the stall and lock everything up.
