Chale had finally - FINALLY - arrived in Kalos. After several days of train-hopping, plane rides, and irritating taxi drivers who didn't know how to shut up, she stared in awe up at the Professor's lab. She was exhausted from all the travelling, but happy to finally be where she wanted to be. Now there was one last step to start this journey - and it started inside. Adjusting her messenger bag, and making sure her hair was presentable in the reflection of her phone, she put it away and stepped inside the lab.
She glanced around curiously, eyes wide. It looked more like a lab, and less like a home, as she recalled Professor Oak's lab. She felt the urge to explore, but remembered why she was here. Seeing a woman at the counter, she stepped towards it. "Excuse me... I'm here to see Professor Sycamore for my first Pokemon," she told the woman.

The receptionist had nodded to her and immediately called for the Professor. He was quick to arrive, Chale noted, as he entered from a door towards the back of the lobby. He greeted her warmly, and didn't at all seem annoyed by the intrusion she'd made. At his beckoning her closer, she did so, looking thoughtful.
"It's nice to meet you, Professor. I'm Chale. I am, yes. I thought I knew, but now I'm second-guessing. Between Fennekin and Froakie..." she trailed off, furrowing her brows as she thought for a moment. After several minutes of silence from her, she turned her gaze to him, looking decided. "I've decided on Fennekin. Final answer," she said with a grin.
