Vaena rolled her eyes at the dopey earthling she was carting around. Like she could believe that. She had heard the tales of the monsters that had invaded. He didn't look like a monster, definitely not the ones that were rumored, but if the monsters came from the mainland, his kind would have to be just as bad to handle them over there.
"And how would those animals get over to the other side if they're not being stolen by your kind?" She scoffed. Or did he forget that there's an ocean between Yael and the rest of the world?
He was getting heavier on her. she wasn't quite sure that he was going to make it all the way to the healer at this rate. She pushed him up and higher onto her shoulder. "We're almost there." She muttered. Once at the healers he wouldn't be her problem anymore.

Nuri was silent for a long moment, his head fuzzy as he tried to piece together where they were going. Swallowing some more, he took a breath before catching up with the conversation once again.
"There's no way we can control everyone's actions-" He mumbled before letting out a grunt as she lifted him, and he made an effort to push himself up as well to not lean all over her, "We need to make sure good outweighs evil..."
Then, as he saw them approach and she spoke up, he took a deep breath and tried to fully walk to help them move faster.

Vaena could feel the man on her shoulder try to lift his weight off of her slightly, and from a quick glance she could tell that he was trying his best to stay awake. Well it was almost over. They were nearly at the healer's door.
She knocked and waited to be greeted. The aging healer took one quick glance to Vaena and what she had with her before his face seemed to glaze over with concealed panic. "Please sir, you have to help him. He's been bitten by a keldari." She lead Nuri to a chair in the entry way before quickly ducking out from under him. She could see the healer wasn't pleased. He almost looked like he wasn't going to welcome him. "Well... I..." the healer was trailing off.
"You have to, isn't that what you've proclaimed your life to? C'mon, you can't leave him with me to die." She huffed and muttered under her breath. The healer seemed to be weighing his actions, his head shaking slightly before he sighed. "Yes, you're right." He finally admitted. He motioned for Nuri to follow him to the back, ready to treat his bite.
"There. Now you won't die, and it won't be on my conscience." Vaena said to Nuri.

Nuri stumbled into the chair, and watched as the two Yaeli seemed to argue over his health. It'd be quite the thing if he ended up not being treated after coming to this village, getting judged by everyone else, and being forced to deal with the intolerant Vaena. As the healer seemed to finally accept his responsibility, Nuri turned toward the girl.
"Thank you again for your help..."
Although he was grateful, he really hoped that he'd never see her again.

Vaena nodded her head to Nuri, accepting the thank you with a curt. "You're welcome." Vaena left the healer's home and looked back just once to make sure the man was going to do right and treat the outsider's injury.
She nodded her head to the scene of the healer helping Nuri up and out of view of the window. "Good." she said to no one in particular before returning to her water jugs by the well to resume life as normal once more.
