Sylvite's crying hit Chrysocolla like a brick, and the distress was plain on her face; she moved to the other girl, tentatively reaching out to put a hand on her shoulder. "I'm sorry, I didn't know it was going to do that --" The hand never landed, partly out of fear for what the pinkette might do, partly because she felt awful. "My magic isn't reliable, I never know what it's going to do...!" Oh, to hell with it -- she lurched forward and held Sylvite in an awkward hug, sniffling. "...Y-you don't want to be a senshi. It sucks. It really sucks. I wish I was like you, Sylvite...it'd make everything so much easier." I wouldn't have lost all my memories, but that went unsaid - she didn't need to burden Sylvite with it. Didn't need to bother anyone. Not anyone at all. (Her memories hadn't even been great, probably, anyways. Why did she keep worrying? Why was she such an idiot?!)

"Shut up!" said Sylvite, her voice muffled as she curled even tighter into a ball. Chrysocolla had the hair and the magic and an outfit that just screamed magic, even the holes on her body were kinda pretty and really interesting. She wouldn't understand. Sylvite had none of that, and it was killing her. She flinched at the hug and raised her head just enough to turn and glare at the other girl. And she was being all humble about it, too, like she was the one who didn't have anything. Disgusting. ...And then, a moment later, something snapped and she was feeling... okay. Not as bubbly and happy as she had been, but the disappointment was gone, and the jealousy was reduced to just a twinge. "Okay," she said. "I think I'm okay. Woah. I'm really sorry, that was... really bad." She stared at the ground, not able to make eye contact quite yet, because having someone see you at your worst within a few minutes of meeting you was... horrible, and worse when you'd liked them. "Was that your magic? It was, um... cool. I mean, it would be really good if you were fighting! Um... but could you maybe not use it on me again? ...Ever?"

Chrysocolla sniffled, retracting herself out of Sylvite's personal space with pulled-in shoulders and her hands close to her chest. She'd expected this, really, she didn't know why she'd even gone through with her magic; this was all it ever did, make people hate her. And it wasn't like they needed any help with it. (What she wanted to say was 'you asked me to use it, I didn't want to, I don't ever know what it does to people and you asked for it' -- but she didn't. That wasn't nice. And Chrysocolla was a nice person.) "I-it's. Usually pretty nasty." She winced sympathetically. "Sometimes it doesn't really do anything, but...sometimes it does -- that. Actually, I have a couple of bucks...would you like to get hot chocolate? I mean -- as repayment for, um, putting up with my magic and not hating me after."

Slowly, Sylvite turned around to peek over her shoulder. "Repayment would be, like... not hating me for freaking out at you." She turned the rest of her body halfway, so she was sitting on the bench like a normal person, half-smiling. "I should've believed you when you said it messed people up... but... wow! It was cool, really, I just gotta remember next time to have people show off their magic on our enemies, instead." She finally looked up, making full eye contact with Chrysocolla for a moment. "I'm not gonna turn down hot chocolate, though!" Then she was moving again, ducking down and around the bench to power down. Was she particularly well hidden? No, but there wasn't really anyone else around, so... She stood back up as Alexa, not because she was feeling the need to be normal but because she had pockets. "I have some money, too, so we can get cupcakes, too, if we go to that cafe... or like, muffins for you, I guess? I'm sure they have stuff that's not sweet... " She walked around the bench and waited for the other girl. Daekie Fin for me, unless you want to elaborate on their cafe adventures

"Oh, um -- I'd be totally good with cupcakes, that's fine...! I just don't really like lollipops --" with that, Chrysocolla's henshin stripped away in a soft glow, revealing Poppy Sedgwick, hands nervously fiddling in front her. Like this, it seemed almost too obvious that she'd been Chrysocolla the whole time, even if the Meadowview uniform didn't hug her body in the same way her fuku did...but that was the magic at work, of course. That was, after all, what it did.She stood up from the bench and offered Alexa a gentle hand. "Actually, I don't know if we're talking about the same cafe...how about you take us whereever you're talking about, and I'll tell you if I've been there before?" stari_maga for how the tables turn, would you like to have had sylvite and chrysocolla captured while patrolling with each other? razz also fin
