Surprised, but thankful, for Caper taking the initiative to gather the string, Silas turned the snowflake a few times in his hold. Some of the glitter sprinkled off in the process, making him quickly stop and place it down. Maybe it still needed to dry...
When his friend returned, he gratefully accepted the string with a soft 'thank you'. The suggestions were much appreciated as well, as he gently slipped the string through his fingers, pondering where to place it. Fixing it on the snowflake sounded like the best idea, since he could tie it too tight and cut the paper accidentally. Picking up the little glue bottle again, he made a tiny little dot at the top of one of the snowflakes points, and gingerly pressed the string to it. There.
Sitting back with a silent sigh of relief, he looked over to Caper's, "where.... are you going to.. h-hang yours..?" he asked slowly. It really was so lovely~

Caper watched quietly as Silas worked before turning back to his own ornaments. He hummed shortly, sucking in his lower lip as he thought about the other's question. "We have a fireplace at our house. I'll ask my Mom to hang them there," he decided, kicking a foot idly. He could already imagine them on the mantle among Evan's other knickknacks.
Caper picked up his shape, smiling as it dangled from his chubby fingers. He glanced to Silas again, expression very thoughtful. "Are you going to wrap yours? There's some big paper. You just have to fold it like an envelope and tape it, and it's like a present." He smiled wider, large pink eyes bright.
His gaze instead drifted to the glue and glittered newspaper that they had down on the table. Caper made a soft sound, setting his ornaments down in the middle before grabbing the edge. He smiled wider, looking to the blond. "Or we can use this stuff. Since you already made it all pretty!" It was unintentional, but it didn't mean that had not been the result!

A fireplace... that was a nice place to put it. Those were always so cozy to curl up with, too, and read a nice book. Smiling faintly, he nodded subtly to show his agreement in the placement choice. It would look perfect there~
Watching as the decoration was hoisted up for a full view, he sat upright a little more when another idea was proposed. Wrap it... he hadn't even thought of that. Looking over to the mentioned supplied paper, his lips pressed lightly, and brows drew a bit with concern. Would he be able to make an effective envelope? He'd nearly destroyed his snowflake, after all. Glittered coated fingers fiddled with one another in thought, eyes dropping to his lap. What if he messed that up too...?
But he was drawn out of his declining state of mind with the creative little Caper's even newer thought! Use the glitter infested newspaper for wrapping... yes! That was a grand idea! perking up, he nodded with a sense of eagerness to it, curls bouncing lightly in the motion, "y-yes that.. is a good idea, Caper.." he softly praised his friend. His own hands lifted to gingerly start pulling the newspaper into a better position, stopping as he realized... how did he fold it into an envelope. Blush returning he timidly peeked at Caper, voice even tinier, "h-how... do I... make a-a envelope...?"

There was a piece for both of them, and he freed the bottom most sheet in order to drag it over to his portion of the table. He set his ornament down on it gently, violet gaze sweeping to Silas slowly. "You just, ah, bring it all together and then tape it?" Truthfully, Caper didn't have a very solid idea on how adults managed to do the fancy wrapping either.
Picking up one of the corners, he pushed down a solid crease so that the newspaper would stay as he tried with the second corner. The newspaper was awfully big, but with a little bit of tucking and double wrapping, he didn't think it would be a total problem. "You just gotta... stick it really good," the Geist murmured, sticking a long strip of tape across the one corner, his envelope more or less a triangle. It was a start. "As long as they can't see inside, I think it's okay?"

His eyes were glued to Caper's hands as they worked to make the desired envelope. He mirrored the movements, with great care, gaze flickering over to his work to make sure each fold was crisp and perfectly lined. This slowed down the process for him, of course, making him lag a little from Caper's progress.
But eventually he caught up with a few more peeks at the steps that his buddy had done, ending up with the same enclosure as he! Feeling relieved, his shoulders relaxed, and his lips were less pressed now. Holding up the little package of paper, he showed it to the Geist for a look over, "done..?" they'd done so much, after all. What more was there to do for these? Gifts were still a very new concept, to him. But he liked them... making them, however, was proving to be a challenge.

Caper finished up his wrapping, using a little more tape than really needed as he made sure it all stuck securely despite his less than perfect angles. As he finished, the Geist turned over his package in his hands. Caper put on a new smile, nodding some in confirmation. He was done too, and he was pleased with the progress that both him and Silas had made.
"Now I just gotta take mine home to my Mom, and you gotta wait for your Dads to give it to them." His smile was encouraging, and he dragged his fingers over the edge of the table. "The best part of presents is actually giving them," the Freshling assured, reaching to begin to gather the supplies they had used in order to take them back.

He relaxed a bit more. They were done. Phew. That'd been more stressful than he'd ever could have imagined. But hopefully the end result would be worth it in the end.
Gingerly holding the precious present in his small hands, he placed it with great care onto the table to assist in the clean up. Toddling after Caper to place away the materials, he nodded along, "t-thank you for... your help, C-caper..." would his dads really like his little creation...? Caper seemed sure, so it must be true. Such a thought made it impossible for a tiny little smile to wriggle onto his face. His first present for the dads that finally gave him the family he'd never thought he'd have.
