                              Nadezhda and Akane walked beside one another, the latter being slightly behind the former. The two had been strolling around the school grounds for some time, getting to know the layout. Akane sometimes didn't have the greatest memory, so Nadezhda was taking her around the school. It was a routine the vampire was used to and something that she wasn't about to give up. She glanced over to the fire elemental with gray eyes, secretly worrying about her. This was, for both of them, their first year here at Ashhaven Academy and Nadezhda wanted to make sure that her friend was going to make it through.
                              The two were close, closer than most friends that she knew of. This was thanks to an incident that took place four years ago, an incident that neither of them wanted to discuss with anyone. Nadezhda couldn't be in the same classes as Akane and was concerned about how her friend was going to make it through.                               Hopefully, she's going to sit near more girls than boys. If a class has mostly boys... She quickly brushed aside the thought, not wanting Akane to panic right before classes were going to start. Akane looked over toward the slender vampire and noticed the expression on her face.
                              "Something up, Nana?" She asked in her soft voice. Nadezhda was broken from her thoughts when Akane spoke and put on a smile.
                              "Nothing, really. It's just that...I'm wondering how classes are going to go today."
                              "The teachers are probably going to go over the syllabus and introduce us to the other students. It's like high school, just...in a more open environment."
                              "Yeah, you're probably right." Akane chuckled to herself as Nadezhda adjusted the strap on her left shoulder. It seemed as if Akane was in good spirits, she noted. It may have been due to the fire elemental going on her first run at the new school. Some of Nadezhda's worry dissipated as she noticed her friend smiling and enjoying herself. She was seriously tempted to hug her, but resisted and the two continued to walk through the school greens.
