When he returned (still shimmering in places), his eyes locked on to the card. Trying to look casual, he approached, picked it up and read the contents.
With a sigh, he sought out his brother into the kitchen and said nothing, not even when he lifted a hoof as if to punch. Then, very slowly, tapped Tough on the shoulder. “Love you too,” he said with a grin. “My one punch has been redeemed.”
After all, they were brothers. They could fight and not like each other, they could dislike each others habits and get frustrated but in the end, they were still family and they could still love each other. Not to mention not talking to your brother for the rest of your life would be difficult when you slept in the same room.
“Stand aside. I’ll make the snacks. I picked up these great vegan crackers the other day. I’ll pop some avocado on top. You’re going to love it!”
Wildlfour was going to do his best not to shove his ideals down Tough Talker’s throat. Instead he’d just introduce slowly and maybe one day, they’d see eye to eye.
