Lin frowned, looked around him at the trees and then shook his head.
It didn't seem like he disbelieved Oliver- he seemed to consider the idea- but also seemed to arrive at the conclusion he still didn't like it.
"Yeah, maybe. But I like /these/ trees." He insisted; he seemed to have decided Firefly was 'okay' for the moment, even if Jeeves clearly hadn't.

"Nothing wrong with liking these trees. They probably have loggers come in to take care of the dead fall so you don't have the possibility of a out of control forest fire." Oliver paused and snorted.
"I'm having a discussion with a boy in a tree about proper park management.... this is a bit surreal," he muttered to himself. "Are you going to come down?" He asked Lin.

Lin shrugged.
"Them and the pokémon around here know how to care for the forest. I, and some of my friends, use what we need too. I don't think people set these on fire. I like that they don't."
He tilted his head at Oliver, giving him a look that suggested he'd said something very odd.
"Why would I come down? I can hear you, you can hear me, and I /like/ this tree..."

"You," Oliver said, looking at Lin with some amusement. "Are very, very odd."Though he had come to that conclusion when meeting him. "I'll leave you to your tree," he added and with a snap of his fingers, set off to continue his walk.
Firefly gave a lazy yawn and followed, tail swishing. <> he called.

"Alright," Lin shrugged off being called 'very very odd' quite happily and raised a hand in a wave "see ya then! Nice to meet you!"
He smiled at his pokémon, as Oliver moved off.
"Well, they seemed alright?"
Jeeves rolled his eyes and scoffed disapprovingly.
He did not agree.
