She was appalled. "My daughter would never spit in someones face unless she wanted to get punished." Ilyra might already be a grown woman, but that didn't mean that Briella wouldn't give her a thrashing if she was ever so rude to someone who didn't warrant it. "Like I said I think she will be willing to meet with you, it's just a really bad time for her. Her girlfriend of many years, and former best friend, is gone without a trace and it is hitting her hard."
She nodded when asked about the inn. "Yes, it takes all kinds. If you want I can show you where it is so you can bring along your friend later?"

"Oh no, that's awful." Mnyiri had faced loss in her life, certainly, and she could sympathize with that sort of mindset. Sure, she'd never been in love, but if it felt anything like losing a mother then her heart went out to her sister.
Sitting back, the young hybrid nodded her head. "That sounds solid. If I can figure out the way then I can go back to get Rho-" All at once a great, bright blue lump landed on her back, almost forcing Mnyiri to drop the sprite in her hands. The brilliantly cerulean sailscale clung onto her shoulders as a child might, peeping over her shoulder to take a look at what was going on. Her maw was still full of sweet fruit bits, with the sticky juice seeping out onto Mnyiri's shoulder.
"Jioni, you jerk, get off! That's so gross."
The sailscale didn't seem to mind, and instead settled into a more comfortable position.

Briella nodded. "Yes it's shaken her up pretty bad. Loss is never an easy thing." Coming back from being gone for so long and then spending so little time with her girlfriend had all but ruined Ilyra, but maybe meeting Mnyiri was exactly what Ilyra needed. Maybe this would help get her up on her feet and make her realize that the world is still out there.
Briella was taken aback when the sailscale dropped down onto Mnyiri. However thankfully it wasn't a mistake and the creature seemed to belong to Mnyiri. Amadi screeched at the creature before flying over to Briella and hiding in his hair, not stopping his chittering while he did so.
"I see you found what you were looking for, and she seems to have found what I was looking for."

Mnyiri straightened up, hands reaching nimbly around behind her to gently pry Jioni off her back and pull the sailscale in to her lap. She ran soft, affectionate fingers across her head fin, eliciting a pleasant sound from the creature. Jioni didn't seem too concerned with Amadi's reaction, though; if anything she was blissfully ignorant to anything outside of her master's coddling.
"She's a pain in the butt, but Jioni's my sweet girl." Mnyiri cooed, speaking in baby talk the entire time. "She'll show us the way to the fruit, and then you can show me the way to the inn."
Everything seemed to be working out and that should be something to celebrate, right? She was so close to getting what she'd been searching for, but...Mnyiri's nerves were peeked. All sorts of 'what ifs' were beginning to stake their claim in her mind, causing the normally confident and bull headed youth to question.
"Can you maybe...not tell her what I look like? I know that seems weird, but I kind of want it to be a surprise. For both of us. I mean, we've never met you know, and it would be pretty neat to see someone else who kinda looked like me. ....if we look similar at all." After all, her height she'd gained from Ysmir and Mnyiri was already pretty busty, even in her youth. How tall was Illyra? What did she look like? Were their noses the same, or their cheekbones? Or were they completely different?

Briella knew how that went. Amadi was more then just a pain in the butt sometimes, but she wouldn't trade him for anything in the world. Her was hers and she was his, there was no other man for her.
Briella nodded at Mnyiri's offer. "That sounds good to me. The inn isn't far off, so it shouldn't take long for me to take you there once she shows us where the fruit is."
At the girls request she laughed lightly. It was a small one, and silly it seemed. "That's not a problem. I'm sure she will ask, she's curious like that, but I will tell her no."
She wanted to tell the girl that they did look similar, but she would save that for when they met face to face. Best to be a surprise for both of them.
Painted Moose If you want when we finish this one we can do Mnyiri and Ilyra! I can even start it tomorrow if you want, since we're pretty much done with this one!

a pet dino We can call it fin here if you want and if you wouldn't mind starting up the next one that would be great. c:
"Well, let's go then, no time like the present!" Mnyiri stood up on the branch, the little bells in her dreads chiming out a little rhythmic melody with each movement. She reached for the branch above her head, and hoisted herself up in a far less graceful motion than her winged companion. But Mnyiri was determined; the faster they found the fruit, the faster they could go to the inn and see her sister.
And that prospect made her excited beyond words.
