Fi jumped when Kai touched her. If it weren't for how hard she was concentrating on the waste bin, he'd have been covered in... well ew. She shuddered at the thought and kept moving. "Please no salad. Green, not greens." She frowned, disposing of contents into another place to dispose of contents. She was going to have to take this down to wash it out. Oh well, not a huge issue, just a stinky waste bin until then.
"Any green fruits or something?" She called, thinking about the color green again.

Caught slightly off guard with her uncharacteristic response, he nodded and stepped back. There was a lot to think about though, he couldn't hold that against her. "Y-yeah. I'll grab what green things there are downstairs and be back before you know." Kaiden started walking backwards towards the door as he spoke, a hand reaching up to comb through his green hair. "Anything else while I'm out?"

"I think green is all... Thank you Kai.." Fi meant it. She was a little really overwhelmed with what might be going on right that moment. Her ears were drooping just a little, her hair had managed to get mussed even more. She looked terrible, it was a wonder she didn't feel as bad as she looked. "Kaaaai?" She had an idea, hoping he wasn't gone yet.
By the time she'd stuck her head out of the bathroom, he'd already gone. She frowned, sticking her lip out a little with it. Okay, she needed to get some stuff together and ready for him to come back. The orange fauness pondered what to do and finally settled on something she thought he'd enjoy as much as she did.
With only one trip to the bathroom, Fi managed to pull together a really cozy room full of blankets and pillows and low lighting. They could snuggle and maybe lead somewhere else. And even if it didn't lead anywhere else, it was still really nice to snuggle up in. They could take the day easy like he wanted her to, and they could be together. It wasn't until she was going to wait by the door she remembered to tuck the waste basket into the room somewhere he wouldn't see it. Or smell it if they were lucky. A shudder and a shake of her hips later, she was waiting by the door, dressed up and looking a lot better than she had when he'd first come home.

When the door closed behind him, he stopped for a moment with a deep sigh.
Pregnant.
Even if he denied it, it was out there now. And if she was...there was a lot of emotions to deal with it. Anxiety, fear, guilt...there was a spark of excitement, but it was buried under all the anxiety. How could he be a good parent, when he grew up practically without one?
I don't have to worry about it, because she's not pregnant. He thought pointedly before shoving his feelings deep down. Greens were his priority now. The male trotted down the stairs to the dining hall, just catching the tail end of breakfast. He grabbed a plate and started piling it with all the green items he could find. A green apple, green vegetables, grapes, even a green pepper. When he couldn't pile the plate any higher, he started back towards Fi's room. Hopefully this would calm her stomach.
Only problem was when he got to her door, his hands were full. With a pause and a frown, the male tilted his head back before knocking with his forehead. "I'm back Fi!"

Fi grinned, opening the door wide when she heard him knock. How long was he going to keep knocking on the door when he knew he was welcome inside her alcove any time he wanted to visit? "Kaiden!" Her grin had grown into a smile. Clearly she was feeling worlds different from when he left. She'd even picked out a different outfit to wear that didn't look or smell anything like what had just gone down.
"Lots of... very green stuff." She laughed, holding out her hands in an offer to help him carry some of it.

He was expecting to see her much in the same condition as when he left. Hair messy, tired, slightly grouchy. But to his surprise when the door open, she looked as bright and glowing as ever. "I wanted to be sure not to get it wrong." He spoke a little sheepishly, letting her take some of the food before shuffling in after her. "You look so much...better..." He trailed off, spotting the cozy little nest of blankets and pillows. Instantly he grinned as wide as his face would go. "I like it."

Fi grinned, popping a grape into her mouth as she walked. "Green~" It wasn't exactly what she wanted, but it was most certainly an improvement. "I feel... Kinda better." She nodded, walking towards the nest. "Yay! I made it up just for you~" Fi cooed, tail flicking a little. She wasn't feeling 100 percent better, but it was a serious improvement. The orange fauness was most certainly up for some snuggling and green noms munching.

He leaned over to give Fi a quick cheek kiss before plopping down on a plush pillow. "That's so sweet. Come sit next to me and let Medic Kai feed you some greens." He chuckled warmly, hoping to provide some TLC.

She laughed a little, snuggling up next to him. At least for a moment. It took her a little more time than usual to get comfortable. What was wrong with her? "Oh Medic Kai, how on this great isle am I going to get better?" She asked, teasing, having finally settled on a mostly comfortable spot. Her stomach was settled, at least enough to enjoy a good nibble or two on something deliciously green.

He draped an arm around her when she snuggled up against him and took up an apple slice. Slowly he raised it up to her lips. "Rest, fluids, and a little bit of snuggling love." He would be more than happy to provide the last.

That's right, she had something she wanted to tell him before he left. She nibbled on the offered apple, licking his fingers. "Does loving you help?" Fi asked, careful to phrase it. They liked each other, but did he know she loved him?
Orange fingers gently twisted through Kai's green fur, across his chest and under his arm to snuggle her against him.

When she licked his fingers, he gently tapped her nose, his smile softening with affection. "Of course. Love heals all." It brought another serious thought. He really liked her, he knew that for the entire time they had been together.
But did he love her?
As she snuggled up against him, hand tangling in his fur, it was an answer that was rather clear to him.

"Good, because I love you~" She blushed, trying not to look embarrassed about the admission. She really did love him. Fi squirmed, hiding her face. She didn't think she need to hear him say it back, but she was pretty positive she wanted to at least hear an acknowledgement of it.

Despite him knowing what the conversation skirted, despite their cozy placement in snuggling, her words caught him off guard. She actually said it.
His silver eyes flicked down at her burrowed into him, avoiding eye contact. Today was a rather serious day for their relationship, with thinking about pregnancy and now, this. He swallowed hard and moved his free hand to catch the bottom of her chin. Bringing her head up to look at him.
"That's good...because I love you too."
And if she was pregnant...which he doubted...but if she was. He'd be there for her and their kids.

When his fingers touched her chin, Fi knew something was about to be said. She looked at him, mimicking a deer caught in the lights, shocked to hear he felt the same way. Why wouldn't he have? Especially after they'd been so close...
"Kaiden~" A smile broke out over her face, the shock of admission gone. Replaced with the overwhelming joy that could only be brought by a loved one. All the sick that had her so out of her mind was the last thing on her mind as she peppered his face, neck, ears, anything she could reach really, with kisses.
