You're not sorry, Chrysocolla thought, preventing the words from passing her lips. None of you are. You take children and train them to kill. But she didn't say that -- she'd already screwed up her chances with Cybele by being aggressive, at first. Maybe, if she tried hard enough and was gentle enough, she could bring Cybele in for corruption one day. And what a prize she would be: she'd look so beautiful in blacks. "I just - I don't like seeing people cry," she continued to fret, pouting. "Please don't cry." "I don't know why you think all of this about the Negaverse, but we don't mean to hurt anyone except you. Other people...it happens. But only your people are the people we want to fight." She crossed her arms over her chest, shifting her weight from foot to foot. "Sometimes, the people in charge are extremists. But that's not why any of us join. We join to protect our planet..and youma are accidents. They hurt, and they hurt so much they can't do anything but suffer...but they try." There was a true gentleness behind her words, an absolute belief and loyalty: whatever Cybele said, it wouldn't be enough.

She spent a few moments collecting herself at the request, this time fairly successfully. "I know these things because I've seen them happen. I've heard what you're saying before. I've believed it, even, but then I walked into a carnival that the Negaverse turned into a massacre. That was three years ago. Things haven't gotten better," she said, firmly but without too much excess emotion. There were more stories she could tell, and more facts she could list, but she knew they wouldn't do any good. She could see that the Negaverse was telling its warped truths to Chrysocolla, and she knew that Chaos was very persuasive. Cybele had been on the verge of corruption, herself, for a while, but that had been a long time ago. Now, even though her eyes were red with emotion, there was a hardness to her gaze. She was not buying any lies today. Chrysocolla, on the other hand, was in no position to resist them. They'd taken her memories, and Order was treating her as an enemy, not somebody to warn about the darkness. Cybele was trying, but it was no good. She'd never been good at talking, and her emotions weren't helping. Even if she knew what she was doing, it probably wouldn't matter. She'd talked Merlinite into purification through sheer luck only for him to show up a few months later as a youma. Remembering that made her frown deepen. You're right. There are good people in the Negaverse. They get broken.Anyway, there wasn't much more to say. It was stalemate. Their conversation was about to start going in circles, and that just led to frustration and usually a fight. "I know you don't believe me," she said. "That's... something I can accept. I'll go home, like you wanted." She inhaled shakily one last time, then stood up. "Just..." What? Question the Negaverse? It was clear that she wouldn't. A bit of her mentor spirit returned, and she smiled ever so slightly. "Be careful, all right?" Daekie ...This avi is your fault.

"Things have gotten better," she shot back, pouting. "We're not run by the same people. Our General-Queen is one of the most ingenuitive people I've ever met...I know you want to believe we're all bad, we're all evil, so you can feel good about what you do to us - but we're all fighting to free the Earth from alien influence. You...have to crack a few eggs, I guess." Anything Cybele said would never be enough. Not anymore. Maybe when Warhol had been freshly corrupted, mind scrubbed clean, antsy from hanging around in halls of dark crystal for weeks: maybe it would have worked, then; but that chance was so long gone. And even if Chrysocolla did ever contemplate purification, going back -- it would take half her memories with it, and -- God knew she had precious few already. What she had, she intended to hang onto. They couldn't pull her back if she didn't want to be one of them ever again. "...I'll be careful. Thank you." She gave a little faux-curtsey to Cybele, waving gently. "I know it's hard to accept you're wrong, but if you ever want help...I patrol around here every week." stari_maga YOU'RE WELCOME :3c if you ever want to get cybele force-corrupted you know where to turn~ chrysocolla would be DELIGHTED to bring her home! wrap on yr post?

Chrysocolla was starting to get her arguments mixed up. Our leaders can be extremists, she'd just said, but now it was Our leaders are new and so smart and you should trust them! That was what their arguments were always like, as far as she could tell- whatever people would buy. Ingenuity has never been the problem with the Negaverse, anyway, Cybele thought. I doubt their morality has improved. Although like Chrysocolla said, perhaps not every individual in the Negaverse was bad, in general she'd seen them do far crueler things than Order. She frowned at the 'aliens' comment as it made her think back to the last agent who had accused the senshi of trying to take over the city, the young one, not much older than Chrysocolla, the one who was terrible at fighting. The one she'd killed. Her side wasn't perfect and she knew it, but now wasn't the time to think about that. She shook her head and reminded herself that she would only be worse with the Negaverse's Chaos running though her, which was something she firmly believed. It was clear by how they'd treated Warhol that they were the same organization that she'd been fighting all these years. "No. I said that I accept that you are wrong. It's completely different. Don't pretend I believe you." Nothing had changed in her gaze, either. She'd seen a lot, and a few words, even from a turned ally, were not going to change her mind. "Goodbye, Wa-..." She bit her tongue. "Goodbye." Then she walked away before the girl could respond, her aura vanishing as soon as she was out of sight. Daekie Chrysocolla can certainly try~ (like, seriously, I would love to plot something) but it's not going to happen- the Negaverse already has plenty of hunters. Also fin.
