Thrymr's head rose at the mention of a castle, but it was Crims' hand around his wrist that made their expression soften even further, the contact far from unwelcome. They turned fully back to face the other, not pulling away, instead just letting themselves look up a the pale face.

"I find all Wonders beautiful," said Thrymr truthfully. "Some are perhaps...less bright than Thrymr is; Mont Blonc's is rather dismal, I suppose, but it still holds appeal in certain places, as I'm sure yours does as well. There is still beauty even in darkness."

The sadness, however small, was met with more distress, because the last thing that Thrymr wanted was to see Crims this way. Crims had released their wrist to mess with his uniform, and now it was Thrymr that reached out, catching ahold and gently pulling so that his fingers would hopefully still.

"There is no need to put on a face with me," said Thrymr softly. "I will not think less of you, no matter what. I am very happy when you are happy. But..." A sigh passed through their lips. "I cannot say that I do not understand. I love this place as much as I ever could, Thrymr is my home, but there are times when I wish I could...do more."

Thoughts flitted in and out of Thrymr's head, distant, abstract once. They gave a little squeeze to Crims' fingers absentmindedly, Thrymr momentarily lost in thought before dragging out of their head again.

"What would you do, then?" they asked. "If you could leave?"

"I'll show you my castle," Crims promised quietly, "and perhaps you can help it shine a little more brightly."

The squire turned his hand over in Thrymr's and pressed their palms together, lined their fingers up. "I know," he whispered, face falling slightly as his gaze fixed upon their hands. It was easier than looking at the senshi, who was kind and sweet, who was many things he was not. "It's easier, it's what I've been taught."

Samuel had always believed that displaying one's emotions gave too much away, it made a person weak. Crims couldn't afford to be readable in battle, not if lives her at stake.

"I don't mean to burden you Thrymr." His smile was weak, half-hearted in his attempt to keep from hiding things from them. "I think I would travel, see the universe. Do something revolutionary for those that can't." He shrugged when he reached for their other hand.

The quiet promise and the following words made a little smile tug at the corners of Thrymr's lips, a very faint tinge of pink dusting across pale cheeks out of pleasure. It was such a sweet sentiment that it seemed to soften and settle into Thrymr's heart, a physical warmth that spread outwards.

Slender fingers, smaller than Crims, pressed against the offered ones before Thrymr slid them carefully and neatly in between, fitting in the spaces. They slowly curled, until they were interlaced, holding lightly, but Thrymr's eyes had not lowered from Crims' face, even if Crims' gaze was not on them.

"I've been taught otherwise as well," said Thrymr softly. "But here, with me, you do not have to stand on ceremony. We are too close for that."

Their head shook, a few wisps of hair sliding across their forehead, and Thrymr allowed his other hand to be taken too, repeating the same process as he had with the first; a natural instinct. "You could never burden me," they said firmly, and gave the hands holding theirs a squeeze. "Never."

A breath was taken, Thrymr pressing their lips together in silent contemplation, a growing sense of sadness and frustration welling in their chest.

"Travel now, if you can," whispered Thrymr. "I wish you could have everything that you wish for. If I could give you it, I would."

Their fingers laced together and Crims lifted his head, looking at Thrymr earnestly. He stooped down so he could press his forehead against theirs.

"What would I do without you?"

Crims had people he was close to, but each of his relationships were unique. Intimacy was not something he was accustomed to nor was vulnerability but he was willing, trying to allow Thrymr see those pieces of him. His friend was gentle where he was rough, compassionate where he was apathetic. Contrast that he wished to soften. if he could.

"I do not know about that, but," he paused, pulled back to place a soft chaste kiss to their forehead. "Know that I appreciate you and what you offer me. I could only hope that you know that I would like to be here for you in all the way you wish to be here for me."

It might be harder for him, to be supportive where he needed to, but Crims was willing to try. He wanted to be there in whatever ways he was capable of.

"I can't, not unless Saturn permits it. Crims is too valuable to stray too far."

Oh how he hated the nature of his knighthood.

A soft laugh echoed between them, gentle in nature. Thrymr pushed up a little on their tiptoes so that Crims would not have to stoop quite so much, anklets jangling merrily, the long, sleeveless flowing robes worn falling in shades around their slender figure.

"Have a sincere lack of the color pink in your life," Thrymr whispered, but it was spoken with a gentle teasing, an affection in their eyes that could not be hidden. Crims might not have been too accustomed with physical intimacies, but that was an area where Thrymr thrived - casual touches and warm embraces were what they sought out, little signs of communication and affection without words.

The kiss to their forehead made Thrymr's eyes flutter shut briefly, a breath escaping.

"Every way," said Thrymr softly. "You mean a great deal to me."

They did not often give so much of themselves to someone else. As open and adoring as Thrymr was, both physically and verbally, there was always something held back; an acute awareness that letting go of the walls built around them would result in something a great deal more frightening.

It was hard to hold onto those walls with someone like Crims, whom Thrymr had learned, over the past while of knowing him, was already finding a place within Thrymr's heart.

Another laugh escaped, tinged with a hint of sadness.

"Perhaps one day, we shall both escape together," said Thrymr, and a hand tugged free and reached up, Thrymr tilting their head back to look up at Crims, and this time the touch was not as light as before. Thrymr's palm rested against Crims' cheek, feeling the warmth beneath their hand.

"You and I will travel the worlds together one day."

The comment made the squire grin, a soft chuckle leaving his lips.

"Would you believe me if I told you that pink is supposedly my color?" He asked, warm and affectionate as he thought of his days spent on the asteroid Iris, one of the few things they'd afforded him when he reached squire. "There's an entire asteroid who specializes in color, every single merchant I dealt with there tried to sell me something pink."

He dressed in lavenders and purples because those were the colors of the knights of Saturn, but there were times where he'd fish out the garbs Iris had acquired for him and dressed in them, for nostalgia reasons.

"I only left with one piece of clothing, but when you come to Crims I could show it to you, perhaps then you can tell me if it's truly my color." His gaze dropped to the pink that wrapped around Thrymr. "It's certainly your color," he affirmed, squeezing their linked hands.

"If I get the chance Thrymr, I'll take you anywhere in the universe that you want to go." Crims promised, leaning into the hand against his cheek. "I'll have a great ship, maybe a whole fleet of them, and I'll steal you away until you want to come back."

Another laugh escaped Thrymr's throat, soft and amused.

"I think every color is your color," they said teasingly. "I wouldn't mind seeing you in the colors of Thrymr, I think you'd look quite fetching, actually. Maybe it's secretly your calling in life, so when I do come visit Crims next, I can help you with that."

Eyes twinkling, Thrymr's hand was steady against the squire's face, expression shifting to something a little sadder, but still maintaining the affection that had not left yet. There was something so very dear about this man that made Thrymr wish him much more happiness than he had been given.

"Please do," they said softly. "I would be glad to be stolen away by you. We'll have ourselves an entire armada of ships and see the all the worlds there are to see."

Slender fingers slid a bit lower, against Crims' jaw now, thumb gently smoothing over the warm skin. For a moment, there was nothing but silence between them, not uncomfortable, but something softer and gentler than that, a wistful hope, an ache in their chest. Lost in thought, in a wish and a hope that would most likely never be realized, Thrymr let their fingers ghost absently over Crims' lips, though did not touch, hovering above.

"I like it when you smile," Thrymr said quietly, and let their hand drop away slowly. "I wish there was something I could do to see it more; your entire being seems to glow when you do."

"You think?" He arched a brow, eyes sweeping across Thrymr's dress again. "How about this, I'll let you dress me up in whatever colors you see fit the next time I get to visit, then we can properly judge if I can wear them half as well as you do." His hazel eyes lifted to meet blue ones.

The corners of his lips quirked downward as their expression shifted. "Hey," he started, voice low, "don't look so sad, you'll break my heart." He caught the hand ghosting over his lips as it dropped with his own, pressed a soft kiss to the palm.

Crims was a man of careful touches, small gestures. Everything he did was with intention, purpose. He did not do things by halves. "Thrymr," he started, more cautiously than needed, "when I get that ship, that fleet, I'll come back for you and show you all my favorite places that I discover along the way."

In truth, Crims didn't know how practical his idea was, but he was resourceful and determined. If he wanted to run and sail the space seas, he'd do it. If Thrymr wanted him to whisk him away, he'd do that too. He wasn't sure there was anything he wouldn't do for the pale haired senshi, if he asked.

Thrymr commented on his smile and one slid across his face, soft and sweet with affection dripping from it. "I'll smile for you," he said, rubbing his thumb in small circles along the inside of their wrist. "As long as you smile for me. How could I not smile at you then?"

The idea was pleasing. "Only if that means you may dress me in the colors of Saturn and Crims," said Thrymr, giving the man's hand a little squeeze. "We can swap; I'll dress in yours, and you may wear the ceremonial dancing clothes."

Their mouth opened and closed as Crims grasped the hand before it fell, and Thrymr felt warmth against the palm, soft and sweet. Crims did not give out such affection easily, nor often, and the very idea that he was doing so now made Thrymr's heart twist with emotion, fingers curling slightly.

"We can't have that, can we?" They whispered softly. "I wish not to break your heart, dear man."

The idea of going off, of Crims and they traveling across the realms in search of beautiful, wonderful things was such a wonderful notion that it was almost overwhelming. Thrymr swayed closer to Crims, inadvertently seeking out that comfort of his presence, simple and sweet, the smile on his face burning brightly.

"Your smile is wonderful," they murmured, and there was one of their own on their face. "It warms me."

"I think lavender would be a lovely color on you," he murmured, reaching for a stray lock of hair with the hand not holding theirs. "I think your white hair would look lovely splayed against the various shades of purple Crims could offer you." He pressed his lips to the pulse-point in their wrist, lips curling into a smirk as he watched their mouth open and close.

"I'm not much of a dancer," he admitted, a bit sheepish, "but I'd wear them, even dance just for you." He pulled back, stood to his full height so he could look down fondly at Thrymr. "No we can't, but I think I'd trust you to piece it back together."

They cared too much to not be willing to put his heart back together if they could, he was sure.

Thrymr swayed closer and Crims stepped forward instinctively, leaving little space between them when he pulled his hands away. He let them hover a bit awkwardly in the air by their hips when he cocked his head.

"I think yours is better," he replied, eyes dropping to their lips and the upward curl of their smile. "Have I told you thank you already? For making my world a brighter place?"

The little touches, the soft gestures made Thrymr's eyes flutter, and the kiss to their wrist only increased the pulse that beat beneath the skin.

"Maybe I should try wearing lavender, then," they said, and Crims had straightened now, tall and proud and the very picture of elegance, Thrymr's gaze sweeping over the impressive figure cut by the Saturn uniform. A little laugh escaped, eyes raising to meet Crims - but when their gazes connected, the look in Thrymr's eyes was unusually serious.

"I would not do anything to hurt your heart, if I could help it," they said softly. "Nothing at all, I swear to it."

There was hardly any room at all between them now. Thrymr kept their eyes on Crims' face, and while Crims' hands hovered, Thrymr's rose, hesitated, then came to a rest, very lightly, on Crims' torso, an almost absentminded gesture.

"I think you are too kind," said Thrymr, quietly, chest tightening. "There is - no need to thank me, your...your presence is more than enough. Your existence is...a gift to me, Crims."

"I'd like to see you in it," he admitted, deciding to fit one hand against Thrymr's hip and to touch the fishtailed braid with his other hand, wrapping the end of it around his hand as he lifted it and pressed his mouth against the silky strands. "Though anything of mine is sure to drown you." He chuckled at the idea of them in his clothing, though he couldn't deny that there was an appeal to the mental image.

"I know you wouldn't," Crims assured him, stretching so he could press their foreheads together again. It wasn't the most comfortable of positions, given their height differences, but the squire didn't seem to mind as he let his eyes close briefly. "I trust you." There was a pause, a hesitation like he wasn't sure he wanted to continue, but he did. "I worry that I will end up hurting you."

Crims wasn't sure if he could keep from hurting those he cared about, he'd never really had anyone he held close to his heart besides his sisters, until he met Iris and Thrymr and Denebola. Still, he couldn't shake the feeling that his wonder would create fractions in the foundations he so desperately clung to now.

His eyes fluttered open and his fingers dropped the braid, hand folding over the ones on his chest when he shook his head. "I'm hardly kind Thrymr, but I make exceptions, for those that I want to hold dear." He didn't get to hold many things tightly, but he wanted Thrymr to be one of them, if he was allowed. "Perhaps we are both lucky then." His chest constricted and sadness penetrated his voice.

There was another gentle kiss pressed to the forehead and then, Crims ducked a little lower and pressed his lips to the senshi's cheek, hovering in that space when he leaned back. "Keep me in your orbit, okay?"

Crims' mere presence, the closeness, was something not explored before, though Thrymr had always been generous in their affections. But this closeness here, the lack of space between them now, the reassuring hand on their hip and the way that Crims had touched his lips to their hair was warm and secure in a way that made their heart constrict.

Foreheads together, they breathed out, eyes momentarily shut, stretching up on tiptoes once more to meet.

A breath caught in their throat.

"No," said Thrymr, almost a whisper. "No, you cannot hurt me, Crims, you will not hurt me."

They couldn't know that, of course. Not for sure, but Thrymr would have gone to his grave fervently denying it, rather than thinking the alternative. There was nothing in the world that could have made their mind change on that matter, none whatsoever.

Warmth covered their fingers, a sadness in Crims' voice that was so achingly disheartening that Thrymr wanted to whisk it away and make it disappear. "You are kind," came the quiet insistence. "You are one of the kindest...dearest men that I know."

Lips brushed their forehead, and then cheek. Thrymr's eyes fell half shut, the soft voice in his ears, familiar and warm and soothing. They turned their head, just slightly, faces scarcely an inch apart, and Thrymr inhaled subconsciously, tracing the lines of Crims' face.

"You already are," they said, and there was a moment's hesitation, drawn out, so that the world around them seemed to drag itself to a halt, time slowing entirely, heart in their throat -

- and then there was no space between them at all, Thrymr daring to close their eyes, lean forward, and press their mouth against Crims'.

"Okay," he breathed, "I won't hurt you."

A promise he had every intention of keeping, even if it ended up hurting him in the end. He'd protect Thrymr's heart the way he knew they would protect and mend his own. "I think you think too highly of me," he sighed, "but I will try to live up to your opinion of me."

His chin tilted, inclined towards Thrymr's mouth with the barest hints of a sly smile on his mouth when they stretched upward and slotted their mouth against his. His breath caught in his throat from surprise, but he didn't pull away.

Instead his eyes closed and he pulled them closer, hand leaving theirs to snake up their neck and thread his fingers into the hair at the base of their neck, pulling undone the braid he'd deftly constructed. He kissed back hard, nipping at their bottom lip when he did pull away. He laughed, a bright laugh, with a large grin across his mouth when he slotted their mouths back together for a second kiss.

Then, when he pulled away, he buried his face in the crook of their neck and places light kisses against the bare flesh. "Thrymr," he breathed against their skin. "You tempt me."

"Not too high," Thrymr said, voice constricted. "Just high enough."

It hadn't been the intention. They had deliberately been reserved when it came to Crims, because the affection that Thrymr gave to people like Mont Blonc and Aegir and Methone was not the same he could give to everyone else. Not everyone was comfortable, not everyone had the same sort of mindset that Thrymr did when it came to physical intimacies.

All thoughts of this, however, were shifted far from his mind the moment that Crims returned the kiss. Thrymr had almost expected him to freeze, or even to pull back, but it was not the case. Instead, the grasp on them tightened, drawing them nearer, and Thrymr felt fingers in the pale strands of hair. Their own tightened against Crims' clothing, gripping the fabric, a soft sound of surprise escaping at the n**.

The laughter - the laughter was beautiful, and Thrymr was dazzled by it, but did not get a chance to say anything, because Crims was kissing him again, and his heart was beating wildly, Thrymr leaning fully against the warm, solid body.

Beneath Crims' mouth, Thrymr's pulse reached a crescendo, a little sound puled from their throat, a steady flush starting to decorate their cheeks.

"Ahe," they whispered breathlessly. "Call - call me Ahe."

For a moment, there was a hesitation, and then Thrymr's hand snaked up, slid into Crims' hair to hold him in place.

"I'm sure," said Ahe, fingers clenching. "That it is you who is doing the tempting, dear, dear man."
