Remarque's unhappy silence was almost as hard to endure as yelling would have been. Hell, Navi might have preferred the latter, at least then she might have been able to get angry, to yell herself, defend herself. Instead she just felt awful as she recounted the events that had led to her purification. She'd never wanted to hurt them, that hadn't been the plan. Tears were starting to fall, almost too quickly to catch before they made their warm crawl down the curve of her cheeks. She drew in an unsteady breath, held it a moment to try to settle her nerve, but it shook when she let it go. "Putting my life back together." For the second time. "Trying to adjust. Trying to keep people safe." She didn't miss the energy gathering. To that she could admit easily. It had always been a necessary evil in her mind. "I needed royalty," she spoke up before he could comment on what she'd just said. "Camelot had to purify the thing I took from mirror space. It was very painful, very hard on the body. I'm not sure why. I sleep for about 32 hours afterwards. Chaonis says it was like darkness melted away, literally." She wondered if she should mention Painite's attack, or Hadaya and her connection to him. How much did she want to tell him. How much could she trust him. She wanted to, she just wasn't sure.

For another moment, Remarque was quiet. Finally, he just sighed and shifted into his Prince form. From there, he stooped a bit to be at her eye level. Then, he tugged at the scarf that hung around his neck and folded it up a bit so he could dab at the tears on Navi's face.
"Under different circumstances, perhaps I would have done the same, then," he said, though there was no telling if it was the truth or something he said to console her. He wasn't happy, but it wasn't helping the situation. He couldn’t think of Navi as a liar, so doing this must have meant something.
If he'd really wanted her back in the Court, he could have had her. He could have opened a mirror and thrown her through. The downside was that she'd have come back weaker. And she wouldn't trust him. She'd remember the betrayal, and she would remember how to purify again.
She was lost to the Court, as a Dark Mirror Senshi, but as a member of the White Moon—and as an ally of the Court—perhaps she could work from the inside. "I will miss you. Lesath will miss you. But whatever path you're on now…I hope it's for the best."
When he'd sopped up the last of the tears, he lowered his scarf and stood up straight again.
"You will keep in contact, won't you? And let me know if you ever need assistance. I would not be so quick to abandon you. No matter what color you wear." He wore a small, hopefully reassuring smile and clasped her shoulder.
He wasn't happy to lose her, but they could make this work. Or, at least, try to.

She appreciated the kindness he was showing her, the cap on the anger she knew he had to be feeling. The possible anger, the definite disappointment. She wished she could have found a way to make herself happy, that would hurt the people she cared about. She wished the war was over, so there was no need to hide anymore, and they could all just go back to their lives. Wishful thinking, and foolish. Navi sighed, but a shadow a smile was returning, and she brushed her fingers over her cheek now that it was dry. "I already miss all of you," she admitted, voice soft. This wasn't the end though, and it wasn't goodbye. She didn't want to simply forget the connections she'd made in the Dark Mirror Court. She could still be their friend, their alley. They aren't a part of the Negaverse, they were separate, just trying to survive. She could still help them. Couldn't she? The smile grew stronger, and she nodded. "Of course I will. And if there's anything I can do to help you, or anyone else of the court..."

Remarque did not smile; he could not manage that. He did however, nod.
"You will be missed as well. If we need something, I will seek you out. I am disappointed that I have no way to contact you, but we'll figure something out."
He needed time to think, and calm down. To talk to Raven, and process the information he had been given.
"You should go home and rest. You'll have to worry about the Negaverse now more than ever. Don't let them catch you like this, they'll make easy prey of you."
He gave her shoulder one quick clasp, and as reassuring a pat as he could manage. "It was good to see you. I am glad to know you are well. See to it that you stay that way, won't you?"

"I was thinking about that," she admitted softly, toying with her fingers again as she looked down at her toes. "When...after Lesath and Chaonis came to recue me from Painite, when I was in the hospital, Lesath gave me a disposable phone, and one to Chaonis. They just had the other number programmed in, but that was it. It was just so we could text, so he'd know I was alright..." She really didn't want to get the senshi of moths in trouble here, but what was done was done. "That could work, maybe. I was thinking of seeing if Lesath might want to do the same now, for us." If she wasn't angry with her for leaving. The blonde had known it was coming, she'd even helped up to a point, but sometimes feelings weren't that rational. But they could talk about that more later. She was tired, even more now, drained emotionally. "I'll stay out of trouble. Just, can you give Lesath a message for me?" She looked up then, meeting his eyes again. "Can you see if she'll meet me by the fountain in the park in two weeks time?"

Remarque watched her closely and was quiet for a moment. His gaze was focused, but his emotion was fairly unreadable until, finally, he nodded. "I'll pass on that message to her. Just make sure you show up and stay safe until then. I don't want her—or you—to get hurt."
He didn't know exactly how much Lesath had said or done, but he had known that she was close to Navi, and he wasn't going to deny them the chance to reconnect. He loved Lesath, and even if he wasn't always sure he understood what she was doing, he wanted her to be happy.
At the very least, maybe she could get some closer out of that."

She nodded, too quickly and a few too many times, but she seemed to be calming. At the very least she was smiling, even if she seemed to be unable to stop small fingers from twisting in the front of her skirts. "I will. Honestly I don't go out alone much. There's usually someone with me." Be it Royal knight, eternal senshi, or guardian cat. She didn't make it a habit of being reckless. "Thank you." She was stepping backwards, making the first move to leave their impromptu meeting. "I'm around, if you need me." She'd have to think of a way they could contact her, since she didn't have the compact anymore. "Please be safe as well." And wit that she turned, stepping off the edge of the building to drop down to the street below.
